Playamo Review

A Rogue, Poorly Licensed Bitcoin Casino - Stay Away!

By Alex Smith, Last updated Dec 8, 2023

Casinomeister's Verdict

PlayAmo Casino is a ROGUE casino here at Casinomeister. They’ve continually shown they use UNETHICAL business practices – often acting illegally – and we have seen far too many reports of the casino confiscating players’ winnings/denying withdrawals for made-up/invalid reasons. Please do NOT join this casino; play at one of our Accredited or Recommended Casinos instead, where you can be sure you’re in safe hands.

First Impression

If you were to show us PlayAmo Casino without any context or knowledge about the site, we’d say it’s a good-looking casino. They have over 3,000 games, boast numerous payment options and claim fast cashouts.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot more than meets the eye with PlayAmo – and this Rogue casino is BLACKLISTED by us here at Casinomeister and any real review website that writes honest and impartial reviews. You’ll find out why later on in this review.

Please Do Not Join PlayAmo Casino – Play At One of Our Accredited Casinos Instead.

  • Nothing

  • Weak licensing

  • Linked to unethical practices

  • May offer pirated games

  • Deny legitimate winnings to players

  • Use sneaky terms to avoid paying out

PlayAmo Casino looks legit by offering “well above average” deposit bonus offers, free spins promos, and a VIP program. However, all of these should be taken with a pinch of salt; as mentioned, PlayAmo Casino is a rogue casino, so you’ll likely run into problems when it comes to cashing out your winnings.

Welcome Offer

The main deposit bonus – the first deposit bonus – at Playamo, like at many casinos, is a 100% matched welcome bonus. This welcome bonus allows you to get up to $500 in bonus funds on your first deposit. The casino will credit you with 100 free spins; these 100 free spins are issued in batches of 20 for five days until you’ve received all 100 free spins.

The casino boasts a 50% matched bonus up to $1,000 and 50 free spins on your second deposit. This time, the 50 free spins are all added at once.

A bonus code is required for both of these bonus offers, but we will not be listing the bonus code here, as PlayAmo Casino is Rogue, Shady, and possibly running fake games.

All bonus funds come with wagering requirement restrictions of 50X too, and there are so many terms and conditions to read through that it’s hard to know where to begin. A high roller bonus is also offered to those playing at even higher stakes.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

PlayAmo Casino doesn’t offer a no-deposit-required bonus. They do, however, have a Monday Free Spins bonus where you can get between 20 free spins and 100 free spins and a Friday Reload bonus.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

The VIP Program at PlayAmo Casino looks great from the outside, but nothing stands out here; as you play, you’ll accumulate comp points that can later be redeemed for bonuses.

Here’s another reminder that you should not play at or join PlayAmo Casino. There are far better online casino sites to play at – ones where you’ll get your winnings and be able to play in a fair environment. That’s not PlayAmo.

PlayAmo Casino has made it as easy as possible for players to make a deposit (expect troubles when it comes to withdrawals!), and they have some payment method options for players to choose from.

The banking options can be found at the bottom of the casino’s homepage. They accept major debit and credit cards and EWallets like Neteller, Skrill, Neosurf, Bank Transfer, Instadebit, iDebit, MiFinity, CoinsPaid and Interac.

However, their acceptance of Bitcoin allows PlayAmo Casino to capture a certain player base. Bitcoin, like other popular cryptocurrencies, is becoming ever more popular at casinos.

Bitcoin is one of the banking options available at PlayAmo. The minimum deposit for most payment options at the online casino is $10.

Withdrawal Speed

PlayAmo Casino claims to offer “lightning-fast withdrawals” – and while that may be true for small amounts, there have been numerous reports of players winning big and being denied their winnings.

We’re not even going to go into the withdrawal process; you should NOT play at PlayAmo Casino as there’s a strong chance you will not receive your winnings if you end up cashing out.

Responsible gaming

Here’s what PlayAmo has to say about responsible gambling:

“If you know from the start that you are going to have certain gambling issues or you are just afraid that you are already not able to find a middle ground between how much you want to play and how much you actually can, then you may want to choose to exclude yourself from gambling at our casino.”

“You can activate this preventive measure by contacting our friendly Support Service by Live Chat. In case you are concerned about someone close and dear to you who can lose control over themselves while gambling, please contact our friendly Support Service, and we will try to sort everything out. It works 24/7/365 and can be reached via Live Chat.”

The minute you see that a casino requires you to contact them to set any limits or close your account is when alarm bells should start to ring. It’s just another nail in the coffin for this rogued casino and yet another reason for players to avoid it at all costs.

Customer support

Like most casino sites today, PlayAmo Casino operates a live chat customer support service. This live chat service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To access the live chat facility, players will need to press the small chat bubble icon on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Players are then asked to enter their names and email address. Once done, the player will be connected to a live chat operator in a couple of minutes.

