Omni Casino Review

Lights on - nobody home

By Casinomeister, Last updated Dec 7, 2023

Casinomeister's Verdict

Omni Casino has been listed here longer than just about any other casino – since 1999. Unfortunately, they have gone into a silent mode with a change of management. Back in the day, we would have recommended this casino to our closest of friends.

They went from stellar to hell in a hand basket. Avoid this casino at all costs.

First Impression

Omni Casino has been around for about as long as Casinomeister, and they were one of the first casinos we had listed here – since 1999. Amazing. This goes to prove how experienced and well managed the staff used to be.

Unfortunately, they had a recent change in management, and the current folks seem to be a bit lackadaisical about having any activity at Casinomeister. They have gone silent in the forum. So their Accreditation has been suspended until they get it together.

Omni Casino is a Playtech powered casino – one of the few Accredited Playtech casinos that have weathered the storm between Playtech and Casinomeister. Playtech offers some pretty good games, and their video poker is not too bad.

Omni Casino is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and in Curaçao. Curaçao being a pretty flaccid licensor – they traditionally don’t get too involved. Kahnawake, on the other hand, is probably one of the most player-facing jurisdictions that can properly deal with player issues swiftly and professionally.

Payouts are relatively slow – up to 48 hours, but this is Playtech. The main downside is that there is a 10k per month withdrawal limit – but, thankfully, this does not include progressive jackpot wins. In this Omni Casino review, we’re going to show you everything about this casino – and what you can expect if you choose to play there for yourself.

Pros

  • 20+ years in the online gambling industry

  • Large selection of Playtech slots

  • Good Video Poker selection

  • Tons of progressive jackpot games to play

Cons

  • $10k per month withdrawal limits

  • UK players not accepted

Bonuses and Promotions

Like any online casino, Omni Casino wants to entice new players into joining – and keep current customers playing – and one of how they do this is by offering a selection of welcome bonus offers and promotions. Below, we’re going to look at what bonuses you can expect to find at Omni Casino, both as a new player and an existing customer.

Exclusive offers

Welcome Bonus

The main welcome bonus at Omni Casino – also known as a deposit bonus – is spread across your first four deposits, so it’s not just your first deposit that sees you rewarded. Below, we’re going to look at how the welcome bonus works – what it gives you on each deposit – and what terms and conditions are attached to the welcome bonus.

  • 1st Deposit Bonus: 100% matched bonus up to $300
  • 2nd Deposit Bonus: 75% matched bonus up to $400
  • 3rd Deposit Bonus: 50% matched bonus up to $500
  • 4th Deposit Bonus: 50% matched bonus up to $800 + 100 Mega Spins

It’s a pretty decent welcome bonus offer – and we like how you’re rewarded on your second deposit, third deposit and fourth deposit – as well as your first – and all of the bonuses, whether the second deposit or the fourth deposit – come with the same wagering requirements (aside from the Mega Spins.)

For all of the matched bonuses, a wagering requirement of 25X is applied – and these wagering requirements must be completed before the bonus is transferred to your real money balance.

Again, with all terms applicable from your first deposit to the fourth, there are some game restrictions – but nothing too bad – and there’s no max cashout from the bonus, which is great. Overall, this first deposit (and subsequent three deposit) bonus allows you to claim up to $2,000 in casino bonus funds – and that’s without the Mega Spins!

The Mega Spins – free spins – are credited to your account, provided you use the bonus code “100MEGA” on your fourth deposit. These free spins will then be added to your account, and you can play the free spins on selected video slots. The free spins have a wagering requirement of 30X, so slightly higher than the main bonus. Other bonus terms and conditions apply, so be sure to read the full terms at Omni Casino before claiming!

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

At the time of writing, we did not find any no-deposit bonuses or no-deposit free spins offered at Omni Casino. If this changes – and yes, we play at Omni Casino, so we’ll know – we’ll update this page accordingly.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

Omni Casino offers a Loyalty Program/VIP Program, and it’s a 6-tier scheme that all players are enrolled in as soon as they create an account. You collect points by playing your favourite casino games and video slots, and these points can, at a later date, be redeemed for bonuses. If you manage to reach level 6, you’ll become a VIP at Omni Casino – and this brings in several additional perks. However, they’re not too transparent with the details of what being a VIP actually entails.

BANKING AND PAYMENT METHODS

Like most online casinos, Omni Casino aims to offer players as many payment methods as possible – and their selection of banking options is pretty decent; they accept all major credit, debit cards, E-Wallets and more – and you shouldn’t have any issues making deposits and withdrawals.

