4ThePlayer boosts gaming with focus on user experience
4ThePlayer is one of the newer developers of casino games to enter the online gambling world. While their casino games haven’t caught on quite as they perhaps wanted, they’ve done pretty well quickly. They’ve partnered with major game developers like Relax Gaming, and their slots offer engaging game mechanics, exciting games within a bonus game, and the chance for players to win big cash prizes.
The company is the brainchild of Andrew Porter and Chris Ash. Both seasoned online gambling ‘veterans,’ Chris Ash was the “Ash” behind Ash Gaming – a successful UK-based iGaming company that Playtech eventually acquired.
Andrew also worked at Ash Gaming as Head of Product and Math before becoming Casino Content Director for Playtech. Soon after its creation, Henry McLean joined the team and worked at Ash Gaming, running the marketing department.
While 4ThePlayer was only established in 2018, they’ve built significant “hype” around their games. By interacting with the Casinomeister community, they’ve shown they’re responsive to players – which is critical, especially in today’s fast-paced and competitive iGaming industry, where new developers always appear.

9K Yeti – Available Via Relax Gaming
9K Yeti is 4ThePlayer’s debut slot, built around a 4096-ways-to-win format. The game’s set on Mount Everest and was heavily marketed around its high variance nature. Players can win up to 9,000X their bet – and, as the game developer is keen to point out, interestingly, Mount Everest is also 9,000 meters high!
There’s plenty to look forward to in the game, and the main bonus round is a traditional free-spins round – with an untraditional mechanic. Triggered by landing the scatter symbols anywhere in view, players can begin the bonus with up to 88 free spins.
It’s also possible to re-trigger the feature, with a whopping 880 spins up for grabs. (It’s a shame you don’t start with nine thousand spins!) During the free spins bonus, any losing spin that contains the top-paying Yeti and Everest symbol will trigger the “snowstorm” feature. This shuffles the game’s symbols around to form a guaranteed win. The more Yeti symbols in view, the better – and it’s fair to say this is where the game’s main win potential can be found.
However, the base game is also more than capable of producing big wins. Like other games, like 5 Doggy Dollars, you don’t have to hit the bonus funds bonus game – and we’ve seen players winning thousands of times their bet in the base game courtesy of the Yeti symbols!
1 Left Alive – Available At Most Online Casinos
1 Left Alive was 4ThePlayer’s third release, and it’s a video slot based around zombies. The game offers an RTP of 97% and follows a vibrant, strong-willed female character – the Lone Survivor.
The game utilizes a brand-new game mechanic called “Plus+Ways.” This allows for added wilds, stacked wilds, and a more action-packed bonus round than conventional slots.
The main bonus round in 1 Left Alive is a free spins bonus. Once activated, you can choose one of four zombies. The zombie you pick becomes a special wild during the bonus – and if you land the Lone Survivor symbol in view, your chosen zombie will turn into a “Bloody Wild,” which then slides down the reels, leaving additional wilds in its tracks. The slot is highly volatile, boasting an RTP of 96.47%. One of the game’s main attractions is the Rewind Time Win Spins feature, which guarantees at least five wins when triggered. To activate this feature, you must land three Scatters on reels one, three, and five.
You will then be prompted to click one of the scatter symbols. Doing so will reveal the number of free spins you’ll receive: five, seven, or ten. The ten spins before you triggered the bonus are then “re-wound,” letting you re-play your old wins. Ideally, you want to trigger the bonus round after you’ve hit a colossal base game win.
Regarding betting, you can wager as low as $0.10 and as high as $20 per spin. The game pays from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. The low-paying symbols require at least a three-of-a-kind to land payouts, while the high-value symbols pay even for two of a kind. Like most of the game developer’s casino games, the max win is high – thousands of times your bet – and the bonus features are where most win potential is found.
King Kong In Vegas
In our old 4ThePlayer review, we wrote, “An exciting new slot game release from 4ThePlayer is on the horizon – get ready to join King Kong in Las Vegas with the upcoming launch of “King Kong in Vegas” on October 27th! This game provides huge payout potential as a high-volatility online slot with 1024 ways to win. The maximum possible win is a monster 9,216X your bet amount!”
While the game wasn’t the huge hit we’d expected, it was still a popular release. It was particularly popular with low-rollers as the minimum bet is just $0.10. The maximum bet was also very healthy, with high-rollers able to wager up to $100 per spin!
The game’s main highlight was the new Big Win Repeater mechanic, which allows you to re-trigger and repeat your biggest wins from a single spin whenever you land a big win. Each repeat also boosts King Kong higher up the Empire State Building, giving you an additional chance to hit the same epic win again!
The gameplay gets even more exciting during the free spins round. Landing three or more scatters triggers the bonus, activating the Highest Win Repeater feature. Now, you can continue landing your highest win from the free spins game, not just from an individual spin! Plus, when you run out of free spins, a wheel of fortune-esque wheel spin gives you a chance to win more free spins.
There is also one of the game developer’s unique bonus features in the game – Xtra Bet. When toggled on, it increases your chance of hitting free spins by 150% – although, naturally, there’s a cost. However, you’ll want it on to unlock the game’s highest RTP. Plus, if you have the Xtra Bet active, you’ll get extra spins on the bonus wheels after the main free spins bonus.
6 Tokens of Gold
6 Tokens of Gold is a vibrant, engaging video slot combining classic fruit symbols with modern features. The game offers a 5×3 reel layout with 25 fixed paylines, and the overall design harkens back to traditional fruit machines but with a fresh twist.

Please note, while the game often looks like Yggdrasil Gaming made it, this is simply the gaming platform 4ThePlayer chose to release it on. It was released on the 23rd of March, 2023, and the software provider calls it a medium-to-high variance game.
The slot is built around a five-reel, three-row format with 243-ways-to-win. This Irish-themed game has an RTP between 94% and 96%, and betting options range from $0.10 to $30 per spin.
The max win is excellent – you can win up to 5,500X your bet – and your best chance of scooping this is during the bonus round. To trigger the main bonus feature, you must land scatters on the five reels to climb the Leprechaun Trail. The number of scatters that land determines how high up the trail you’ll start, with the top position awarding the max win of 5,500X.

Pros and Cons

In our opinion, one of the biggest perks of their games is the abundance of innovative features. 4ThePlayer’s games are packed with unique features like the Slot Slider mechanic, the Dual-Spin feature, and the HyperHold respin – and all of these innovations keep you engaged and provide something a bit different.
In our opinion, another major “plus point” of the game developer’s slots is their mobile-friendly design. With features like Big Reel Portrait Mode, 4ThePlayer ensures that mobile players have an optimal gaming experience. Their games are designed to accommodate vertical screen orientation, providing visually appealing and convenient gameplay on mobile devices.
Moreover, many of 4ThePlayer’s games offer above-average RTP percentages – and it’s not uncommon to see 96%+, which is becoming increasingly rare in today’s online gambling market.
However, there are a few things we think 4ThePlayer could improve. For example, some of their games can be pretty complex – especially for new players. While innovative features are exciting for experienced gamblers, those new to online gambling may find them intimidating or hard to understand.
Moreover, while 4ThePlayer offers high-quality games, their portfolio is still pretty limited compared to other major industry players. We feel this limited selection hurts the software provider, and we’d love to see them pushing games more frequently.
