Prism Casino Review
A Crypto-Friendly Casino From The Ominous Virtual Casino Group
Casinomeister's Verdict
Avoid this casino at all costs. If you want to play RTG casinos, there are plenty in our Accredited Casino Section.
First Impression
At first glance, Prism Casino looks like an average online casino, with a decent selection of slots and table games powered by Realtime Gaming. However, upon closer inspection, several red flags from the casino’s past – and its parent company, Virtual Casino Group.
While the 450% welcome bonus seems generous, the strict terms and conditions and low maximum cashout greatly reduce its appeal. Ongoing promotions like the comp points scheme and cashback program feature similar terms, and, for most players, it’s simply not worth claiming the bonuses here.
Regarding payment methods, banking options are limited to cryptocurrencies, although the site still mentions fiat-based payment methods in places. Unfortunately, Prism Casino only allows you to withdraw $2,000 per week. They also charge a 5% fee on any withdrawal, which is, quite frankly, insane, in our opinion.
There is also a significant issue with the lack of responsible gambling tools. Prism Casino lacks even the most basic of responsible gambling pages, which is inexcusable in this day and age.
While Prism Casino promises to have changed its ways after years of mistreating players, it has a lot of work to do before it fully regains the trust of Casinomeister and the online gambling community as a whole. This Prism Casino review aims to give you an impartial, honest look at the casino today.

BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS
A significant part of writing this Prism Casino review was examining the bonuses and promotions available. While the main welcome bonus was the first thing we looked at, we also looked at other promos running at the casino, from free chips offers to mobile casino-specific bonuses. However, it doesn’t take long to see that the bonuses have high wagering requirements, low maximum cashouts, and many game restrictions – something we’re used to seeing at Virtual Casino Group sites, unfortunately.
In this section, we’ll look at the main welcome bonus, regular bonuses Prism offers – including the Weekly and Monthly Cashback offers – the site’s Comp Points loyalty scheme and more. Let’s begin by examining the main deposit bonus available to new players.
Welcome Offer / Deposit Bonus
New players at Prism Casino can take advantage of a 450% matched deposit bonus of up to $4,500. To claim this bonus, enter the code 450PRISM when making your first deposit. Now, as far as deposit bonuses go, it sounds pretty good at first, right? Well, let’s look closer and see whether it lives up to its name.
Firstly, let’s look at the wagering requirements; the 450% matched deposit bonus comes with wagering requirements of 40X, which, to be fair, aren’t too bad. However, the wagering requirements are only 40X if you play Slots, Keno, Bingo, or Scratch Card Games. If you play casino table games or video poker, the wagering requirements increase to 60X. Still, that’s not the worst in the world.
Unfortunately, things become a lot less promising when you read a little deeper into the terms and conditions. While writing this Prism Casino review, we found – like at many Virtual Casino Group online casinos – you are limited to withdrawing just 10X the total bonus you claim. Here at Casinomeister, we always dislike maximum cashout limits on deposit bonuses. We feel when you’re depositing your own money, you shouldn’t be capped on how much you can win.
Prism Casino also states that once the wagering requirements are complete, the total bonus amount will be removed from your balance when you request a withdrawal. While this isn’t particularly uncommon at Realtime Gaming (RTG) casinos, it’s not great when combined with a max cashout limit of just 10X.
So, what’s the welcome bonus verdict? While a 450% match sounds impressive, the terms and conditions are strict, and the 10X max cashout limit, in our opinion, makes it pretty much pointless. You must complete wagering requirements of 40X or 60X just to try and win 10X your deposit.
Unless you only plan on playing video slots at lower stakes, we would lean towards advising against claiming this bonus, as it just doesn’t seem worth it, in our opinion.
