I have just visited a site called unrollme.com and in a couple of simple steps, was able to see all subscribed e-mail links associated with my e-mail address and was able to simply unsubscribe from each one. There were loads for casino sites which I have never even heard of, let alone subscribed to!

Early days yet so don't know how effective it will be, but fingers crossed it will stop a lot of spam.

I am not actively promoting the site and I am not associated with it, but it seems a step in the right direction to clearing out my spam and inbox folders.

the issue I've always had with unsolicited email, i.e the ones you actually never signed up for and have been scraped is that unsubscribing or even donwloading images from thier emails is bascially a signal that the account is active and being used = more spam.

best solution get a sepearte email for any casino stuff, and nuke it after a number of years if the spam gets out of hand :)

Yeah not too sure handing over something as personal as your email to a 3rd party company is the answer. You'll likely still get spam truth be told, as your info is probably going to get sold on :(

The multiple-emails option is the only one that ensures a clean break

Read a couple of reviews for the product, including PC World. They seem pretty positive. May be ineffective at keeping all spam at bay, but seems handy to unsubribe for places/newsletters etc you did opt into but no longer need, and allows you to keep ones in separate folders that you may want from time to time, but not say daily or weekly. I can go read the past 12 months of Bone Health for instance in one folder, without having a weekly update to contend with in my main inbox.

To be honest, i rarely get spam email to my two main addresses. One i had for 18 years now and i still use it for every casino registration, still very little spam, but then i stopped years ago registering a dodgy places.

I get lots to an old address i don't use anymore. Did though at the beginning of my online gaming career and that is where the spam is all coming from. That address must have been sold on a gazillion times as the spam is coming continuously from new superb companies offering various services and products.

This is exactly what happened. While they were scanning your inbox to unsubscribe you from mailing lists they were also collecting other data and selling it to the likes of uber.

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Why anyone would consider handing over control of their inbox to a 3rd party baffles me to be honest. It rarely ends well.
