  1. Saw Steve Hackett last night...again

    Yep, the former guitarist for early Genesis - and excellent solo careerist played again in Aschaffenburg. 6ks from my house.

    I had a little handy dandy video recorder and posted a couple of videos at Youtube. It may seem that the audience was not into it, but these are Germans. It was nothing but fans - and Steve Hackett is amazing as ever.

    I saw him during Genesis' "Wind and Wuthering" and "trick of the Tale" tours in the last 70s. He's aged about ten years since then. ...

    The crew is safe, but it's such a shame for the boat - it's an absolutely gorgeous vessel - an old wooden purse seiner built in 1952. They don't make them like this anymore:

  5. Saw Steve Hackett last night...

    ...at the Colos Saal in Aschaffenburg.

    Wow - what a show! I saw him with Genesis during the Trick of the Tail Tour in 1976 (I think). It was great seeing him live again and noting that he hasn't missed a beat since, he's still an amazing guitarist.

    His touring band was damn good too. Bassist Nick Beggs complemented the act with his impressive bass riffs and his Chapman Stick (Virtual Stick) performance.