Prism Casino offers new players a $30 no-deposit free chip, automatically credited to your account upon registration. While this offer might initially seem appealing, it comes with stringent terms and conditions. The wagering requirements are high at 40X or 60X, depending on the type of game you choose to play. That may not sound too bad as far as no-deposit bonuses go, but wait:
The no-deposit bonus limits you to a maximum withdrawal of just 1X the bonus amount. In other words, you cannot withdraw more than $30 from the bonus. While it’s still something for nothing, in our opinion, this negates any real winning potential. It’s a novelty – but not one that serious gamblers are likely to find enticing.
Comp Points Scheme
Beyond the welcome bonus, Prism Casino aims to retain players through various ongoing promotions, including a Comp Points program. However, similar to the no-deposit bonus, this Comp Points scheme has its limiting conditions. First, Comp Points can only be earned on certain unspecified games. When writing this Prism Casino review, the terms and conditions page failed to load. This is not the first time we have encountered this problem at Virtual Casino Group sites.
Secondly, even once you have accumulated a decent number of Comp Points, you have to wager the exchanged funds: 40X if you’re playing slots or keno and 60X for all other allowed games. While we don’t necessarily advocate for wager-free Comp Points cash, we’re used to seeing wagering requirements in the region of 5-15X; 40X to 60X is far too high, in our opinion.
Now, to our amazement, there’s an even more disappointing term; the maximum cashout from Comp Points bonuses and features is one times the value of your Comp Points bonus. For instance, if you accumulate $100 in Comp Points, you can only withdraw $100, entirely and utterly defeating the purpose of a rewards scheme. We were – genuinely – shocked when we wrote this Prism Casino review, as this is such a strange, disadvantageous rule – we can see no benefit of even bothering with them!
However, there are even more terms: you’re unable to redeem Comp Points if your account balance exceeds $0 or if you have pending withdrawals, so, again, we’re failing to see a single appealing aspect of this loyalty program; if you’re looking for a rewarding Comp Points scheme, you’ll find better options at virtually any other Realtime Gaming casino!

Monthly & Weekly Cashback
Prism Casino’s Weekly and Monthly Cashback offers may look enticing, but, as you’ll realize at Virtual Casino Group sites, the devil is always in the details. First off, the Weekly Cashback has wagering requirements set at 40X or 60X, which makes it challenging to turn that cashback into actual money you can withdraw. If you complete the wagering requirements, you’re still restricted by a 2X maximum withdrawal limit. So, if your cashback is $100, you can only withdraw $200. And, once again, you can’t claim cashback if you have any recent withdrawals.
Unfortunately, the Monthly Cashback doesn’t get any better. Despite having the same high wagering requirements, the maximum withdrawal decreases to just 1X the bonus amount. It’s an insane amount of work (wagering) just to try and double your money. And, from a math point of view, this is one of the most negative EV bonuses we’ve ever seen!
More standard terms also apply. To be eligible for either cashback offer, you must have deposited a minimum of $50 in the previous month. There are also several game restrictions, max bet limits, and other terms to be aware of, so always read the terms in full or ask the customer support team if you have any questions.
Banking & Payment Methods
Prism Casino is a crypto-only casino, and it supports multiple cryptocurrency options for deposits, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. When writing this Prism Casino review, we found the casino only accepts fiat-based payment methods despite still mentioning them on some of their older website pages.
Choosing which crypto is right for you is a personal decision, but Bitcoin is the most commonly used and allows for relatively quick transfers. However, don’t forget that transaction speeds can fluctuate due to network traffic. Ethereum often processes faster, thanks to its scalable technology, but these speeds can come with fluctuating fees, so there are a few factors to keep in mind.
Writing this Prism Casino Review, we also found they accept other coins like Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash, which offer decent transaction speeds but need more reliable networks. Dogecoin and Ripple are also on the list but are less commonly used and are more challenging to buy and sell.
The casino has a minimum deposit limit of $30 for all cryptocurrencies. While there’s no stated maximum deposit limit, we’d advise you to check with Prism Casino in advance if you’re planning on making a significant-sized deposit.
When we wrote this Prism Casino review, we were happy to find the online casino does not charge any deposit fees. However, you should be aware that you will pay a small network fee – although this is generally cheaper than you’d spend using conventional payment methods.
