New legislation has passed the senate in australia banning us from all gambling via online casinos and online poker sites.
its really ahrd to get a simple breakdown f what this includes and what it means to the individual player.
i love my online slots and mostly play at videoslots and 32red. does anyone know if they will be pulling out of the australian market?
any info for me -Dan@videoslots and Mark@32red

Hi halibaker,

We are currently following what's happening in Australia. Things aren't looking so good at the moment. The law has not come into force yet, but if/when it does, we will probably have to stop accepting Australian customers. However, we are still investigating our options.

Br,

Daniel

32Red announced today that they are stopping taking Aussie sign-ups from April 3rd, and expect to withdraw from the market "in due course".
It is expected that ALL MG & NetEnt based casinos will leave Aus by the end of April.
This has been on the cards for quite a while, as anyone who's seen my signature link would have known... :p

Yes, because gambling profits are heading overseas to casinos with 96%+ pay outs as opposed to those awful Pokies the Australian states rake so much tax in from. It's protectionism, but I guarantee you you'll have Australian online sites take their place in short order, paying more tax into the Aussie coffers and state online casinos. Basically you'll end up like say New Jersey or the UK, a regulated tax-collecting online industry.

What about Australian affiliates?

P.S. for 10k I'm selling the 3 players I recruited for the All Australian Casino at L&L affiliates :D:D

Anyone got a fake ID that will get my 1yr old into a casino?

I asked on 32red chat just before posting last time, but was told they didn't have an exact answer, I said I'd be sad if 32red pulled out of Australia, and Monika said she hadn't heard anything like that, and in the unlikely event it does happen, we will be informed well in advance. Its not her fault for not having all the facts, and when a law is passed, things change to abide by it asap. But dammit it gave me hope and reassurance. To be honest, I was searching high and low for any thing I could use as a blanket to hide my head under, a false sense of security blanket maybe.
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezuz fuuuuucking Christ. Fuck shit fuck fuuuuuuuuck. Nooooo :'( Apologies for my language, im sure you understand, its to be expected in situations like this. Another awesome thing for me is I live in Western Australia so my only option is the one venue -crown casino, which as far as I know does not even have a law surrounding its payout % unlike the other states.
I don't know if I'm right, but when I was gambling only at the crown casino I lost maybe 15-30 thousand a year over 5 years (probably even lost more) compared to around 1 thousand a year online.. I had seen myself as a problem gambler, until i started gambling online. I did not spent less time gambling, I just didn't lose all the time.
Is it possible that as online gambling is so much more widely accessible (for single parents, people without establishments nearby, people who maybe drink or have no car or lic as its unsafe and illegal for them to drive to a casino, etc etc, ) that a larger percentage of us do gamble, but responsibly, and amounts that are manageable (spending more as an entire country yes, but lowering the number of problem gamblers)
80% of us gamble, but im damn sure there's not 80% of Australia at the casinos, meaning a lot less percentage of australians are probably losing a lot more. And you could argue about what constitutes a gambling problem, whether its time spent versus the amount of money being spent. There is always 24hrs in a day, if you lose for all of those 24hrs, its going to cost a hell of a lot more and more often than not its losing more than we can afford that defines it being a problem. If you win (even if the end result means you are down) for even a few of those 24hrs you don't spend as much, and are less likely to spend as much as would be problematic. I know it doesn't help the cause, but what are everyone's thoughts on my theory

Fu(k first smokes now this

I had a mate who got the banking letter too ive always used skrill or eco in the past as skrill can also look like purchases from places like dhgate ect and im just (ordering laptop parts} for my repair shop.

Banning the entire online casinos thats so wrong im stuck inside everyday looking after my kid fixing laptops and listening to metal that is my life and nothing helps relive the stress more than a few spins at 32red or slotsmillion.

What am i going to do now well lets see go mad or take my revenge...

Only about 10% of my slot play is in brick and mortar casinos why is that well $50 seem to go in 5 minutes on 30 cent bets thats why.
the Australian government is so bloody greedy i was angry at the old gov for making a pack of smokes over $20 first up but i let that go dealt with it. This has now impacted on my freedom of internet beliefs in a huge way. Will i try and find every work around yes will i go as far as playing more than i do at brick and mortar casinos no.

There is such a thing as a fair chance and with the rtp on machines in Victoria its very little.

I fell bad for the online casino operators that lost a great deal pf players due to legal crap. i have enjoyed your games and your service comps ect and those who are willing to let me continue playing send me a pm as im about to live where my server lives in Amsterdam.

