Hello everyone! Just wanted to see if my experience with the CWC verification process is typical and how much concern I should have :p. I understand the group is accredited and am not too worried about getting paid.

I made a QT deposit to CWC, took a 75% match bonus, and made playthrough and ended with $300 ($270 due to the sticky nature of the bonus). So, I sent the documentation in. This morning, I got the following request from the cashier:

Thank you for the email. We received all documents, to approve them we
also need proof of full time employment.

What a peculiar request. I'm a bit unnerved by the fact that I can't find any mention of it in any of the verification pages on the website or the form itself. Furthermore, I can't even comply with the request since I do not have a full-time job. I have responded to the e-mail with these concerns and expect a decent reply tomorrow morning that will clear this all up and get me my withdrawal.

Did anyone else have to provide this information? Thanks!

No, I've never been asked to prove fulltime employment by a casino.:eek2:

If I had been asked, I would tell them thats part of my private life and they got absolutely nothing to do with that.

How much longer before we REALLY have to send in a bloodsample..

Proof of employment :what:

I have never heard of such a thing.

Hopefully the rep can come clear this up a little bit.

WTH?? Never heard of such a thing...

My suggestion is to contact the CWC rep here on the forum...

go HERE

and click on Contact Info, then Send a private message.

Surely this is just some weird mix up.... at any rate... might save a bit of back and forth with emails by contacting the representative.

Congrats on your win!

And good luck!

No that doesn't seem right at all - you're not applying for a loan! I'd have trouble with that myself, I work freelance so I don't have proof of employment either. I'd definitely check with the rep, I think someone's got their wires twisted.

Never had that asked for before anywhere. Very strange.

Fraid I would have to tell them that I didn't believe that was any of their business and that as long as Quicktender was happy with me, then they should be.

Like Mousey said, contact the rep here. He will be much more able to help than CS.

WHO EVER ASKED YOU THAT SHOULD STOP TAKING STREET DRUGS

LOL.
I totally just spit out Coke.

Coca-Cola.
Not cocaine.

I'll give the CW rep a PM now -- thank you all for your prompt advice. Hopefully I can get this resolved sooner rather than later. The cross-Atlantic time difference makes conversations between the cashier and I long and tedious.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this term in their Terms of Use:

1. The Player is at least 18 years of age or has reached the legal age of maturity in his/her jurisdiction, whichever is greater. Full-time Students who are enrolled in a College or University are not permitted to play in the Casino.

I agree with the other posters that it is none of their business if you are employed full-time, part-time, an entrepeneur, independently wealthy, a housewife or whatever. I have never heard of such a thing. Like Chayton, I work from home for my ex husband's contracting company, and would be unable to provide PROOF (as in pay stubs or whatever) of full time employment. This stuff just gets crazier and crazier...even from reputable groups. I sure hope that Tom can shed some light on this.

Please read my post here...#100 regarding the student issue. I sincerely hope you are not a student Glunn. This guy wasn't even a student any longer, provided them proof of that, and they still refused to pay him. I'm starting to have some serious concerns with this group. Will wait to see what Tom has to say.

EDIT: I see in your profile that you just turned 18. Again, I hope you are not a student.

That's just downright horrible. Thankfully, I'm not a college student -- I'll be going to school next fall. I spend my time doing a lot of independent computer teching at neighbors' houses and writing online.

I really hope Tom can get this squared away myself.

You just turned 18? I hope before you started playing at CW? Might cause a problem if you were playing before you turned legal.

I wonder what CWC comes up with next.
Maybe they will want your full medical history in the future...

a breathalyzer and a blood test. Ooops sorry chayton you can't play tonight! Just think of all the money I could have saved! ;)

A subsequent reply from CS defined "proof of employment" as including a kind of invoice. I was able to obtain one relatively easy and send it to support; nonetheless, I would like to know why I have to provide job information to Club World and anticipate Tom's reply.

It's night time here in the states, so I'm off to hit the hay. I've stayed up long enough to get at least one more message from the UK support from CWC, which was enough to send a proper invoice.

WTF? That's too much info to ask for and none of their business what you do or where you work.

I look forward to answers from Tom on this issue in the morning.

Huh? What kind of invoice? How is an invoice a proof of employment?

Beyond ridiculous.

My gut instincts says that there is more to this than what the OP has presented. I anticipate we'll find out what's up.

My guess it has something to do with CWC disallowing students. IMO you shouldn't be throwing money at a casino until you're at least 25 :p

I'm sure B is right and there's a good reason for CW's request ... but it does sound a bit odd. For instance I would have a tough time satisfying their request! I've worked steadily my entire adult life and although I've had contracts, self-employment, etc I haven't had a "full time job" since 1991.

I hope someone from CWC can give us the whole story on this one.
I like to hear this one.

As part of our responsible gaming commitments we are not permitted to allow people who are in full time education to gamble with us.

We have strong evidence that Glunn11 is a student and is currently studying for a degree. When we asked him about this he claimed he was no longer a student and was working for a living so we asked him to provide some documentary evidence to support this.

Our account verification process is quite straightforward and consistent, however in certain circumstances we may ask for additional documentation to cover off any specific areas of concern.

Kind Regards
Tom