Prism Casino Withdrawal Speed
When withdrawing your winnings from Prism Casino, you’ll find that the options are the same as deposits. To withdraw, begin by navigating to the Cashier and selecting Withdrawal. You’ll be asked to enter your crypto wallet address. Ensure this is correct, as sending funds to the wrong address could result in lost money.
Once you submit your withdrawal request, Prism Casino states it will be processed within 24 hours. However, this is one area where Virtual Casino Group casinos have much ‘making up’ to do. In the past, all properties owned and operated by the Virtual Casino Group earned an awful reputation for delayed payments, slow payments – or unjust confiscation of funds – and while they claim to have changed their ways, we’ll be keeping a close eye on how things pan out.
However, some good news: Prism Casino told Casinomeister they’re now using an automated wallet called Coindraw that supposedly processes 89% of all withdrawal requests instantly, without the casino needing to be involved.
They told us: “Most Bitcoin-depositing players have the option of withdrawing using Coindraw. This function is fully automated, meaning our Withdrawals and Finance Departments are not involved. We’ve also employed Hooyu, a document validation service. With Hooyu, players simply upload their documents, and we are notified if the docs are acceptable or if further scrutiny is necessary. Between Coindraw and Hooyu, our Withdrawals and Finance teams are less overwhelmed, and as a result, payments have been consistent and far swifter.”
We’ll talk more about this in just a moment.
Fees and Limits
Unfortunately, unless you’re high up in the VIP program, you’ll find yourself pretty limited with the amount of money you can withdraw. The casino has a very low maximum weekly withdrawal limit of just $2,000. VIP players can request a higher limit, but even this isn’t guaranteed, so if you plan on playing at higher stakes, it probably isn’t a casino that will take your fancy.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you will need to verify your account before you can make a withdrawal. In the past, the casino used this as a stalling technique to avoid paying players their winnings. It’s one of the reasons why extremely slow payments were the most common criticism of the brand. Today, they have told us they are using automated document verification software, so, in many cases, your account verification can be completed instantly.
However, writing this Prism Casino review led us to one of the most bizarre withdrawal terms we have ever seen. The casino charges a 5% fee on every withdrawal you make, and they defend this by claiming it covers their third-party expenses. However, this is hard to believe as most crypto casinos today do not charge fees and work with third-party companies like Coindraw.
It may not sound like much, but 5% can add up over time. If this fee ends up being combined with prolonged payments, it’s unlikely the casino will ever recover from its tainted reputation, so we would like to see them changing this as soon as possible.
Depositing and Playing At Crypto Casinos: A Brief Guide
Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin provide a fast, secure way to gamble online, but if you’re new to using crypto, you may be wondering how to get started. Below, we’ll walk you through buying and depositing Bitcoin. This is not specific to Prism Casino.
First, you must open an account at a trusted crypto exchange platform. Popular options include Coinbase, Crypto.com, and Binance. Follow the sign-up process, verifying your identity by submitting a photo ID.
Once your exchange account is open, you can purchase coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin directly from the platform. Exchanges allow buying crypto with a debit card, bank transfer, or other payment methods. Once you’ve purchased your crypto, withdraw it from the exchange to your private crypto wallet for security. Wallets like Exodus and Atomic offer an easy way to store coins offline. You should avoid storing coins in an online wallet, as you don’t technically own them.
When you’re ready to begin playing casino games with Bitcoin, head to the online casino of your choice (in this case, Prism Casino), navigate to the Cashier, and select your preferred cryptocurrency as the deposit method. Some casinos will ask you to enter the rough dollar amount you’ll send.
You will then see a wallet address and QR code to send your coins. Go to your crypto wallet and send your coins to the address displayed. Make sure you’re meeting the casino’s required minimum deposit.
Once the casino receives your deposit transaction on the blockchain, the funds are automatically credited to your account. Some online casinos require just one confirmation, while others require as many as three. Once the funds are confirmed, the money will be in your online casino account, and you can begin playing all of your favorite casino games!
