Dear ~B,

There is a very serious flaw in the new message feeature of this forum, and I regret not having pointed this out to you sooner, as many members here just assume the forum is not getting new messages, or that it is very slow, and this simply isn't the case.

The flaw is as follows.
Try to view messages from:
LAST 1 DAY
LAST 3 DAYS
LAST 7 DAYS

You'll notce there's NO NEW MESSAGES in Casino Industry Discussion, Online Casino Promos, and Ads, and Wild Cards.

Then view LAST 8 DAYS. All of a sudden ---
OUT OF NOWHERE -- New messages popup from the 3 above forums, and these new messages are VERY NEW -- 6/19, 6/20, and 6/21. WOW. A Lot newer than 8 days old.

Members here are simply MISSING OUT ON THE DISCUSSION due to this flaw. Now wonder things haven't been as active lately here as they usually are.

For a while, I thought the problem was my fault, and was do to my profile here. But ALAS -- I have discovered after exhaustive trial and error, that my profile had nothing to do with this. When doing a SEARCH, I can always make sure that it IS SET TO VIEW ALL TOPICS rather than favorites. In fact, whether I set my profiles to check of all favorites, or I turn favorites off completely and view all topics - I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM VIEWING THE ABOVE DISCUSSIONS (unless I actually enter the TOPIC itself without using the new message function or SEARCH function). Please note that my profile is not set to email me messages from any forum.

OK -- As part of my trial, I logged out completely, and used the SEARCH function WITHOUT BEING LOGGED IN AT ALL. The same thing happened:
LAST 1 DAY
LAST 3 DAYS
LAST 7 DAYS

NO new messages in the above discussions!
Set it back to 8 days, and those messages once again appear.

So in, conclusion, this problem with your message boards is affecting everyone (not just me), and once its fixed -- I assume this place will be a lot more lively again!

Casinomeister is the best forum on the net -- and I want to see it stay that way!!

Hi Dave!

Thanks for the heads up! Im currently vacationing in Tenerife and will not be back to carry out any serious maintenence until next weekend. Hopefully then I can do enough trouble shooting and support inqueries to fix this problem.

Bryan

Bryan,
You're a nut! Mr. Vacation of the new millenium. lol When you're gone I think some of us feel like lambs to slaughter or at least a moth to a flame. Anyway, when you DO get back will you please address this screwy issue with Virtual Casinos and all these NOT look alikes that end up dumping us into the Virtual site? That's just WEIRD<,
Thanks, Lori

Hey Dave,

Again, thanks for the heads up. Problem fixed (I believe). I needed to regenerate some "mini-pages" that weren't done in the upgrade. Give it a try yourself and let me know if you have anymore problems.

Your quite welcome, Bryan! :)

Just tested it and all is OK so far as I can tell.

The upgrade is significant. Not only is the forum more user friendly, but it is much
easier to customize to ones personal preferences.

Also to add to this good news, I just had a casino make an accounting error of $140 in my favor, and sent it to Paypal. They sent me a letter admitting thier error, but have decided to let me keep the $$$. Doesn't happen often, if at all, so I decided to make another $100 deposit there, and won another $240.

Nope. Actually it was an MGS operation that uses Proc Cyber. If they pay me my $340 from this cashout, I will be happy to name them. :)

Anyway, I hope you will recondsider hosting the OPA Dispute Resolution forum here at Casinomeister.

After all, the new OPA has nothing whatsoever to do with the old OPA -- they are two totally different orginizations, although the brand name stays the same.

The new OPA has been extremely successful over nthe past several months, but one of the drawbacks is that member disputes are no longer made public. This needs to change.

Hi Dave,

Actually, if you go to
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
and click "pending disputes" on the left hand navigational column, you'll get a rundown of what is going on.
