I am typing this to advise you in the strongest possible terms to AVOID this Merkur affiliate programme like the clap. They are the programme which deal with Cashino casino.

I won't bore you with the full exchanges between myself and them but a rough synopsis:

I didn't promote them until April and earned a few quid in respect of April. I was linked up by Skype to their rep who seemed OK.

Come 20th. May by which when most programmes have paid, zilch.

I go on Skype and was told I was e-mailed promptly at the start of May, the 2nd. to be precise, to submit an invoice. (they don't self-generate and pay automatically like most programmes do). I never received such an e-mail, total BS. So in the end I made an invoice and submitted it to her via Skype. 2 hours later, rejected because they can only accept PDF, no Excel. WHY didn't she tell me that? Laptop almost launched, but I did one on PDF and submitted it, accepted. I eventually got paid 11 days later.

So, come June, this month, they owe me a decent sum from May's commission.

I waited for this mythical invoice they allegedly send to affiliates. Zilch. I go on Skype and get told "We have to check for chargebacks and confirm the amount blah blah...." and eventually she lets me submit the invoice on June 13 with a standard 7-10 working days processing time. This means I cannot get my money due until at least the 22-26th. which is FAR later than 95% of programmes but within their terms of within 30 days of the following month.

Invoice REJECTED! Why? I used the same one as was accepted the first time but simply changed date, ref number and amount. Apparently despite it being dated June, I hadn't specified "For commission in respect of May 2017", something that was not necessary on the previous one - what was it for then, a pizza they'd ordered from me? So I redid the bloody thing and finally got it in.

Roll on to today and chasing up the money still unforthcoming. Blag after bullshit blag. "Merkur are a big company employing 5000 people" And? Is that an excuse? I'd have thought that in that case they would be far more efficient and organized. "Every organization has its bureaucratic processes." WTF??

Two weeks have passed since the 13th. and no payment, far in excess of the alleged 7-10 days for processing. This programme is clearly not being run by Germans but is possibly subbed out to Israel or Cyprus, it doesn't feel like I'm dealing with Germans.

I would advise you to tread VERY carefully with this Merkur programme. It's chaotic, disorganized and slow and that's being the kindest I can manage. In truth I simply have no faith or trust in it. It is not streamlined and easy like you may be used to with other ones. If you do get paid it'll be far later than you experience with your other ones.

I have chased this up on Skype again for the last 2 days pointing out payment has not been received in the promised 7-10 days + transit. I'm getting talk-to-the-hand now, ignored. The last communication was Monday 26th. this week, where she promised to "ask the relevant team about my payment owing". Again zilch. Nada. This being the same team that funnily enough can reject an invoice in minutes.

So, beware the Merkur Affiliate Programme. It's a shambles and not worth the stress IMO. I even said to their Rep that I wish I hadn't earned anything in June because now I'm going to have to go through this in July again! Response? "It's better to earn something that may be paid or late, than nothing."

Really, it isn't.

It's better to earn something that may be paid or late, than nothing."

That did it for me...At this stage I probably would have told them to shove the commissions carried over to the next month up their arses...
I can imagine how annoyed you must have been on numerous of occasions.

You may not be aware of this but Germans still use fax machines and love taking holidays - no working weekends either, so two weeks may be the norm.

Just sayin'.

Well it's gone downhill since I lived there for 3 years. Mind you it was a long time back, so maybe the sloth of the E-USSR has taken effect by now. :what:

I generated my invoice 7/7/17 and still today have not received a penny.

I was speaking to some guy on Skype who was supposedly the affiliate manager when I signed up asking him things about paid traffic, keywords for ads and all that sort of stuff and he literally had no idea what I was talking about.

Seems like it's run by a bunch of muppets in my opinion.

They DO pay but very late in the month, I get it literally on the 29/30/31st after submitting the invoice around the 10th - they don't take it earlier due to chargebacks and time to work out what they owe you. If you don't submit it in pdf form it'll be ignored or rejected too. If you don't have the period you're claiming for, correct amount etc. they'll reject it, it has to be spot on.

I did it on their affiliate panel and just pressed 'generate payment invoices' and went from there?

Regardless, I read it wrong, they claim to have PAID ME on the 7/7/17. Turns out I submitted it on the 1/6/17 and just went through my bank statement to double check and nope, they haven't paid me.

Nope, you don't do it through the account like you do some programmes you need to send a pdf invoice - they request this by e-mail usually around the 8-12th. That's why you haven't been paid, and won't be until you do. Do it on Skype via your aff manager if you can. I was speaking to my aff manager and her boss in Amsterdam and he admitted their system is not good compared to most.

Never had an email from them. Just spoke to him on Skype and sorted it. What a roundabout way of doing it ay.

That's BS I'm not VAT registered and the UK Laws have no requirement for me to be until a certain threshold is reached, I told them that and I've been paid in May, June and July OK.

I said you need to earn over £85,000 before you need to be VAT registered. He said he will "try and convince" the people in Malta NEXT WEEK that this is the case. It's a shambles.

I have had some issues with Cashino too. Never filled in so many forms in my life haha.

Rob :)

It's a bloody nightmare - luckily I had a big winner this month so won't have to go through this rigmarole again shortly.....:D

Just a small update, everything was received as expected. Thomas Beier who was helping with this was as helpful as he could have been. He was constantly chasing the finance department.
So those who have things outstanding I wouldn't worry too much.

Yes, he's OK I met him in Amsterdam and he accepted their affiliate system was in need of improvements.