Responsible Gaming
Unfortunately, Prism Casino falls far short regarding responsible gambling and problem gambling protections. The site provides no visible responsible gambling resources, tools, or limits for players to take advantage of.
There is no responsible gambling page, no mention of deposit or wagering limits, and no clear self-exclusion option. The website contains no information on seeking help for gambling disorders or links to resources.
Prism also allows underage individuals to access the website and play free games with no age verification. Their terms state no age limit exists for free play, which poses an obvious problem. There is no valid reason for Prism Casino to lack a responsible gambling page; it’s simply not good enough in 2023, and if they want to be taken seriously by the online gambling community, they must do better in this area.
While Prism is an unregulated offshore operator with no obligation to provide responsible gambling features, this does not excuse the lack of basic options that all ethical sites should offer voluntarily. At a minimum, Prism Casino must offer an easy-to-use self-exclusion feature that players can control. In a perfect world, Prism Casino would also allow players to set deposit limits, wager limits, and, of course, a comprehensive list of links to external problem gambling resources.
For players’ well-being and integrity, Prism Casino has a responsibility to make responsible gambling a priority. The current absence of policies and safeguards is unacceptable. Prism Casino must take tangible steps to promote healthy gameplay and demonstrate it cares about more than just making a quick profit.
Customer Support
Prism Casino offers customer support through email and 24/7 live chat. Players can access live chat by clicking the icon on the website, which opens a chat window to connect with an agent in real-time.
Live chat provides quick answers to general questions about account issues, bonuses, banking, and more. However, some players report agents disappearing when asked about delayed withdrawals, which is concerning. We hope Prism Casino will address this moving forward.
If you prefer not to use live chat or find yourself unable to, you can also contact the online casino via email. Their customer support email is support@prismmails.com. Unfortunately, we don’t know how long the casino takes to respond to emails, but we will continue to monitor the forums to see what players say about the response times at Prism Casino.
In addition to live chat and email support, Prism Casino also has an FAQ page. This covers a range of topics, although much of the information appears outdated, with references to policies and features that no longer exist. You should be wary of relying solely on the FAQ for accurate help.
Overall, Prism Casino customer support seems reasonable, and, as noted earlier, we’ve received assurance from their rep that the group is actively working to implement better customer support facilities. For now, issues remain that need to be addressed, but we hope to see positive changes in this area.
KYC
According to Prism Casino, players must verify their account before a withdrawal can be processed. Their terms and conditions state you must provide a copy of your Government-issued ID and proof of address. In the past, the group behind Prism Casino has been accused of using lengthy account verification checks to stall and delay payouts. However, a representative stated that improvements have been made:
“Most Bitcoin-depositing players have the option of withdrawing using Coindraw.
This implies that, where possible, KYC checks are now automated and handled externally by third parties. If true, this is a very positive change that could significantly speed up verifications and withdrawal times.
However, it remains to be seen whether these updates work as well in practice as claimed. The group behind Prism has a history of using KYC checks to delay payouts, so some skepticism remains warranted.
We advise verifying your account created before playing. This should prevent the casino from denying withdrawals for identity reasons later on. But given the past abuse of KYC policies, it’s understandable some players remain wary regarding verification checks at Prism Casino. If it’s true that automated KYC checks are now efficiently in place at Prism Casino, it would be a great start to their “rebirth.”
Website Experience and Features
Desktop Website & Usability
Prism Casino opts for a bold, vivid aesthetic with deep blues and purples contrasted by bright golden accents. The slightly futuristic-inspired visuals are eye-catching but may overwhelm some users. The site looks OK, but it doesn’t look like a new casino, and there is work to do, in our opinion.
The casino also can be pretty crowded, impacting the overall site functionality. For example, the main navigation menu tends to blend into the background, making essential site functions like the login and sign-up buttons a little less visible than they should be.
