How to deal with hot-linkers?

Long story short, someone has hot-linked to an image on our website for use on their website. I could replace the image with something like two goats ****ing to screw with them, but I was wondering if there is a better solution? One that might result in some positive link juice and/or drive traffic back to our website.

Thoughts?

Stick a transfer over it - with your url/domain name. Not pretty and I don't like it but it always stops plagiarism.

I hate to admit this, but I'm not really sure by what you mean by "Stick a transfer over it"

Overlay your library of images with a transparent url or name of your site - it's visible but won't detract from any images or videos.
