I hit a huge jackpot on Manhattan slots up over 21 grand...Kept playing like an idiot and was down to 16k...At this point I put a block on my computer and began withdrawing...They only allow 2 per week at 1000 per withdrawal at a 9 dollar fee.

Here's the shady part...They sent a freechip offer for a free 75 buck chip..the chip has a max cashout of 750

I asked live support what would happen to the rest of my balance (there is still 14k in there)...She said it would be wiped out and only max 750 could be withdrawn..

I've never had any major problems with this site except that like many others...withdrawals take too long to be processed (2 to 3 days to be removed from pending).

IS THAT UNREAL OR WHAT????? Dont even mess with freechips unless your balance is ZERO.

I'm gonna have to call you on this one. All free chips given by Club World group have a max cashout of 10X unless it is something special just for a specific promo.

If this offer came via email, look at the bottom of the email. The terms and conditions are clearly stated.

It sucks to hit a big jackpot with a free chip but it happens. Has happened to me. Look at it this way, you could have lost but you didn't. Now you're $750 richer.

Make sure and make your withdrawal for the $750 plus the $75 free chip cause it is probably a 'sticky' bonus and will be removed from the withdrawal.

@ anniemac

the way I read it was that the "free chip" was sent AFTER the big jackpot was hit.....

not the way you stated.

I guess Lounice35 will let us know one way of the other.....

If that be the case, then the OP should stop right now and contact Tom. It is quite possible that the CS confused the OP with another caller.

However, if the OP was playing on a free chip, then my post stands.

Well, it's a good job you asked CS before you played the free chip. Is it in the T&C's? if so, they should make it prefectly clear, whilst you have a balance. IMVHO.

This is why I am thinking B&M casinos, than the hoops we have to jump through and think, before we plunk the money down.

Hope all is ok.

On the other hand, though..CWC does tend to send 'daily VIP bonuses' because of the amount of play and amount one has deposited over a short period of time.
So, maybe this is an automatic thing? and not one of 'shadiness'?

I get VIP bonuses and they always come via email and message in lobby and you have to physically claim the bonus just like you do a deposit bonus.

Now if you win a free chip from a contest or something like that, then it will just appear in your account but they don't add it until you have a zero balance.

But as I said, OP needs to contact Tom immediately. Then we will all know what's what.

Great reminder, Annie! CWC does do that...With CWC , not sure about their sister sites, though.

OK... I'm having a blonde moment... I'm not sure I see the problem? (Though their max WD per week thing sucks. But that's RTG for you.) I don't think you can deposit when you've got a WD pending? And wouldn't a free chip have to be claimed first? Don't claim it. You're not required to play it and lose your money in your account to the WR and max WD mess.

Don't do anything until all payouts are over and done. Play elsewhere. Or don't play at all.

When I say CW, I'm actually stating as a whole group. I play at all of them. :)

I think we are going to have to wait this one out until the OP clears up the post a bit.

He had probably already done it and that is why he is so angry.
Understandable! It's sad though that we have to speculate. He could have stayed and explained a little more.

This is just what I see:

I don't think that he played it BUT that the *thought* of a casino offering a bonus during his huge winnings that made him think twice.

Actually, I think the op has got their wires crossed here.

Afaik it is not possible to claim a free chip when you have a balance over $1. If this is not the case, then who in their right mind would do it anyway?

Did the op mention to the CSR that the extra balance would not have been generated from the free chip?

I think you'll.find it was a daily VIP offer and that nobody was sitting there dreaming up ways to trick you out of $14k. Remember, it was an OFFER which you had to physically claim, not one they just dropped into your account.

I really think the op has over-reacted here and should consider an apology to CWC for suggesting they were being deliberately underhanded.

I agree with the above posters. You have to claim the free chips from that group, so it comes down to did they just drop it in your balance or did you claim it? I have a balance over 2K right now at Highnoon and I still get my daily VIP offers and free chips but I would be INSANE to risk problems by claiming a free chip. Attaching something that has a max cashout to your normal money balance would not be wise.

Sooooooooooo the OP needs to answer. Did they just drop the free chip in your account, or did you claim the free chip?

The RTG cashier wont mix these things up. The $14k + is withdrawable unless the op misled us and the insertion of a bonus does not make it any more confusing. In other words, you can initiate a w/d even when a bonus is active. The whole issue seems to be an inexperienced player asking questions from a clueless staff. Naturally there are misunderstandings. Unless, of course, the winnings ie RJ winnings were derived from the free chip which makes the whole thing a non-issue.

We will have to wait for the OP to post again, he never said he claimed it, just stated he inquired about it. Unless I am missing something, I didn't read where he stated he actually accepted the free chip.

If he infact didn't claim it, he did the right thing by going to CS to ask what would happen if he would have accepted it.

But there is really nothing sly or sneaky about anything this place did, they sent him an offer, it is up to him to claim or not. Which I don't think he will.....

Hello,
Just to clarify the rules here. Winnings that are derived from free chips carry the maximum cashout restriction, the other winnings don’t.

If the OP claimed the free chip on top of his large balance we would never cancel out the original win, that would be just plain wrong.

We often give free chip coupon codes away to many players; if you already have a balance the best thing to do is to save the coupon codes for when you have finished withdrawing.

Kind Regards
Tom

The OP was wrong to simply state Manhattan Slots was shady but if what he/she states were true then your support staff are poorly-trained. They should have looked into the account and told the player the free chip and the winnings derived somewhere else dont mix. In fact, the cashier is very clear on this so anyone who has played at RTG for awhile knows about this. Nevertheless Tom, its great of you to post on a holiday though it might be better to get yourself involved in ensuring the apparent withdrawal delays are overcome and not just for USA players.

Well it depends what the op asked the CSR exactly.

If they asked "if I take a free chip and win, and have $14000 in my balance, what happens to it?", then the CSRs reply was correct.

Now, the op may have been referring to his current $14k balance, rather than a $14k balance won from the free chip, which is where I think the wires ate crossed.

In fact, they state they asked "what would happen to the rest of my balance" which, by itself, doesn't imply anything about a previous balance, hence the reply from the CSR based on that is correct.

@chipper

I think you need to calm down a bit and refrain from accusations of "sly and sneaky" etc until some kind of clarification occurs from the other party. Just friendly advice.

Given it is a relatively huge amount the staff should have made an effort to check the account in order to ensure a correct reply is given. As I stated before it is not possible to mix these things up. An MG bonus takes the whole balance with it and will only release the funds after wrs are met whereas for rtg the bonus and withdrawable balance are seperate. The op has made no effort whatsoever to clarify what he/she means and just calls the casino shady which is not proper.

But the belly buttons doesn't change. You'll have the same all your life;)

An opinion is maybe not so smart to form without knowing the truth. It can be awful having to change and defend it every day:)