In the middle of the screen, you will find the games presented in a grid format, and while this is typical of an online casino, we can’t help but feel the grid is a little cluttered. While there are a couple of fundamental filter options available, there are no advanced features to help you narrow down the game range.
We should also point out that to play at the casino. You must click the instant play button at the top of your screen. Until you do, you won’t be inside the online casino. Alternatively, you can download the desktop client, details of which we will discuss shortly.
From a user experience standpoint, Prism Casino falls short when compared to most casinos, we feel. However, this isn’t anything new for a Realtime gaming site, and pretty much all RTG casinos are known for slightly older, less-modern graphics and interfaces.
Mobile Casino
Prism Casino offers mobile access through a dedicated mobile-optimized website rather than a downloadable app. The mobile site lets you access most of the site’s Blackjack games, video poker, and slots from your mobile device without needing to download or install an app on your mobile device.
The mobile interface is reasonably well-adapted to smaller screens. Navigation remains simple, although you can find the different game categories, making it generally easy to locate the games you want. Like the desktop site, the color scheme and style remain the same.
However, the mobile experience feels dated compared to a modern, mobile-optimized casino. The website lacks interactive elements or exciting visuals to engage mobile users, and it’s a stripped-down version of the desktop site without any special mobile features.
When we tested the games on the mobile version of Prism Casino, they appeared to run pretty well. However, you should be aware that the game catalog is more limited when compared to the desktop site or downloadable software client.
Downloadable Software Client at Prism Casino
Prism Casino offers a downloadable software client, which is becoming increasingly rare at modern online casinos. Realtime Gaming powers the software and is available to PC users only. The download process is straightforward: click the designated button, save the file to your computer, and follow the installation instructions.
The downloadable client used to have certain benefits but these are pretty much non-existent today. When casino games still ran on Flash, it allowed for quicker access to the games, which was a plus for those with slower internet connections. However, today, Prism Casino is available in an instant play format, so this benefit is largely negated.
Prism Casino claims their downloadable client is secure, with the latest encryption technology ensuring safe transactions. They also emphasize the integrity of their operation, stating that they work only with reputable partners for deposits and payouts. However, given the history of the Virtual Casino Group, caution is advised when taking these claims at face value.
Another feature of the downloadable client is the option for free play versions of all real money games. This is useful for players looking to practice or play without staking any of their own money.
So, while it’s nice to see that Prism Casino continues to offer a Realtime Gaming product, the benefits don’t justify the download, in our opinion.
Brand games
Providers
The game library at Prism Casino is powered exclusively by Realtime Gaming (RTG) software. There do appear to be a few SpinLogic games now available, but the casino itself is still RTG-powered. As one of the longest-running providers in the industry, RTG offers a sizable selection of classic and newer slots. However, Prism’s catalog is more limited than other Realtime Gaming casinos, and their non-slots selection of casino games is minimal.
You’ll find a decent assortment of RTG’s most popular slots and specialty games like European roulette and keno. But the table games and video poker options are pretty. In our opinion, Prism Casino – like many Virtual Casino Group properties – caters more to casual slot players than serious gamblers.
Slots
Prism Casino offers a decent selection of RTG slots, and while the catalog may not be as extensive as other RTG casinos, you’ll still find all the provider’s most popular titles. Let’s look at some of the top slots featured at Prism.
Cash Bandits is a 25-payline crime-themed slot featuring a crew of masked bandits pulling off big heists. Look for vault symbols to unlock the free spins round, where all wins are doubled. With an RTP of 95.75%, medium volatility, and potential for big payouts, this sequel remains a fan favorite and is one of the game developer’s most successful releases.
I, Zombie is an entertaining 30-payline slot with a unique zombie theme. Brain scatters trigger up to 50 free spins with expanding wilds for colossal win potential. The 95.93% RTP and medium variance provide a great blend of entertainment and solid payouts, and if you’re looking for something slightly spooky – it’s well worth playing!
