Guys :D

Soooo....I have a rather new blog that has been live since October or something (Netentstalker).

Today I stumbled over a few NetEnt affiliate sites (probably the same owner) that had copied at least 5 of my posts/articles (I saw 5, but probably more). They had of course added their own affiliate codes.

Quite annoying yes.

Advice on how to prevent it?

There is a very good video that the GPWA did with some one (a bingo affiliate) and he gets his own back really good.

It basicly makes big signs seen on the persons site saying shit or somethng like that. Are you a good developer?

If you are i can tell you how to do it?

(the sign will only show up on there site and not yours.

That sounds a bit too complicated, but thanks hehe :D

I have integrated a plugin today that disable text selection/right clicks etc. It may at least prevent the most basic attempts.

Here is one example of a post I wrote Dec 16:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

They only changed image and title (took a screenshot of their blog post instead of publishing their address):

Ah yes i see. There is one more good point that you can think to your self.

Affiliates need good SEO and one of the main points is unique Content for the Bots to crall.

Copying someone elses Content does not help there site AT ALL . So just laugh at them. The other good point is that they will never make a success with there site as they simply cant be arsed!

Here are some tools to stop these ass holes.

Authpro - Its free / That will stop people copying text or stealing Images. / Also its a login system for your site so members can login (If anyone decides to use it and have problems contact me as im a expert with it lol) It also has lots of other good features

Copyscape - Find them content thieves.

Unfortunately there are people specializing in copying websites, and there are sites where you can "order" a copy of a whole website...for as little as 50-100 bucks.
This would be the same places, where you can buy Facebook "likes", and facebook votes etc. for next to nothing.

If there's money to get, someone will try to get it by all means.

This tool impo will not stop thieves, people can download a whole website with chrome plugins and just copy it all from there, and there are several other ways to get what you want from a site, if there desperate enough they will get it. If they are not ranking higher than you for the article/s etc then I wouldn't worry to much (or report it at the very least to Google via "webamaster tools". It was them who needed to resort to stealing it in the first place so you must be doing something right :p

The other thing you are doing is if someone like me visits your site, I always, always right click links and click "Open link in new tab" or I may highlight some text then right click and then click "search Google for Rainmaker" now if I cannot do this on your site I may crack it and leave haha  the other point on this is this also means if you have a link that is not using some sort of open link in new window code, you could potentially be losing players as they are redirected to the casino site and have lost there focus on your site.

That is a very good point

I now turned on the right click function again hehe. Like you, I always right click and open links in new window/tab (although this should happen automatically with most of my links on the blog).

I will still have the text selection-thing activated. I know that those who want to steal content always will find a way to do it (page source etc), but it may at least prevent the most basic attempts (and make it a bit more time consuming). Those who have stolen content from a few of my posts have most likely just copy&past.

Thanks guys :D
