Been getting a ton of spam from LeoVegas recently, another casino who seemingly aren't that bothered about stopping spam.
<snipped URL>

Got that email tonight, really good spam seeing as Cheltenham finished 2 months ago, but at least it has a LeoVegas email address on so you can see who devised the mail.

Now, why do I say they aren't that bothered about stopping spam?

Heres the screenshot of the email tonight, check the sender.

Now heres a screenshot of an email I forwarded to LeoVegas support a month ago

I was assured by live chat they would stop this affiliate emailing me (by Francesca) and despite me not wanting to, used the unsubscribe button on the email after being asked to by Francesca. Here is the reply from LV support

So

1. I have not subscribed to this spam as far as I am aware, although it is a very old email address and has probably been scraped at some point.
2. I used the unsubscribe button, clearly doesn't work]
3. Told by live chat and by email they would get me removed from the list, they obviously didn't.

Am getting loads of spam for these at the moment, but this is the first one I could prove is complete spam. The fact LeoVegas have asked the affiliate to remove me, and I'm still getting the emails, should prove to them without a doubt it is spam. Have sent James a link to this thread.

Hi Colin.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We have followed this up with the affiliate and was told that their was an issue with this mailer that has now been amended. We have also confirmed the minimum and maximum amount of mails sent out by this affiliate so we don't have an instance like this again. I will also follow this up with the guys in support.

Thanks again!
James

another one, could you get the proof of opt in from this one James please, as the email address it was sent to has only ever been used to sign up to 888 casino (as you can tell from the non blanked out part of the to address)

Forgot to quote you, sorry, quoted so you get a notification.

EDIT: I also don't see anything like that offer using their link, no free spins with no deposit for a start.

Hi Colin.

Could you send me your Email address via a private message so I can look into it with this affiliate?

In the meantime I have requested that your name be taken off the mailer list. Regarding the offer, they have not yet updated the welcome and are communicated an expired welcome offer. We were able to clear that up also. The current welcome offer is 20 free spins for UK based players on sign up. I will look into this with your Email address also. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Cheers,
James

Hi James

For some reason I didn't get a notification that you had replied to this, which is why I never sent any PM :(

I am still getting upwards of 12 spam emails from the last named affiliate in this thread per week.

I have reported it to your support previously, yet it still continues.

The tracking link is

xxhttps://www.leovegas.com/en/?btag=657882_DBEC67862986497D8761AFE997925DC7&pid=3090301&bid=8653#

I will PM you the various emails addresses they are spamming 3-4 times a week, and I would like you to get the proof of opt in for each one please, which they will, of course have, to comply with the law ;)

Getting spammed to death from one of your affiliates today, have forwarded some of the emails to your email address James

Well it seems as though LeoVegas aren't bothered about spammers as no reply to this thread or my emails.

Also waiting for a response to a PM sent about something else from last week, which they haven't bothered replying to.

Well, they've gone one step too far for me now.

At 9:26 am, I received a phone call from an unknown number (020 3630 1661). So I did a quick check using the reverse phone number sites, and found out the call was from LeoVegas (or possibly a telemarketing company working on their behalf).

I DO NOT need casinos calling me during, what most people consider, standard working hours.

I'm not bothered about emails or an sms. But I received neither of theses, just a phone call.
I just checked my account, and found I can opt-in for email and sms communications. But there's no option for phone.

According to a lot of the reports of this number, they're only asking people to complete a survey :mad:

Hi Brianmon,

Yes, we do routinely contact our customers to gain any feedback we can. We make these calls during this time frame as we think it's a better alternative to trying to do so in the evening - we have all received those calls! If you could shoot me a PM with your contact number or Email I can make sure you are not contact from the team.

Regards,
James

Hi Colin,

Your Emails were arriving to my Spam inbox (ironic!). Thanks for flagging these and forwarding straight to me, I will look into this and get back to you directly very soon.

James

Slightly off topic James but while you're about please.....

I took a deposit match the weekend, discovering it required a 70x turnover!!!!

Have you now doubled you standard 35x or was this a 'one off'?

Cheers

Hi Jon,

I will need to see this offer. Will send you a PM now.

Cheers,
James

Don't worry about it. I've blocked the number now, after they called AGAIN at 11:19am today.

I'd like to know why you think it's a 'better alternative' to call people during working hours than in the evening?

Better for who? you or your customers?

Hi Brian,

Well I am sure some will have a different opinion on this but, from the numbers and feedback we see, calling during these hours is far better received by customers.

As much as I understand the need for these phone calls from a business perspective, there should be an opt out available. This is why I NEVER give casinos my main number, I have a second phone that gets used and switched on once per day just to see if there are any important texts. The only person connected to a casino who I have gave my main number to was Dan at VS and that was on the condition it was never noted anywhere on my account!

Hi Colin,

I think you make a fair point and I will raise this.

Cheers,
James
