First Impression

As a Realtime Gaming-powered casino we were expecting to see quite an out-of-date and slow website when we started to write this casino review; however, to our surprise, Grande Vegas Casino’s website is very modern and up-to-date, and while they do still offer a downloadable software client to players, the website is now available to be enjoyed in instant play mode, allowing you to begin playing all of the casino table games and video slots without having to install anything onto your device.

There are more than 200 different games to enjoy at Grande Vegas Casino, including video slots, progressive jackpot games, video poker, although, unfortunately, you won’t find any live casino games. There is a fairly decent selection of banking methods for deposits and withdrawals, although cashouts could be faster.

Let’s kick off this review of Grande Vegas Casino with a look at the different bonuses and promotions that are available to players.

  • Decent game range

  • Regular bonuses and promotions

  • Good comp points scheme

BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS

Almost all the casinos we review boast an impressive selection of casino bonuses and promotions, from deposit bonuses to cash-back loyalty schemes, and Grande Vegas is no exception. In the next stage of our review, we’re going to take a look at the Grande Vegas Casino bonuses which you can expect to enjoy, and we’ll start by taking a look at the main welcome bonus that’s offered to new customers.

Welcome Offer

The main welcome bonus at Grande Vegas Casino isn’t anything too special, but it does allow you to claim a 150% matched deposit bonus of up to $300. The terms and conditions of this welcome bonus are actually quite fair, although we should point out that the maximum bet is pretty low, so be sure to read the full terms and conditions before claiming the welcome bonus offer for yourself.

To claim the welcome bonus promotion you do need to use the coupon code “WELCOME” when making your deposit, or, alternatively, you can click on the redeem welcome bonus button on the promotions page.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

Grande Vegas Casino is one of the few online casino sites to still offer a no deposit bonus, and all new players can claim a $25 free welcome special simply for signing up. To claim this bonus, you just need to head to the promotions page on the casino’s website and click the redeem free bonus button. Once you have created an account, the $25 free chip will be automatically credited to your account balance, allowing you to try out Grande Vegas Casino completely risk-free.

VIP and Loyalty Programs

Grande Vegas Casino offers an excellent VIP scheme which is called the VIP club, and the way in which the VIP club works at Grande Vegas Casino is relatively simple and straightforward; you just need to begin playing in the real-money casino and you will automatically begin to accumulate comp points. These comp points are directly equivalent to VIP points, and the more points that you earn. the higher up the VIP ladder you will climb.

If you manage to accumulate 5000 or more VIP points during any 90-day period, you will be entered into the Grande Vegas casino VIP program; if and when this happens you will be automatically notified by email.

There are a number of perks to being a VIP at Grande Vegas Casino, and once you have qualified for the program you will be automatically awarded an exclusive $100 no-deposit bonus, which can be used on all the games available at the casino. As a VIP you will also qualify for higher deposit bonuses on a daily basis, and you will have higher maximum bet and wagering limits. Each bet you place at the casino will result in new additional comp points, thus making it easier to maintain your VIP level and climb up to higher ranks on the ladder.

BANKING AND PAYMENT METHODS

One of the things we have become quite used to seeing at Realtime Gaming powered online casino sites is a relatively limited selection of payment methods. To our surprise, Grande Vegas Casino offers one of the larger selections of banking options we’ve seen in a while, and you will be able to make deposits and withdrawals in a number of manners.

For example, you can make deposits using all major debit and credit cards including Visa and MasterCard, and the popular e-wallet, Neteller, is also available. In addition, you can make deposits using a wire transfer and a couple of other country-specific methods, but perhaps most notably is the fact that Grande Vegas Casino now accepts Bitcoin as a payment method.

We really like to see Bitcoin offered at online casinos as it helps to facilitate instant and almost fee-free payments, and all of the payment methods at Grande Vegas Casino are free to use; the online casino does not charge players any fees to make a deposit. However, your bank or credit card issuer may charge a fee, especially if you are making a deposit in a non-local currency.

