When Ruby Fortune first launched back in 2003, they were listed here as a Casinomeister Accredited casino. They were pretty awesome back in the day, but after being shuffled around between several marketing companies, they became just another Microgaming drone.
With new management, they dropped out of the forum and ignored most player comments or issues. So they were unfortunately removed from our Accredited and Highly Recommended list.
But saying that, they are properly licensed, have a pretty clean record of player complaints, and we would recommend them as a safe place to play at.

When we started writing this review, we noticed Ruby Fortune likes to call themselves “Canada’s Best” – and while that remains up for debate, Ruby Fortune clearly does a good job on the whole.
Their site is modern, easy-to-use, and the user interface is user-friendly, and they are well-licensed and have been around for almost two decades! The online casino aims to process withdrawals within 48 hours; during this time, it’s possible to reverse/cancel your withdrawal. We don’t like how there isn’t a withdrawal lock function available.
Once Ruby Fortune has processed your withdrawal, it can take a few minutes to a few working days for you to receive it. This time frame depends on which of the withdrawal methods you chose to use.

The first thing we saw when we opened up the responsible gambling page at Ruby Fortune Casino was this:

Unfortunately, at the bottom of the page, they mention you need to contact the customer support team directly to implement these limits – and this is something we really don’t like. We feel that it’s vital players can set their own limits and request a time-out or take self-exclusion when they feel it appropriate – so how committed to responsible gambling Ruby Fortune really remains to be seen.
Customer support
To finish off our Ruby Fortune Casino review, we wanted to look at what kind of customer support facilities they offered to their players. It wasn’t immediately clear, but we later learned that Ruby Fortune Casino’s customer support team works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you’re able to get in touch with the team no matter what time of day you’re playing.
Before contacting the customer support team, however, they recommend you browse their comprehensive FAQ section. Personally, we wouldn’t say it’s comprehensive – but it does answer a few of the most common questions and is a good starting point.
If you’re unable to find the answers you need there, you can reach out to the customer support team directly through live chat, email or phone. Live chat is our recommended way of getting in touch with the customer support team as it connects you with an operator immediately. You can access the live chat function by clicking the dropdown menu found at the top of the right-hand side of the screen. You will then be connected to a customer support team agent within a minute or two. While writing this review, we found the customer support team to be helpful, friendly and professional.
As mentioned, you can also reach the customer support team via email and phone; a phone is a good option for those unable to use the live chat feature, but we’d recommend against email, as you may find yourself waiting up to 24 hours to receive a response.
KYC
While Ruby Fortune Casino doesn’t discuss their KYC procedure in too much depth, they do state this on their terms and conditions page:
“We have the right to request you to furnish us with proof of your identity and age as a condition precedent to us allowing you to participate at the Casino. All information supplied when registering with the Website must be accurate and complete in all respects.”
This is in line with the regulation set out by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority, as both online gambling regulators require their licensees to carry our player-verification – usually after making deposits and withdrawals worth more than $2,000. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find any information about how long it takes Ruby Fortune to process your documents.

Table Games and Video Poker
Ruby Fortune Casino offers a selection of other card games, video poker machines so, when you play at the site, you’ll find everything from Hi-Lo 13, European Blackjack, Poker, Craps and 3 Card Poker, to Scratch Cards, other card games and Sic Bo.
When it comes to the video poker games available, Ruby Fortune Casino boasts a fairly decent selection, including Aces & Eights, Tens or Better, Bonus Poker, Jacks or Better and Deuces & Joker Poker. It’s not the largest selection of video poker games we’ve ever seen. Still, it’s decent enough – especially at a time when many online casinos are choosing to offer very few video poker machines at all.
We should point out, however, that the selection of video poker games appears to have been last updated quite a while ago – and this is likely because they’re all from Microgaming; you won’t find titles from other software providers.
Progressive jackpots
When it comes to progressive jackpot video slots, Ruby Fortune Casino offers quite a decent selection of games – although you should bear in mind they’re all Microgaming-powered.
Thankfully, most of the top progressive jackpot games are from Microgaming – and when you play at Ruby Fortune Casino, you’ll find titles including Mega Moolah and Major Millions.
Mega Moolah is arguably the most popular progressive jackpot slot ever made, and it holds the current World Record for the biggest slot machine win in history – over $20 million! Plus, Ruby Fortune proudly states that one of the other casinos on their platform had a player who won a $14 million jackpot on the game – so this shows it really is possible to win from them!
There’s a decent selection of progressive jackpot slots to choose from, and, like the rest of the casino’s games, they’re all available to play in instant play mode.
About the Team and History
Ruby Fortune Casino was first launched back in 2003, and the site is part of the Palace Group Brand. In terms of ownership, the casino, Ruby Fortune, is owned and operated by Baytree Limited – a Maltese-based company that hold online gambling licenses from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
Alongside their strong licensing and regulation, Ruby Fortune Casino is also certified by eCOGRA – an independent body that tests games and ensures that players play fair, truly random games. These are some strong selling points for the casino. Ruby Fortune has, from the get-go, been a Microgaming-powered casino, and it was only when Microgaming dropped their live dealer casino that the site started working with Evolution Gaming to provide players with a selection of live dealer games.
To get a little more complicated, Ruby Fortune is now part of Buffalo Partners – previously Wagershare. Buffalo is the result of the merger of Wagershare, Fortune Affiliates and Referback, and it’s the casino is directly connected to Betway (despite the owners denying this!)
It’s a little murky. The transparency behind the business isn’t the best – but they appear to be a relatively trustworthy brand and have managed to amass a decent player-base in the near two decades they’ve been in operation for.
Complaints and Track Record
A glance at the Casinomeister forum shows quite mixed reactions when it comes to Ruby Fortune. Many of our players praise the casino for their bonuses, while others raise complaints about winnings not being paid out.
Ruby Fortune has generated six formal complaints via our Player Arbitration service (PAB) since 2017. The two latest were “speak to the hand” since they don’t want to deal with our free service for players due to some misguided business decisions on their part. If players have complaints, they will need to go to eCOGRA to have these resolved.