Plentiful Treasure is another popular slot that takes you on a fortune-filled adventure in ancient China. This 30-payline slot has beautiful graphics, wilds, and a free spins round where any wins you form are multiplied by 3X. There are also four progressive jackpots, although the RTP is a little low, 94.95%.
Dr. Winmore sends you inside a mad scientist’s lab across 20 paylines. This cartoonish game features strange animations, expanding sticky wilds, and a free spins bonus round. If you manage to land five wilds on an active payline, you’ll hit the game’s jackpot – and, with an RTP of 96.01%, it’s a solid game, one of the better Prism casino games, in our opinion.
Nova 7s is another popular Realtime Gaming slot, and once you load it up, you’ll be taken aboard an alien spaceship and transported into a sci-fi universe. Built around a classic five-reel, three-row format, Nova 7s combines old-school slotting with a modern twist, and the RTP is within an acceptable range of 95.95%.
The slots section at Prism Casino is pretty decent. They don’t update their games portfolio as regularly as other Realtime Gaming sites, but they do offer the most popular titles. Whether you want to play classic, modern, or progressive jackpot slots, you’ll find an acceptable selection at Prism Casino.
Live Online Casinos
Unfortunately, Prism Casino does not currently offer any live dealer table games. The site is powered exclusively by Realtime Gaming software, which does not, at the time of writing, provide live games. As a result, players are limited solely to RNG virtual table games without the interactive experience of real human dealers.
The lack of live casino options is disappointing for anyone who enjoys the social elements of playing blackjack, baccarat, or roulette with actual dealers and other players. Without any live tables available, the only options are solitary virtual games – and, as you’ll see below – the Prism Casino games section is pretty limited.
While the lack of live dealer games is common among RTG casinos, many non-Virtual Group sites have begun incorporating live casino game selections from third-party providers. This seems like a pretty easy integration, and it’s unclear why more sites like Prism Casino aren’t interested in doing the same.
It’s unclear whether Prism Casino has plans to add live dealer games in the future, but given their popularity, we can’t see any good reason why they wouldn’t want to.
Table Games and Video Poker
The table game selection at Prism Casino is pretty limited compared to most online casinos. You’ll find just a few basic options lacking variety or unique titles. Blackjack players will find just three titles: Classic Blackjack, Suit ‘Em Up, and Blackjack + Perfect Pairs. Beyond that, only Baccarat, Tri Card Poker, and European Roulette make up the table games lineup.
With just six casino games, it’s a tiny table game library. There are no games with exciting side bets or special features, and just one Realtime Gaming Roulette version likely won’t be enough for most serious gamblers.
It’s also unusual to see European roulette located under the “Specialty Games” tab; this is confusing, and for a while, we assumed there was no Roulette available at the site! So, it’s clear: more Realtime Gaming games need to be added at Prism Casino.
Thankfully, regarding video poker, Prism Casino does a better job. You’ll have around 15 titles to choose between, including popular single and multi-hand variants. Play classic Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, and Joker Poker, or try bonus and double options like Double Double Bonus Poker, Double Bonus Poker, and Bonus Deuces Wild. The video poker games are neatly organized under their tab, making it easy to find your preferred title.
So, in summary, while video poker fans have plenty of options, the tiny table game selection falls hugely short of what players generally expect from a quality online casino.
Progressive Jackpots
One area where Prism Casino does quite a good job is in its jackpot offerings. They offer a wide variety of Realtime Gaming progressive jackpot games, and these games are linked across the provider’s global network, allowing the top prizes to rise into five and six figures steadily. Prism provides over a dozen Realtime Gaming progressive jackpot games to enjoy.
Some popular Realtime Gaming progressives include Achilles, Aztec’s Treasure, Spirit of the Inca, and Shopping Spree. For example, Shopping Spree is a 50-payline slot with one of the biggest Realtime Gaming jackpots – often known to exceed $200,000. The jackpot is won by landing a five-of-a-kind combo of the jackpot symbols on the 25th payline!