Withdrawal Speed

When it comes to withdrawals, Grande Vegas Casino may not have a reputation for offering ultra-fast payments, but they do a better job than most Realtime Gaming casinos, and once you have submitted a withdrawal request, the finance team at the casino will try to process it within 48 hours.

Of course, if you make a withdrawal on a public holiday or over the weekend you may need to wait a couple of extra days, but generally speaking, the team does a fairly good job of processing withdrawals as quickly as possible. Once your withdrawal has been processed, you will typically see the funds hit your account within one to five working days depending on which payment method you have chosen to use.

Responsible Gaming

Unfortunately, one of the main areas in which we feel Grande Vegas Casino lets itself down is responsible gambling. While they have a responsible gaming page set up on their website, it’s only 100 words long, and it doesn’t really explain anything that we would expect to see explained to players; for example, there are just a few links to some external problem gambling charities and organizations, and all they really say is that players under the age of 18 and illegal players should not use their website.

To our dismay, Grande Vegas Casino mentions nothing about responsible gambling tools like deposit limits, loss limits, or wager limits, and there isn’t even any mention of a self-exclusion or time-out facility which is a license requirement, even in Curaçao.

On further investigation, it appears that Grande Vegas Casino does in fact allow players to self-exclude, but this option is not automatically available in your account, and you need to contact the casino’s customer support team directly in order to initiate a self-exclusion and block access to your account.

This, we feel, is really poor, and it’s a shame that an otherwise impressive and well-managed casino really falls short when it comes to responsible gambling, especially as it is such an important and prevalent topic in today’s online gambling industry.

Customer Support

Grande Vegas Casino states on their support page that they strive to provide the best customer service available 24 hours a day seven days a week, and while we have read complaints here in the Casinomeister forums about players waiting weeks to get a response from the casino, these generally appear to be relatively isolated incidents, and usually, they concern instances where players have broken the terms and conditions of the casino.

While we were writing this Grande Vegas Casino review, we tested out the customer support facilities and we were actually relatively impressed with what we came across; there are two main methods of getting in touch with the Grande Vegas Casino customer support team, email and live chat.

We always like to see live chat customer support offered at online casinos as it allows players to contact a customer representative in just a few minutes, and unlike using email support you do not have to wait hours between emails, going back-and-forth, simply to get a reply. To initiate a live chat conversation at Grande Vegas Casino you simply need to click on the speech bubble icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the page and you will then be prompted to enter your name and email address; you will then be connected to a trained member of the customer support team in just a couple of minutes, and you can then talk, in real-time, about your problem or query.

If you prefer to contact Grande Vegas Casino’s customer support team via email, they have their support email visible on their support page. It is accessed by clicking on the hamburger navigation menu in the top left-hand corner of the page and clicking the support option that drops down. However, we should point out that email response times can take as much as 48 hours, so if your question or problem is urgent we would recommend using the larger facility where available.

Grande Vegas Casino does also provide a small selection of FAQs on their support page, and while these are unlikely to help with any account-specific problems, they do answer some of the most common questions players have, so it’s worth checking them out for contacting the casino’s customer support team.

KYC

As with pretty much any regulator online casino today, Grande Vegas Casino requires players to undergo an identification check before they are able to withdraw any winnings. This is achieved through what is known as a Know Your Customer check, which requires you to provide proof to the casino that you are above the age of 18 and are legally allowed to gamble at the casino.

Thankfully, because Grande Vegas Casino does not accept players from the United Kingdom, you do not have to complete this verification check before you are able to join the casino; however, when it comes to making your first withdrawal you will very likely find that the casino will require you to upload these Know Your Customer documents, and they will need to be verified before your withdrawal is processed and paid out.

When Grande Vegas Casino notifies you that you need to complete this check you will be required to upload a copy of your driver’s license or passport along with proof of address; the latter needs to show your full name and address and should be dated within the last three months. Usually, a copy of your bank or mobile phone statement is sufficient.