Omni Casino allows you to make deposits and withdrawals using VISA, MasterCard, Interac, EasyEFT, Neteller, Skrill, and, in some cases, a direct bank transfer. Bank transfers, however, may incur additional fees – and payments made using bank transfers won’t appear in your account instantly. All deposits made using the other payment methods will – and we recommend using E-Wallets where possible, as it makes withdrawals much faster!

Withdrawal Speed

When you make a withdrawal request at Omni Casino, it will enter a “pending” state for 48 hours. During this period of time, you can reverse your withdrawal, and there’s no lock function – so be careful with this and make sure you don’t end up paying back your winnings!

Once the casino has processed your withdrawal, it can take anywhere from an hour to 5 working days to reach your account, depending on which payment method you chose. Unfortunately, Omni Casino has a $10K/per month withdrawal limit – which is very low for a per month limit. Something to keep in mind for the high-rollers out there.

Responsible Gaming

While Omni does allow all players to set several responsible gambling tools up to help manage their gambling activity (and ensure it doesn’t spiral out of control), we were disappointed to find that the casino does not allow you to self-set these limits. That means you’ll need to reach out to the casino’s support team to set any responsible gambling limits – something, we feel, isn’t really acceptable in today’s day and age.

The responsible gambling tools on offer are what you’d expect – and include daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits. There’s also the option to shut your account using either the time-out or self-exclusion features, but, again, you can’t implement these yourself; you need to email the casino directly if you want to shut your account, and we really don’t like this; players should be able to close their account on their own instantly, should they choose to do so. Still, at least the responsible gambling tools are there – even if you can’t manage them yourself.

Customer Support

As you’d expect from any successful online iGaming site, Omni Casino has a customer support team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you out with any issues, questions or problems you may have. They operate a live chat facility, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Live chat is the easiest way to get in touch with the casino’s customer support team, as it connects you with an operator in minutes, and you can then use the live chat to talk through your problem in real-time.

If you’re unable to use the live chat facility – or find, for some reason, that it’s closed, you can also reach the customer service team via a customer service email address and by a toll-free phone number. We’d always recommend getting in touch with the customer service team via live chat, as it’s almost always the quickest way to get help and support – but phone and email support is available if needed.

KYC

When getting in touch with Omni about their KYC (Know Your Customer) processing times, we were met with the following message: “Due to heavy live chat volumes, our live chat support is temporarily offline. However, 24/7 support is still available! please contact us by leaving a message below or via email.”

However, after a bit of digging, we found that they do run player identification checks – usually when you’re making your first deposit. If asked to do so, you’ll need to upload proof of your ID and proof of address. We do not, however, know the processing times for them to verify your documents – but we’d imagine it would be within 48 hours.

Website Experience and Features

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

While the casino’s website may not be the most modern-looking in the world, it performs well, and we found it easy-to-use, easy-to-navigate and very user-friendly when writing this review. It’s pretty simple – but we actually quite like this, as it makes the casino experience a lot more straightforward.

Their mobile casino isn’t available in an app format – yet – but it can easily be accessed from mobile devices by loading up the site from your internet browser. You will then be automatically redirected to a mobile-optimized version of the site, where you’ll find most of the games available.

One Of The Few Sites To Offer A Download Client

One bonus of playing at Omni is that they are one of the few online casinos to still offer a downloadable software client. This can be downloaded on most Windows and Mac laptops and computers, and it allows you to play directly from the software program as opposed to through your internet browser.

While there isn’t really any benefit – speed or performance-wise – from playing through their download-based client, it’s a nice touch – and it’s something that many old-school players may appreciate!

Brand games

Providers

Playtech software is used throughout the casino website – and you won’t find games from any other software providers at Omni Casino. While this will be a turn off to some players, those who enjoy Playtech’s offering won’t be left disappointed – and the number of games available is pretty decent.

Slots

Load up Omni Casino, and you’ll find yourself faced with tons of games. Omni Casino offers, primarily slots – and it’s clear these are their most popular type of game, as there are hundreds of such games! Omni Casino brings you Playtech’s full range of slot machines, including modern-day slots, all the way to their retro, old-school 3-reel games.

A quick look at the most popular page shows many exciting video slots – the most popular of currently Khonsu: God of Moon Fire Blaze. This is actually a new video slot, and the game’s high win potential is attracting a large number of players into giving it a play for themselves.

Another popular video slot at Omni Casino is Book of Kings – PowerPlay Jackpot – which, at the time of writing, offers players the chance to win as much as $146,000 their stake from a single spin!

Online gambling is all about slots these days, and other games you’ll find at Omni Casino includes Bee Frenzy, Toltec Treasure, Frogs Gift, Legacy of the Wild 2, Legend of Hydra and Shadow Queen: Kingdom Rise.

