I firstly want to say I'm a gambling addict. I was able to open an account with a sister site of a company I have self excluded from two of their other sites. I checked in their terms and didn't recognise the owners. As I'm self excluded from loads of online casino's usually if I try to open a new account with a company I'm excluded from they will not let me. My issue is this... yesterday I spent 8hours plus gambling and this morning I received an email about responsible gambling. I contacted them to ask if I was self excluded from any of their sites and they said yes we will now be closing your account because your excluded from our other sites. My issue is this.... they say that they didn't pick up on my excluded status because I used a different address. I didn't the address where I live has changed slightly and because I had to choose from the drop down box I had to choose flat b instead of flat 2. All other details email address/ date of birth/ phone number etc is the same. Any thoughts?
I can't believe they just check the address. They say that if I had sent in documents they would have picked up on it, so if I had tried to withdraw they would have closed my account straight away and refunded my deposits. I would just like to know what people think about my situation.

You should stop registering to any casinosites if you have problems with gambling and need to self exclude.

And then you gave incorrect data in form of address, in this case you should contact the CS for advice first etc

You obviously didn't read what I said properly I did not give incorrect data and it's easy to say don't register with gambling sites when you don't have a problem! That is why casinos have responsible gambling practices they are supposed to follow to help people like me. If I could stop gambling then I wouldn't have a problem!

All casinos, reputable ones just as much as the roguest, will use any legal, illegal and possible way to collect and keep your money.

Sister sites under same license have, among other, the purpose of tackling every (careless gambling addict) player who once self excluded:
- if you win, bam you were SE elsewhere, WD denied,
- if you lose, well
in either case
maybe they refund your deposits: casino wins nothing, loses absolutely nothing. Actually still wins your data and will sell it, period.
maybe they don't refund because a) they're not legally obliged b) they're obliged but won't because b1) you won't notice b2) you do, but won't go all the legal process b3) you did accept in their T&C ("casino reserve right to confiscate your saul and blood if...") . casino keeps deposits more often they should.

Patrick's right, they will do anything to keep your cash, But you have to be very carfull if you put wrong details in than your fucked from the off start, I know you said there was not an option but like Patrick said they will do anything not to pay,

You should be intiteld to your money back, Also if you are addicted than why close accounts? this will only cause problems in the long run, as you have found out, there will always be casino you can sign up to so closing accounts is pointless, They need to wake up and fix this situation once and for all.

If casino do allow you to sign up to sister sites than there shoud be a fine, they will soon stop it
