William Hill upbeat on 2003 profits
William Hill (LSE: WMH.L - news) , the bookmaker, said on Friday it expected to announce full-year profits before interest, taxation and exceptional items towards the upper end of the range of analysts' forecasts.

The company will announce its results for the year to December 30 on March 4.

Chief executive David Harding said the group had an “excellent trading year” and added it looked forward to “further progress in 2004 based on our continuing product diversification and expansion in the number of betting opportunities”.

Shares in William Hill were down 0.3 per cent at 446.8p in mid-morning trade.
