Verdict
Big Time Gaming has been doing quite well winning the members over with some very original games. There are loads of threads in our forum detailing our member’s experiences. Even this past year, Dunover conducted his “Best Games of the Year 2017” and Bonanza and Danger High Voltage won 1st and 2nd place.
Their CEO is a regular contributor to the forum, and I think that BTG is well connected to what players wont, so we can only expect to see some pretty mind boggling slots.
I just wish they were as dedicated to video poker as they are to slots.

Big Time Gaming entered the scene in 2011 and started by making subsidiary Games for some of the more prominent providers, specifically for Microgaming’s Quickfire Platform.
Not much later, they started making quite a name for themselves: in the last couple of years, they have been sweeping the competition off their feet, enriching the slots market with one whopper of a Game after another. Calling them innovative is the least one can do; however, groundbreaking seems more fitting here.
Big Time Gaming was founded by three veterans from within the industry, with about 30 years of combined experience attached to their names. Although we doubt either of them had anything to do with the graphics department (as that’s not their strong point). Still, the mechanics, sound effects, and potential rewards in place are a testament to the fact they have a perfect sense of whatever it is that players are looking for nowadays.
Big Time Gaming slots have changed the face of online gambling forever – and while they’re now up against heightened competition from the likes of Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, and Pragmatic Play – their slot games continue to represent some of the world’s most popular.

Like many Megaways slots from Big Time Gaming today, Apollo Pays has a Win Exchange feature. If you win 100X your bet during the base game or more, you can exchange your win for direct entry to the free spins bonus round. There’s also a re-spin mechanic; whenever a win lands, the winning symbols lock in place, and all other positions re-spin.
If two or more identical symbols land on the re-spin, they are also locked in place – and this re-spin process continues until you fail to land new wins. Scatter symbols lock-in, which can help trigger the main bonus features.
Landing three scatter symbols in view triggers the free spins bonus round, which awards you ten free spins. Outlaw
The third and final part of Big Time Gaming’s “The Cult” trilogy has officially made its way to online casinos, called Outlaw. The bonus round is triggered by landing three or more scatter symbols anywhere in view during the base game. An enhanced bonus round is also triggered by landing a scatter on the last reel. Once the bonus round is activated, you then choose which game bonus you’d like to play.
The first is called the Fallen Angel free spins. One of the low-value symbols, 9, 10, J, Q, K, or A, will be chosen as the special sticky wild symbol. Any time this special symbol lands in view during the seven free spins you’re awarded, it transforms into a wild and locks that place for the duration of the bonus round. If sticky wilds can completely cover a reel, three more free spins are awarded.
The second bonus round in the slot game is the “Dizzy in the Head” free spins feature. This bonus awards you eight free spins, and if you land 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols during the bonus, you will get 4, 6, or 8 more free spins, accordingly. Again, a wild ladder multiplier, which might randomly show up to 77X on each spin, will be applied to any wins it forms a part of – again, a similar mechanic to what we saw in BTG’s Danger High Voltage slot game.
Two sticky symbols will be chosen if you land the enhanced bonus round and choose the Fallen Angel free spins. For example, if you select the “Dizzy in the Head” bonus, the multiplier ladder can reach up to 777X!
MAX Megaways
MAX Megaways is one of the latest slot games from Big Time Gaming’s development studios, and this six-reel, 117,649-ways-to-win slot machine has an espionage theme. There are four random game bonuses – including cascades. Additionally, a pretty cool free spins bonus round allows you to select up to three modifiers randomly.
The RTP for Max Megaways is 96.37%, which is higher than the industry standard of 96%. Despite the high level of volatility, big wins appear to be rare – and the hit frequency is 38.07%. However, there’s a big max win – the highest of BTG slot games we’ve seen – a whopping 139,100X your stake!
There are an impressive ten bonuses and features in the Max Megaways slot. Free spins and improved free spins with different Power-Ups, such as double multipliers, duplicating wilds, greater Megaways, no low-value symbols, and simpler retriggers, are two of the four random basic game features. Additionally, there is the Win Exchange, where you may gamble base game winnings for a chance to trigger the main bonus round. Below, we’ll look at some of the other bonuses and features.
Every successful combo activates the cascades feature. New symbols are put on the reels to replace the winning ones. The remaining characters enter the open spaces when the former winning symbols explode. As old symbols are removed, new ones take their place. This process can go on forever. Megaways
When Big Time Gaming first released its Megaways mechanic, it changed the face of the online gambling world forever. It was such a fresh, new concept – many competitors struggled to keep up, and before long, Big Time Gaming ended up licensing out the technology so that other game developers could use it in their games! So, what is the Megaways mechanic?
Bonanza is an excellent example of the most common Megaways slots you’ll find – and the game has six reels. So, every spin you play can have various symbols on each reel – between two and seven.
This means that, on each spin, the number of symbols is different – and, as a “ways-to-win” slot, this also means that the number of “pay lines” changes on every spin. In a “ways-to-win” video slot like Bonanza, there aren’t fixed paylines; you simply need to land three (or two of the top-paying) or more symbols on adjacent reels from left to right; their positioning on the reels doesn’t matter; and provided they line up from left-to-right, a win is formed.
However, with the number of rows varying on each spin, so does the number of ways – and, if you manage a spin with the maximum number of symbols appearing on every reel, you’ll unlock the whole 117,649-ways-to-win Megaways mechanic – during which it’s possible to form some huge wins, as most of the slot’s symbols are stacked.
Since the release of Bonanza, Big Time Gaming has mixed things up a bit with some of their Megaways games – but the general premise remains the same, and it continues to be one of the most popular – and successful – mechanics in the online world of video slots. Big Time Gaming’s impact on online slot games cannot be understated; it’s truly impressive.
One Complaint – Albeit In The Past
One would think it’s all ‘happy-go-lucky here,’ but Big Time Gaming had quite an episode of bad press here back in 2016 when they first appeared, and CM found out the following;
One of our new-ish members was posting Big Win screenshots in the forum and ‘softly’ promoting BTG Games here and there, and some of those screens were entered in a Screenshot Contest held by the BTG Gaming Representative, where they would have won a top prize.
Upon closer inspection, that member and the BTG Rep just happened to have been using the same PC – you may think of that what you will, but feel free to read more about it here – which proves the member was a shill account. In light of the screenshot used, there appeared to be malpractice planned to keep the bulk of prize money ‘in the family.’
In short, it was blamed on an overzealous junior employee, which was the end. Still, it sure made a dent in the general membership’s trust, and the issue does get quoted now and then, most notably right after people lost their shirts in a brutal session on Bonanza!