PlayAmo Casino also provides support via email. However, the site themselves state that response times via email can take up to 48 hours.

While, on the face of it, PlayAmo Casino looks to offer a fairly solid customer support team, it’s worth pointing out that the customer support team is only going to be helpful before you run into problems.

Should you attempt to make a big withdrawal or have issues verifying your account, the customer support team is likely to simply ignore you – and you won’t find yourself able to get help from any external regulators as the site’s online gambling license is from Curacao – meaningless, in reality.

To write this Playama casino review, we were curious to look at how the casino conducted KYC (Know Your Customer) checks – if at all.

Like many rogue casinos operating on a Curacao license, it looks like Playamo only asks players for documents when it suits them, when you make a withdrawal, for example. It’s doubtful they’ll ever ask you for KYC documents provided you’re depositing – and losing.

It’s yet another reason not to play at Playamo, and it’s disappointing that the shady practices used by Playamo are still going on – unchallenged – in today’s day and age.

Website Experience and Features

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

PlayAmo Casino, like most Bitcoin casinos, is well-designed – with the operators eager to appear legitimate and trustworthy to new players. And, from a completely impartial point of view – their website is easy-to-use, easy-to-navigate and user-friendly.

They also offer a mobile casino accessible from all mobile devices, without the need to download or install any apps or software. The mobile casino is accessed by heading to PlayAmo Casino from a mobile device’s internet browser. At this point, users will find themselves automatically redirected to a mobile-optimized version of the casino.

Like the desktop site, the mobile-optimized version of the casino is fairly well made. They claim that all of their games are mobile-optimized too, and they’ve even hinted about developing their own mobile app in the future.

While a mobile app seems unlikely, PlayAmo Casino has developed a desktop app that players can install on their computers and laptops. They have put significant effort into developing their website, but be warned; PlayAmo Casino is rogue, and they are closely linked with shady and unethical gaming operators.

Brand games

As is typical of a (virtually) unlicensed casino, PlayAmo Casino offers a massive number of games. Sadly, many of these games are available from some industry leaders, begging the question of how much vetting game developers are doing before providing their games to shady casinos.

The following software providers can be found at PlayAmo: Authentic, Blueprint, Endorphina, GameArt, Just For The Win, Nolimit City, Playson, Quickspin, Vivogaming, Wazdan, Rabcat, Playtech, Nucleus, Luckystreak, Genesis Gaming, Evolution Gaming, Booming Games, Belatra, Betsoft, Booongo, Evoplay, Habanero, Merkur, Platipus, Pragmatic Play, Relax, Yggdrasil, 1×2 Gaming, BGaming, EGT, Ezugi, Iron Dog Studio, Mr Slotty, Play’n Go, Push Gaming, Spinomenal, Amatic, Big Time Gaming, ELK, Felix Gaming, iSoftBet, NetEnt, Playreels, Microgaming and Thunderkick.

PlayAmo Casino boasts more than 3,000 games in their portfolio, including poker games, video slots, casino table games like Roulette, Blackjack and live games. We believe some of these games may be pirated/fake copies.

Pragmatic Play and Play’n Go are two of the biggest game developers on the planet – and, despite both being well-regulated and licensed, they both have a history of working with and providing games to shady casinos like PlayAmo Casino.

PlayAmo Casino offers almost all of Pragmatic’s slots, and Play’n Go is also heavily featured. Titles like Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Wild Frames are all available to play for real money, and the site offers a huge number of video slots. Lucky Blue Slot is another slot the casino appears to be “plugging” at writing.

However, as we pointed out earlier, we believe many of these slots could be pirated/fake. If not, the slots running at the casino are likely running at much lower RTPs than you’d find at regulated casinos.

Don’t be fooled by the generous selection of slots on offer; these slots may well be rigged and will have a much lower RTP than you should be getting.

Live Dealer Games

PlayAmo Casino uses two main game developers for their live dealer casino; Evolution Gaming and Authentic Gaming. Evolution Gaming is the clear market leader in the live dealer games industry. Indeed, Evolution Gaming has won several awards for its games.

That’s why, when writing this PlayAmo Casino review, we were surprised to see so many Evolution Gaming live dealer games available at the shady site. While PlayAmo Casino does have a gaming license, we’d expect better from Evolution. It’s disheartening to see them so willing to provide their games to shady/unethical operators.

The live dealer casino is easy to access, found simply under the “Live Casino” tab. Within the live casino, players can access a wide variety of live games, including Immersive Roulette, Dream Catcher, Deal or No Deal, Mega Wheel, Baccarat, Sic Bo and various other forms of Blackjack and Roulette.