Once you submit all of the required documents to Grande Vegas Casino, their team will aim to process them within 48 hours. However, we have read accounts from some players who state that they have waited as many as seven working days for the documents to be approved, so it’s unclear what is actually going on here and whether the 48-hour timeframe is truly accurate or not.

While we appreciate that it can seem quite annoying to have to complete these kinds of checks, we should point out that in fairness to Grande Vegas Casino it’s not their fault; the terms and conditions of their online gambling license require them to run these checks, and if they don’t, they can be fined quite a lot of money or even end up losing their online gambling license altogether.

Website Experience and Features

Grande Vegas Casino is one of the few online casinos that still offers a downloadable software client, although where possible we would avoid using this if we were you, as there are not really any speed benefits to doing so and the downloadable client seems a bit clunky and out of date in our opinion.

Thankfully, the entirety of Grande Vegas Casino’s website is now available to enjoy in instant play mode, which means that you can open up and play all of their casino games and video slots from the comfort of your Internet browser without needing to download or install any plug-ins.

When we were writing this Grande Vegas Casino review, we thoroughly tested out the website and found it to be relatively fast, easy to use, and easy to navigate; however, everything seems a little bit too basic in our opinion. For example, there is no search function that allows you to search for games directly by name, which is something that we feel should be added to the website in the future to make the overall user experience even easier.

When it comes to the mobile casino, Grande Vegas Casino does not offer a downloadable mobile app. However, their website is fully mobile-optimized, which means you can open up the Grande Vegas Casino website from your mobile device’s Internet browser, log in or create an account, and begin playing all of your favorite casino games.

Like the desktop version of the website, the mobile casino isn’t the most modern-looking, but it does the job, and there are more than 200 casino games available to play through the mobile site, so it’s not all bad news.

Brand games

Providers

Grande Vegas Casino is fully powered by Realtime Gaming, which means that all of the different online casino games you will find available to play at the casino are indeed developed and produced by Realtime Gaming.

Unfortunately, this does mean that you will not find many of the conventional classic game developers and software providers you might expect to see at an online casino in 2022 like NetEnt and Quickspin, but if you are used to Realtime Gaming’s software, you should feel at home.

In the next sections of this review, we’re going to take a look at some of the main games available to play at the casino and will start things off with a look at the video slots which are available.

Slots

Realtime Gaming is well-known for its selection of online slots, and while we think it’s fair to say that they are not the most modern-looking games in the world, they generally do a fairly good job of making exciting and enticing slot machines which can be enjoyed by players from all over the world.

There are more than 100 different slot machines to play at Grande Vegas Casino, and one of the game developer’s most popular is High Fashion. This is a five-reel, three-row video slot with 25 adjustable paylines, and during the base game, matching a 5-of-a-kind combination can award a payout of up to 500 times your bet.

However, it’s the free spins bonus round that you’ll be wanting to keep an eye out on, and this is triggered by landing three or more of the scatter symbols anywhere in view.

Once triggered, you will be awarded with between 10 and 30 free spins, and during the free spins there is a multiplier applied against all wins which makes it much easier to win big; it’s possible to win up to 2000 times your stake during the free spins bonus round, and it is also possible to retrigger the feature, allowing a near-endless number of free spins.

Other popular Realtime Gaming video slots available at Grande Vegas Casino include Football Frenzy, Jumping Beans, Shark School, and Naughty or Nice Spring Break. Unfortunately, there isn’t any option to sort through the video slot games, and you have to manually trawl through them – there is also no search function which we find to be slightly irritating.

Live Dealer Games

One of our biggest complaints about Realtime Gaming software is the fact that they haven’t made any notable attempt to break through and enter into the live casino industry, and this is something that we know players from all around the world are looking for on an increased basis when they are choosing which casinos to sign up to.

Today, the live casino industry is bigger than ever before, and with industry-leading companies like Evolution Gaming and Playtech offering vast selections of live dealer games, we feel that it is simply not good enough for other large scale game developers like Realtime Gaming not to make any attempt to diversify; the reason why we say this is because Realtime Gaming power so many online casinos today, and virtually all of the casinos that they power are not able to offer live casino games to its players due to the fact that Realtime Gaming simply hasn’t developed any.

