Affiliate Edge yesterday afternoon alerted me to an email they received from an individual pretending to work for my site OnlineCasinoReviewer.com

The basis of the email was to procure an upfront fee to get listed on OnlineCasinoReviewer.com

However the email address was from the domain OnlineSCasinoReviewer.com and the scammer has redirected this domain, to my own site www.onlinecasinoreviewer.com

From speaking with several affiliate managers today, including several I do not work with, it appears this scammer has been in touch, trying to secure a deal and an up front payment.

The email that is being sent out is similar to the one below:

Hi,

We are looking to add new casinos to our listings for hybrid CPA/Rev share deals in March. Can you please let me know what you currently have to offer?

We will not work with casinos that take American players.

Let me know!

Cheers,

I have added a warning to advertisers as a result on the home page of www.onlinecasinoreviewer.com in the second paragraph below the casino grid.

But all programs should be aware this kind of scam is becoming more and more frequent. Apparently PokerListings.com were targetted recently, whereby the scammer registered the domain PokerSListings.com

Are there no depths to which these integrity challenged bloody internet crooks will not stoop?

IMO this is blatant fraud and theft, and this bastard deserves to go to jail.

Have you tried a Google search or contacting this nasty bugger on his Skype connection, Dave?

Maybe reporting him to his domain registrar?

I would want to do everything I could think of to make his life uncomfortable.

I've added him to Skype, but no joy. His whois details are also false. A major pain, but hopefully with the warning I have put on the home page and by also posting warnings here and over on the GPWA, most programs will be aware of this scam.

I haven't really got the time to chase this one down as far too busy working on my own sites.