Blackjack, Roulette – Little Variety

While PlayAmo Casino boasts quite a few Blackjack, Roulette and other table games within their live gaming area, their non-live Roulette offering isn’t quite as impressive. They offer a few Roulette variations – but nowhere near the numbers we’d expect to see.

The wide variety of these Roulette games is Auto Roulette – although you will find some other variations like European Roulette, American Roulette, Roulette Silver, Roulette Classic, Sapphire Roulette, European Roulette VIP, Aviation Roulette, Double Ball Roulette and a few more.

When it comes to Blackjack, PlayAmo Casino has slightly more variety, and they offer quite a few Blackjack games players can play for real money.

This includes Blackjack Classic, Blackjack, European Blackjack, Multi-Hand Blackjack, Blackjack Perfect Pairs, Blackjack Multi-Hand Pro, Blackjack Surrender, Double Exposure Blackjack, Pontoon (Blackjack), Vegas Blackjack and more.

Blackjack games are found under the “Blackjack” tab, with Roulette also having its own tab.

Table Games

While writing this review, PlayAmo Casino showed us they clearly aren’t shy when it comes to real money casino table games and video poker! They offer a huge selection of games – all of which allow you to play in Bitcoin – and you could see how unsuspecting players could fall into the trap of playing at this clip-shot casino.

PlayAmo Casino has other casino table games on offer like Sic Bo, Caribbean Stud Poker, Baccarat, Dragon Tiger, Pai Gow, and Three Card Poker.

When it comes to Video Poker, the online casino provides a fairly small selection of titles, including Aces and Faces, American Poker, Three Cards, and American Poker V. All of these games – along with their live, slot, progressive slot and table games – are playable in instant play mode.

Progressive jackpots

PlayAmo Casino appears to offer relatively few progressive jackpot slots – again, another warning sign that something’s amiss. While they feature Microgaming and NetEnt’s (seemingly) full game library, they don’t offer any of their progressive jackpot games – no Mega Moolah, no Divine Fortune, no Hall of Gods…

And this leads us to strongly believe they may be running pirated copies of certain games.

The few progressive jackpot games we did find were from smaller, less trustworthy software providers, EGT and Betsoft, for example.

EGT’s selection of progressive jackpot games included just five titles – 20 Golden Coins, Lucky Wood, Dorothy’s Fairyland, The Story of Alexander 2, and Dynamic Paytable Roulette – but the biggest jackpot on offer was just $4,000 at the time of writing – so it’s hardly going to win over any jackpot-seeking players.

This lack of progressive jackpot games is yet another reason for valid concern – and it’s almost unheard of for an online casino to not offer a great selection of titles.

About the Team and History

Very little is known about PlayAmo Casino, although it appears as though they were launched around 2016/2017. The casino is owned and operated by Direx N.V and managed by SoftSwiss N.V. The fact that PlayAmo Casino is owned and operated by Direx N.V isn’t a good sign.

The site holds a gaming license in Curacao from the CMS Trust – and it should be noted that the regulator they hold a license with has, in the past, been shown to turn a completely blind eye to casinos running fake games.

There are very few restricted countries at PlayAmo Casino, restricting countries where necessary, as required in terms of their gaming license. This requires them to not accept players from the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and Sweden.

However, there have been reports of the casino allowing sign-ups – and taking bets – from players within restricted countries. Of course, those players were subsequently denied any winnings. PlayAmo Casino is ROGUE, and we do NOT recommend any player play there.

The site talked about launching a sports betting facility recently, although we were unable to find any sports betting portal. Sports betting will likely come to PlayAmo in the future, however.

Complaints and Track Record

PlayAmo Casino is part of the Playamo Partners Group. This is the same group who have been confirmed to operate 22Bet; also involved are 1xSlots and 1xBet. Many online casinos operating within this network of sites and game developers have been found to offer fake, pirated copies of games – and we’ve seen multiple complaints of PlayAmo Casino confiscating wins from players, citing ridiculous terms and conditions – or making them up as they go along.

An example of one of these complaints threads can be found here.

What’s more, the casino has a dormancy term in their terms and conditions – one that we consider being predatory and is designed purely to take advantage of players who don’t log into their accounts for a while.

“If the player’s account stays inactive during 180 days (the account holder performs no deposits, bets or withdrawals), it is considered a Dormant Account. The casino reserves the right to terminate such an account and withhold any cash available on the account balance. If the player decides to re-activate his Dormant Account, they shall contact the casino support team.”

While it’s not unreasonable for online casinos to have dormancy terms in place, it’s a basic practice to make significant attempts to contact a player before confiscating winnings – and most legitimate casinos only charge a small fee for dormant accounts. That PlayAmo can completely seize a player’s winnings tells you all you need to know about this rogue casino – and we strongly recommend you do NOT play at this rogue casino.