Randomiam,
How do you manage to keep good track of Skrill.?
I had 360.00 AUD go in to Skrill 4 days ago, I've used 330.00 and now I have a zero balance. All worked out in AUD dollars.
You lose too much with conversion rates.
I tried to do a cash out using my bank account linked to my M/card but was in pending for 7 hours at Videoslots so doesn't that look like an option.

This is terrible in every way, we have no rights?

Used to be a good country but everything is too expensive, high taxes, high energy bills and low pays

Is All Australian Casino going to be ok to stay with?

If I can't play at Video Slots or any Netent games I am going to be devastated :(

I always use the bank account linked to my MasterCard for my withdrawals, so it should be fine to use that method with videoslots if your fully verified. it just takes a tiny bit longer usually.
And I am in a similar situation, I am a single parent, I work part time (on my mums days off) and then spend the rest of my time with my daughter, i love being a mum but its not easy to say the least, and getting out of the house for my entertainment alone, just isn't possible and is not really what I want anyway, rather than taking a few hours away from my daughter, I have been able to be there for my daughter and have a quick game during a nap or when she is watching "in the night garden". That mini escape from the chaos was enough to keep my sanity in check, Without being too hard on my finances.
And stupid government making smoking more and more expensive, supposedly not to create more revenue, but to help us and get us to stop smoking.
If the latter was true, they would have subsidised the cost of methods that aid quitting. An example being how nicotine replacement therapy (like gum /patches etc) continually raise prices so that the cigarettes are just cheaper, costing us more (for the immediate cost) to try to quit, than to smoke.
They don't want us to stop, it generates that much revenue for them, as if they want to lose that, in sake of helping us, especially if they stop or lessen the funding on free healthcare, which they would love to do.

Way too much government interference in almost every aspect of life these days, everywhere imo.

And far too much taxation and restrictions on the manner in which we handle our hard-earned money.

The Aussie House of Representatives is on recess for six weeks at present, but when it returns to work expect the Interactive Gambling Amendment Act 2017 to be approved and become the law of the land, restricting in-play betting and advertising amongst its other provisions.

It's a sad situation for a country that was at one time (a long time ago) regarded as among the more modern and progressive in its approach to online gambling.

i deposit via mastercard and poli service (poli owned by australia post) and i cash out direct to my verified commbank bank account. never take the check option i had trouble cashing one once if you notice cash gone check the full statement and give them a call email is slow any issue ive had ive just had a 5 min call to the uk and sorted it. Some casinos the take deposits in AUD have it go thru a conversion like casinoroom where they get converted back on payment this can happen ive lost $30 on $500 before due to exchange rates. I do miss having the skrill atm card was so easy with some casinos i used to get paid instant walk down the atm and have cash instant such a shame it changed. also look into ecocard mabye too but i haven't kept up with there news i left them due to lower cash limits and higher fees at that time. thou its not going to matter much in a months time where our casino choice will be clip joint or nothing. :(

Well it's been sent to all affiliates, so I guess it's not confidential...

We are writing to inform you that as of midnight AEST on Monday 3rd April, TTRpartners.com and its associated brands will no longer be accepting registrations from Australian players. As a result, we request that with immediate effect you cease to promote our brands to Australian traffic and any links and promotional merchandise are removed from your site.

This is the first step in TTRpartners.com ceasing to operate in the Australian market. At this stage you will continue to earn revenue share from any existing Australian players you have referred, however we will continue to keep you updated on further developments in due course.
It then goes on to talk about other markets, but the above is the relevant bit.

If it still goes into your skrill you fine skrill is not kicking Australians as its used for many things not just gambling
its only a bunch of casinos kicking us out due to new laws.

thanks randomiam, I will need immdediately contact inetbet rep and see if they can pay me via skrill.
im not even sure if inetbet would be getting reid of australia as there not a microgaming or netent provider but rtg so you might be right anyway. Anything to do with cashing back to credit cards wont work but a direct wire to your bank account or skrill then to bank will be fine
theres no need to worry none of this has come into affect just yet i doubt it will affect rtg casinos.

So why RTG ? is that the only provider that will be left for Aussies or will there be other providers?

There is already a lot we can't play :(

We used to have so much choice we had a golden time but now the government wants people back in the venues for the tax at there horrid rtp

please do not go back to the clubs or venues. pokies with that kind of RTP will eat you alive in no time. I too miss those days we can play everything including WMS. And I will miss 32red. so many years...

Thanks randomiam,
This whole thing stinks. I as many here in oz are fed up with this bs government. People here are tiring of this dictatorship and are leaving the 3 majors in droves but that doesn't seem to worry Turncoat. He wasn't even elected by the people. His day will come and I can't wait for that smug look to be wiped permanently from his face.
Looks like he's already started with these bank actions so my guess is it will be going full steam ahead.
