Any body notice a influx of spam?

Well I have and some from reputable brands, I just add a few, one is from casumo which has some link to dunder (Investors I think was the last statement we got)But also of Rizk which runs from the same platform as Dunder MT SECURE (Gut's operation)

I want theses idiots named and shamed, You guys have got the power to let us know who is registered with the affiliate link so please let us know, Its the only way they will learn,

A dodgy casino I can understand but when coming from good brands it's not good,

Rizk

Thanks for this Spintee, clearly we do not condone this type of Spam and we will look into it and shut it down ASAP

Interesting Spintee, hadn't actually thought of using the afflinks to name and shame. Even if they are not named and shamed these operators have the option of closing these accounts or at the very least giving these guys a good ticking off. The more spammers we can weed out the better this industry will be.

Absolutely, The more we can fish out the better, As an affiliate yourself you know how much hard work goes into stuff, than we get the rogues and big multi affiliates spamming the life out of us, I know Dunover done a great post about stopping affiliate spam but posted in there numerous times but unfortunately that thread seems to have come to an abrupt halt, So I thought I try and give another call out,

I honestly do not mind emails as long as there from legit casino and I have opted for emails, There has to be a line somewhere such as an email telling me a new game as been added, to me is a pointless one, Unless of course its letting me know there are a few free spins :) But rarely that happens,

But just in the last two weeks it seems as if my details have been leaked as wow I have never seen so many, I have a number of email accounts & do they get blasted with spam ? NO They are only used for certain things.
Also there are links in alot of emails to unsubscribe, I am no way going to use such facility as than they will know I have an active email,

Email lists seems to move round the internet in mysterious ways. In the past I have seen them for sale on forums and other places. Some of these guys just buy the lists and spam the craps out of them. You are absolutely right, when you are trying to do things the right way they come in and make it harder for everyone else. Hopefully those operators mentioned will seek to get rid of affiliates like this.

Thanks for sharing Spintee. I will follow your lead if I get any.

For every spamming affiliate removed there'll only be another one to replace them. I'm still getting stuff like this with alaming regularity in my junk folder from sites I'm already registered at for years of course, often with the promise of a batch of glorious and much-coveted Starburst spins

Don't really know the world of affiliates and don't claim to be an expert on the matter but it seems a bit reminiscent of the Wild West. With casinos regulating our playing habits 'for our own protection' through gritted teeth, it appears as if no real checks are being made as to how people get signed up, but more of a percentages game and how much business they can attract.

Perhaps casinos themselves could do more to actively follow affiliates' methods and audit their work and not just let them loose on an unsuspecting public, particularly given that people's sensitive personal information is being touted about willy nilly....

I agree for every affiliate removed there will be two more to replace, The thing is if we can get the word out and people will post more than its got to have some sort of impact,

Just imagine if an affiliate was due 15k than being told that there not getting a cent :) This is what should be happening, I think there would be alot less as they know they will be risking it, I have signed up to affiliate programs my self, Its like buying a bus ticket into town, Some are more curious than others,

I also know there is some bigger operations that take on peoples affiliate links etc and when people sign up to certain sites they are also agreeing to receive such mail, BUT again this is rouge also as hidden box's to tick and what not you shouldn't be there in the first instance,

100% fact that email of Dunder from niteyballs.com I ubsubscribed some weeks back, I was messing about trying to find some hidden links and accidentaily pressed the unsub button in the new window, So thats at least one unsolisted email,

I also know that theses mass email companies do warn people and have rules such as must have unsubscribe link and recipients must of agreed to emails, But its not worth the paper its written on

Another from casumo, There is a unsub link but why should I have to Unsub for something I have not subscribed too? Beside why should I risk giving them a active email account,

Who thought that header would be a good idea :what:

Cheesy at best and just plain annoying, I hate these type of spam emails in general. No different to the ones I get in my junk folder stating I've won five grand compensation for that 'recent accident', or asking me to click a link to claim my Nigerian Lottery prize

Really poor show from these affiliates

Unsubscribe links on any spam email should never be clicked - all it does is tell them, your account email address is still actively monitored. You'll just get bombarded with more spam from either them or they'll share / sell your details to others!

Oh yes, very true, The last few days there has been an increase in spam, I would love to know where they originate from, I think the casino site in question should let us know, Who or what company is behind them,

@spintee Can you please try to share full link (with Affiliate ID) so I can check who it is?

Thanks

I am getting 3 different tags when click link, I already added the first ones, And prety hard to catch the other as quick, And cannot see them actual link's in the source,

Right the 'btag' number means 'banner tag' that's basically the affiliate's code for that marketing picture/banner or promotion that the spammer has chosen to use from the affiliate's marketing library.

id=152524 is the code for the spamming piece of shit and that's how the affiliate identifies the twat and pays him/her.

I noticed an influx of spam like these a while back on my email account-I have had the address for years and already had a lot of subscriptions/memberships/competition entries and associated spam connected to it so it was getting quite a pain to sift out the fake from the legit (being on ipad majority of the time, I never used the website/laptop version nor could really be too bothered to set up the settings to automatically weed out the crap-I dealt with reading and deleting them for a while but soon I was getting so many more into the 100s with each new login, it was such a pain to scroll through them all each day to assess for scams/russian brides or erection supplements and secretly hope that the subject line really might be a legit one for once-especially those with ridiculous notifications like "$549,787,000 has been sent to your bank account" HA!

I ended up transferring my 'proper' casino accounts to a new address that I set up-solely for my own ease of organisation and use it for those trusted sites I play at most/deposit with etc to avoid the 'spam-mageddon' and also to make it easier so that I wouldn't risk accidentally deleting the real offers from those sites for bonuses/freebies from those sites. Thankfully I have not had any of that spam junk emails/affiliate or otherwise since but having kept the other email account open, it's easy for me to spot the fakies-if I have transferred my 'serious' memberships to the new addy and it's there, then it's gotta be a scammy junk or otherwise it's a junky affiliate from some other site I left connected to that one...

I can't recall having had any from those mentioned up top in this thread in particular like Rizk/Casumo, and I haven't got any screenshots or anything, but wanted to add in case others had noticed similar: LeoVegas and Vera&John are two I can think of--I always had really legit looking spam emails for them with signup/deposit bonuses etc etc But also, given I sometimes used to sign up to so many things with that account like competitions, newsletters and so on I was never too bothered to look further into them-addresses/affiliates etc... Usually just hit the trash can on the majority of em... haha, maybe after having a nosey to see if it was legit or whether the offer was a really good deal LoL

@spintee