If you prefer something more upbeat, consider giving Jackpot Pinatas a try. This vibrant Mexican-themed game has four progressive jackpots, always seeded at set amounts. The Mini starts at $100, the Minor at $1,000, the Major at $10,000, and the Grand jackpot starts at $100,000! If you’re lucky enough to hit the Grand jackpot, you’re guaranteed to win a minimum of $100,000!
One of the newer progressive jackpot games at Prism Casino is Rudolph’s Revenge, where a vengeful reindeer has gone rogue. This 50-line Christmas slot offers expanding wild reels during free spins, and the jackpot bonus triggers randomly to award one of the four different progressive jackpot amounts.
While RTG’s progressives may not reach the mammoth totals of some other providers, their jackpots tend to be more obtainable for the average player. Plus, Prism Casino does offer most of their most popular jackpot casino games, so you shouldn’t have any issues finding one to suit your playing preferences.
Remember that if you use a bonus code, progressive jackpot games are often excluded from bonus wagering. This is to prevent bonus abusers, and if you’re ever unsure about whether jackpot – or other games – are excluded from bonus play or not, contact customer service, who should clear things up for you.
About the Team and History
Prism Casino is owned and operated by the Virtual Casino Group, based in Costa Rica. The Virtual Group has an extensive history spanning over 20 years in the online gambling industry. However, much of its early history is marred by operating unlicensed, untrustworthy sites.
Today, Prism Casino claims to be licensed under the jurisdiction of Costa Rica. However, Costa Rica does not actually require licensing, oversight, or regulation for online casinos. So, in reality, Prism Casino operates offshore without formal licensing.
This is concerning, as it means Prism answers to no regulatory body regarding the treatment of players and handling of funds. Costa Rica enables legal online gambling but does not enforce consumer protections. This is a stark contrast to what we see from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC), for example, and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). In the future, we would like to see Prism Casino applying for an actual online gambling license.
Prism Casino restricts players from numerous countries and territories across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia due to regulatory issues. Some notable country restrictions include the UK, France, Spain, Denmark, Italy, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Iran, India, China, Australia, and South Africa.
We could talk for hours about the history of Prism Casino and its sister sites, and we will briefly summarize this in the section below. We also recommend you check out Max’s article on the Virtual Casino Group, which explains a lot about the group in general.
Complaints and Track Record: Why We’re Giving The Virtual Casino Group Another Chance
The Virtual Casino Group has long struggled with a poor reputation in the online gambling industry due to a history of unethical business practices and mistreatment of players. Their early days were marked by operating unlicensed online casinos, stalling payouts to players, and, in some cases, not paying out winnings at all.
For nearly 20 years, the group’s casinos, like Cirrus, Cool Cat, and Virtual City, were notorious for absurdly slow withdrawal times, often stretching months, denial of withdrawal requests, and unresponsive or dishonest customer service. These issues earned them a spot in the Casinomeister rogue pit for many years.
The Virtual Group would repeatedly promise improvements and plead for “second chances,” only to continue their unfair practices after being removed from the rogue section. By the 2010s, the group’s exploits had made them synonymous with untrustworthiness in the industry.
However, around 2021, we began noticing a decline in public complaints against the Virtual casinos across various reputable forums. This trend continued through 2022 and 2023, with total monthly complaints decreasing by up to 80% compared to previous years.
The significant drop in complaints indicates that fundamental changes may finally happen within the Virtual Casino Group. They have brought in new management dedicated to reforming the company’s reputation and treating players fairly.
The group claims to have implemented new withdrawal systems to speed up payouts, addressed issues around account verification and expanded support staff training. While their troubled history warrants skepticism, these steps suggest improvement.
At Casinomeister, we believe in second chances when genuine progress is made. Though the Virtual Casino Group still has much work to do rebuilding trust, their casinos will be moved out of the rogue section to acknowledge and encourage further positive development.
By allowing them to prove themselves, we hope to incentivize fair treatment of players. However, we will closely monitor the situation in the coming months to ensure this change is legitimate and permanent. If problems resurface, the group will go right back in the pit.