While we realize it is no easy task to develop live dealer games – the technology behind can cost millions of dollars, for example – we’re not really sure why Realtime Gaming hasn’t partnered up with a live casino provider as this would enable all of the casinos running on Realtime Gaming software to begin offering live casino games to its players.

We would like to see this change in the future, and if and when Grande Vegas Casino does begin to offer live casino games with players, we will update this review accordingly.

Table Games and Video Poker

Grande Vegas Casino offers a pretty decent selection of casino table games, and not only will you find a number of different Roulette and Blackjack variations, but there’s also a range of other, less common casino table games like Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Keno, Bonus Bingo, and Casino War.

All of these casino table games can be found under the table games subsection of the main game navigation menu, and one of the things that we really like about Grande Vegas Casino is the fact that many of their table games have very low minimum betting limits, which enables you to enjoy playing the games without having to worry too much about how much you’re staking.

There is also a very impressive selection of video poker titles on offer, to include Jacks or Better, Sevens Wild, Aces and Eights, Bonus Deuces, All American Poker, European slot Poker, and Double Bonus Poker. Video poker has its own subsection at Grande Vegas Casino, which makes it really easy to find and begin playing your favorite video poker titles.

Progressive jackpots

No online casino today would be complete without a large selection of progressive jackpots, and if you don’t know how progressive jackpot games work, they have a centralized jackpot which increases each time a player from anywhere in the world spins through that slot; in other words, the jackpot continues to keep growing until a lucky player ends up winning it. Once this happens, the jackpot resets and the process begins again.

Progressive jackpot games are incredibly popular as they allow you to win, potentially, life-changing amounts of money from a singular spin. Grande Vegas Casino offers players the chance to enjoy a huge selection of progressive jackpot games. In fact, almost all of Realtime Gaming’s progressive jackpot slots are available to play, and some of the most popular games include Aztecs Millions and Spirit of the Inca, both of which are capable of producing six-figure payouts!

About the Team and History

Grande Vegas Casino has been around for an incredibly long time as they first opened their virtual doors in 2009; just one year later, in 2010, they were acquired by the Greavestrend Ltd Group, who also own Jackpot Capital Casino. Since then they have done relatively well in the online gambling world, attracting a significant number of players to their website and offering a generally acceptable experience to those who sign up.

At one point Grande Vegas Casino was an accredited site here at Casinomeister, although in the last few years they’ve kind of fallen off the radar and are not as involved as they once were; however, there is still an active rep in the forums, although their response times aren’t as fast as we would like.

Grande Vegas Casino is licensed in Curaçao; at the time of writing, they do not hold an online gambling license from the UK Gambling Commission or the MGA, and while we understand this is going to be a turnoff for some players, it should be noted that generally speaking Grande Vegas Casino has a fairly solid reputation.

Complaints and Track Record

Grande Vegas Casino has quite a lot of complaints in the forum, although from what we can see, the vast majority of these complaints are due to players breaking terms and conditions; whether or not these terms and conditions are fair or not is another matter. Let’s take a look at what some players are saying, below:

One of our members, Gambblex, got stung by a somewhat unfair term:

Hi, guys. Got my withdrawal cancelled @ Grande Vegas due to my own mistake. Claimed a free chip while having a withdrawal pending.

I mean, yeah, I screwed up. It’s in their terms and I thought I’m pretty familiar with these but somehow this thing escaped my memory or it wasn’t always in the terms.

I mean, I’ve deposited with no bonus-submitted a small wd-found a freebie in the cashier, claimed it-blew the freebie-reversed wd-played some more-won some more-submitted wd-got winnings void.

Well, it sucks I guess, but the question is: how exactly claiming a free chip when having a withdrawal can cause harm to a casino? Or how exactly one could get an advantage over the casino in such a case? Why is this considered abuse ?”

Overall, Grande Vegas is one of our favorite casinos, especially for players in countries where other casinos often won’t accept them.
