Casino phone spam at 3 AM

Some casino called my dad (who's a very occasional player and probably hasn't played in over a year) last night at 3 AM to offer him a promotion. My dad tried to explain that it was the middle of the night, but the lady on the phone didn't seem to understand that Canada was in a different time zone (WTF). Without going into details about his health, he's no longer a spring chicken and getting woke up in the middle of the night and getting mad/stressed to the point that he couldn't go back to sleep isn't very good for him.

Now unfortunately I don't know who called since he didn't remember, but I also received a phone call spam yesterday. It was from Sky Vegas (at 4 PM, though) offering a 100% match promotion, which I declined. If any Canadian received a phone call spam in the middle of the night recently, please PM me the name so I can call them back and explain basic geography to the manager.

PS: Phone spam is the worst kind of spam and any casino that makes an unsolicited phone call to my home is losing my business for life (and I'm not kidding).

Pathetic.

Yes, I once had a FL casino ring up and my missus answered, and said 'oi xxxxxx, it's a casino for you'. This would have been highly embarrassing if she didn't know that I had a tinker at the weekend nights. This bloke was in S.Africa, somewhere I used to live so I know it has the same GMT time zone as I do fortunately. FL, spinandwin and 24hrpoker are the only ones to ever ring me up, although others text sometimes. But to have calls without regard to your time zone is plain dumb.

I had another spam today from 888.com despite not playing there for years - it's started again.

They've either got a fake facebook page or affiliate stooge - you've got to see it, it's pathetic, a decent-looking femme fatale making sure she's telling all the fools she's 'single and looking for love' while trying to get them signing-up or depositing through affiliate links.

I've provided the link here just so you can see what I mean - would you be dumb enough to fall for this new low in affiliate spamming?
'She' must have approval of 888.com to do this?

Phone spam is the cardinal sin as far as I'm concerned, any casino that inflicts it on me goes onto my shitlist for life, along with any other casino in the group.

It's just so invasive, so intrusive, that any casino thinks it has the right to impose itself on someone like that boggles my mind.

Even at an 'ideal moment' it'd be an entirely unforgivable imposition, but the scope for it to be at a bad time is just so great. Who the hell wants a casino ringing them up with bonus offers in the middle of a family crisis, or when they're changing the baby's nappy, or eating a meal, or 'enjoying a moment' with their significant other?

The fact that the casino in this case hasn't even got the fucking time zone right is even worse again.

If you find out who the casino was Balth, please do name and shame, as from a player solidarity perspective they'll go onto my 'never play again' list as well.

I'm also surprised to hear about Sky Vegas, I didn't think they were the sort of operation to use phone spam, are you sure you're not opted in for it (either by design or accident)?

Personally I don't think a casino that uses phone spam should be able to be accredited.

It was their sports book (Sky Bet). I don't know if I opted in by accident (I don't even remember playing there), but I do know that this guy won't call again.

Hang 'em high from the nearest yardarm. Phone spam is the worst. 3 a.m. is a killer. Scares me to death.... I call it the 'who died?!?!' time of night.

I had it happen once as well, at roughly 4 in the morning, from an accredited casino. Safe to say I'm off their phone list, because if I ever receive a call at home, that casino is also off my list.

I get this quite often - and it's usually a South African at the other end of the phone. I tell them - and then email the casino - that I don't want any contact by phone - and then it happens again a few months later.

Annoying.

I get daily SMS messages from Spin Palace and they ring me at least once a week, but I always decline. They have since resorted to posting me cardboard flyers with promotions on them. Just recently I had a "100 Free Spins on Hell Boy" (after a deposit) flyer arrive but the terms only paid on 1c/10 lines... Ick.

Don't you believe it - when their telesales people are on an incentive, they will leave no stone unturned.....

I feel the same as Mousey , a call at that hour means something really bad has happened, when you have older parents or sick family members and get a call like that , after your heart stops racing it makes you want to strangle the crap out of them or give them such a cussing that would cross all language barriers F' You , comes to mind !!!