Live Casino

Omni Casino offers all players the chance to play in their Playtech-powered live dealer casino, and here, you’ll find a huge selection of live dealer games to enjoy – ensuring, no matter what type of player you are, you’ll find a game that fits what you’re looking for!

The live dealer casino at Omni Casino is found under the “Live Dealers” tab on the main game navigation menu, and you’ll then find yourself faced with more than 30 different live dealer games to enjoy. Of course, you’ll find the classics here – Live Roulette, Live Blackjack, Live French Roulette and more – but there’s also several poker and game show inspired live games, including Heads Up Hold’em Live, Live Spin-a-Win, Adventures Beyond Wonderland – and there’s even a couple of progressive jackpot video slot live dealer games, where you play along with the dealer as they play slots!

This includes God of Storms Live and Buffalo Blitz Live – a unique concept and one that we’re sure other software providers will soon be catching onto!

Table Games and Video Poker

Omni Casino offered a great selection of video poker machines – providing players with much more than just Jacks or Better or Deuces Wild – but, unfortunately, when writing this review, it appears as though the number of video pokies available is much lower than it once was.

Of course, you’ll still find Jacks or Better – Jacks or Better Multi-hand, it’s called – along with Deuces Wild – but no longer will you find Aces and Faces (Aces and Faces is one of our favourite machines), with the only other machine being Pick’em Poker.

Along with these video poker games, the site offers some casino table games that didn’t fit into the categories above; this includes Red Dog, Sic Bo, Pai Gow, Hi-Lo, and they also have a small selection of arcade games and scratch cards.

All poker games, scratch cards – and Sic Bo – can be found under either the “Table Games” or the “Keno & More” tabs on the site.

Progressive Jackpots

Under the tab “Progressive Slots”, you’ll notice that Omni Casino offers a wide variety of progressive jackpot video slots for you to enjoy. Naturally, these are all provided by Playtech – and there’s actually an excellent selection of games available for you to take advantage of. The site showcases the current jackpot amount on the game’s thumbnail, too, so you can see exactly how much it’s worth without having to load up the game.

Jackpot Giant is the most popular progressive jackpot video slot at Omni Casino, to no surprise on our end, and this hugely popular Playtech video slot offers a massive jackpot. Currently, it’s worth over $7 million! Gladiator: Road to Rome is another iconic progressive jackpot video slot from Playtech, and this game’s jackpot is currently just $145,000 – meaning a lucky player recently scooped it!

Some of the other progressive jackpots you’ll find at Omni Casino includes Egyptian Emeralds Power Play, Age of Gods: Ruler of the Dead, Sands of Fury, Joker Hot Reels, Wall Street Fever, Beach Life and Pixel Samurai. All of the Age of the Gods progressive jackpots slots are available here – and, if you’re not familiar, Age of the Gods is Playtech’s signature progressive jackpot machine. Age of the Gods is like Microgaming’s Mega Moolah – and there are tons of spinoff machines, all sharing the same jackpot – they’re worth checking out, as the games are very well made and fun-to-play!

About the Team and History

Omni Casino’s been around since 1997 – so it’s fair to say they know a thing or two about running a solid casino. It’s that wealth of experience that ensures so many players get the full casino experience while playing at their site. In terms of regulation, Omni Casino is regulated by the Government of Curacao and by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. The site itself is owned by Peak Interactive N.V.

Just so you’re aware, while Omni Casino accepts players from all around the world, there are several restricted countries. Some of these restricted countries include Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, the United Kingdom, United States and more. Players from the United States should check out our dedicated “United States” area of the website, where we have some United States-friendly casinos ready to sign you up!

Complaints and Track Record

A glance in the forums shows that Omni Casino has a very low rate of complaints – especially compared to other casinos out there today – and most of the complaints surround either the banking options when it comes to withdrawals or issues with the terms of the casino bonuses. While researching for this review, we also looked at what other sites were saying – and the trend seems to be pretty similar.

Since 1997, Omni Casino is one of the oldest online casinos on the planet – and they have a solid reputation among players, both new and old. Provided you ensure you read the t&cs carefully when accepting casino bonuses – and don’t try and sign up from a country you’re not meant to – then you shouldn’t have any issues playing with them.

When we reached out to the casino to ask about their complaints procedure, we were told that any customer complaints should send details of the complaint to the site’s support email address. Once you’ve sent an email, they will get back to you in a “reasonable” period of time with the result of their decision. If you’re unhappy with this decision, you also have the option of escalating your complaint to one of the casino’s ADRs or, if this fails, one of their regulatory bodies.
