Casino Action Review
Solid Microgaming casino - been around for years
By Casinomeister Feb 18, 2022
Like most other brands operated by Casino Rewards, Casino Action is a decent operator with a very good gaming portfolio. Its Microgaming software features some of the best slots, table games, and video poker games.
However, we had to remove it from our list of accredited online casino brands because it violated one of our guidelines. It ran a promotion inviting players to reverse their cash withdrawals, which is a red flag in our book.
It’s a shame we had to see Casino Action go, particularly since it is otherwise a good casino brand.
Decent Microgaming Operator With a History of Questionable Marketing Practices
Casino Action looks like a solid online casino. It features a well-functioning website and downloadable desktop software that can facilitate the player experience. Its mobile website is also quite good, as it shares many of the player-friendly features of the desktop version. The simple and intuitive layout makes the platform easy to navigate. The games load pretty quickly and feature high-quality graphics and visuals.
500+ Microgaming games
Excellent choice of video poker and table games
Wide range of payment options
Licensed by the UKGC, MGA, Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and Danish Gambling Authority
No live dealer games
High wagering requirements
BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS
Whether you are a newly-registered user or a seasoned player in Casino Action, the operator has a suitable bonus offer for you. Its Promotions section advertises a welcome bonus package available on the first five of your deposits, and it runs time-limited deposit bonus offers each month. Existing players also have the opportunity to participate in the casino’s VIP loyalty program and collect specialized rewards.
Players who decide to create an account in Action Casino will have the opportunity to claim as many as five welcome bonuses. These promotions are tied in with the users’ first five deposits, and all of them bring different percentages and maximum bonus amounts, as outlined below.
- First deposit bonus — 100% deposit match up to $250
- Second deposit bonus — 50% deposit match up to $340
- Third deposit bonus — 25% deposit match up to $850
- Fourth deposit bonus — 50% deposit match up to $420
- Fifth deposit bonus —100% deposit match up to $250
To receive any of these bonus funds, customers have to make a minimum deposit of $17, which is a very reasonable requirement. However, we can’t say the same of the wagering requirements associated with this promotion.
In order to make their winnings withdrawable, players who’ve claimed a part of this promotion must rollover the bonus amount a staggering 200 times. To put things into perspective, the average wagering requirement in the iGaming industry is around 40x.
No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers
Unfortunately, the Casino Action website doesn’t have any deposit-free or free spins bonus offers at the moment. However, it changes up its promotional section quite frequently, so there’s a chance some of these may spring up in the future.
VIP and Loyalty Programs
As a member of the Casino Rewards Group, Casino Action lets its users participate in the group’s unique loyalty program. It consists of six distinct levels players can reach by collecting status points and follows this structure:
- Green level — 0 points
- Bronze level — 1 point
- Silver level — 6 points
- Gold level — 81 points
- Platinum level — 201 points
- Diamond level — 401 points
Players win VIP points for each $10 real-money wager at a different rate, depending on the type of casino games they play. When they collect 50 VIP points, they get one status point that helps them climb the loyalty ladder.
Each new loyalty level brings more lucrative prizes, including access to exclusive games, higher betting limits, dedicated VIP hosts, exclusive promotions, and entries into VIP lucky jackpot draw, among other things.
BANKING AND PAYMENT METHODS
Casino Action boasts a very nice array of payment methods available for casino deposits. It features everything from bank transfers and credit cards to Ewallets and voucher systems. Here is the list of specific banking options in question:
- Visa/Mastercard/American Express/JCB credit/debit cards
- Electronic Check
- Instant Payments
While credit cards may be accepted in some other jurisdictions, this is not the case with the United Kingdom. The UK Gambling Commission banned the use of this payment method in 2020, and players haven’t been able to use it ever since.
With any of these payment methods, players can deposit a minimum of $14, which is quite a sensible deposit limit. The casino doesn’t explicitly state how much time it takes for these transactions to go through, but most deposits are usually processed instantly.
As far as the casino is concerned, players don’t have to pay any fees for their deposits. However, some banks and payment processors may charge transaction fees on their end.
Once you’re ready to request a payout from Casino Action, you will be able to do so via the same banking option(s) you’ve used to top up your account. As is the case in many other online casinos, you’ll have to complete the identity verification process to be able to make a successful withdrawal.
After you submit your request, the casino will need to review it before approving it, which can take between 24h and 48h. The minimum amount you can withdraw is only $17, except in the case of direct bank transfer withdrawals that come with a minimum withdrawal limit of $500.
By the same token, payouts made via direct bank transfer are also subject to fees — $50 for withdrawals under $3,000 and $100 for withdrawals over this amount. Other withdrawal methods don’t incur any fees.
Speaking of extra charges, all withdrawals made in a different currency than the one registered in the player’s account come with a conversion fee of 2.5%.
The maximum withdrawal limits in Casino Action are quite high, reaching up to $60,000 per day, depending on the payment method.
However, this limit can get considerably reduced if the cumulative sum of your withdrawals in casinos belonging to the Casino Rewards Group reaches the sum which equals five times your total deposit amount or more.
In this case, you will be able to withdraw only $4,000 a week. Keep in mind that this rule doesn’t apply to progressive jackpot winnings.
Responsible gambling is a major concern for all online casinos, and Casino Action definitely recognizes the importance of the issue. The platform encourages setting deposit limits and using session reminders to help players avoid gambling problems. If a player notices signs of gambling addiction, they can even take a break of up to six weeks or enter a self-exclusion program of up to five years.
Customer support in Casino Action can be reached through two channels of communication:
- Live chat
- Email at [email protected]
Live chat is available 24/7, so you can get a quick and effective answer in just a few minutes. Email communication, on the other hand, is suitable for more complex issues and complaints that are not very urgent. Support representatives usually respond to emails within 48 hours.
Players who intend to open an account with Action Casino must be at least 19 years old to be able to do so successfully. In addition to that, new users must verify their age and identity by submitting documents, such as government-issued photo IDs and recent bank statements or utility bills confirming the player’s address.
What’s more, the operator’s AML policy states that users might be required to submit proof of ownership of the payment methods used to make deposits and withdrawals. To learn more about how to verify different payment methods, read the Verification Policy on the Casino Action website.
Website Experience and Features
Desktop and Mobile Gaming
Casino Action is a Microgaming-powered casino that features a downloadable desktop app. In addition, it also allows its users to play casino games via their browser, thanks to the instant play mode.
The website is rather plain, with no distinctive design features. However, the lack of visual originality doesn’t also mean the absence of functionality. As a matter of fact, the platform has an intuitive layout, and its response times have been reduced to a minimum.
There are no standalone mobile apps you can download, but you can still play Casino Action games on the go via your mobile browser. The mobile version of the casino has almost all of the same features as the desktop website, except that some games may be unavailable. As far as other elements are concerned, the two platforms are easily comparable.
The gaming portfolio in Casino Action online casino is one of the operator’s most striking features.
It has teamed up with Microgaming — one of the best providers in the online gambling industry, to create a collection of over 500 high-quality games. The highlights of the selection are definitely video poker titles and slot games, although the table game category doesn’t disappoint, either.
We should also mention the platform’s VIP program that connects all gambling brands belonging to Casino Rewards Group. Not only can players collect points for their real-money wagers, but they can also use them to reap the benefits in any of the participating online casinos.
The collection of games in Casino Action features some of the most popular titles released by Microgaming — one of the most highly-renowned game developers in the industry. The casino offers over 500 titles covering slots, table games, video poker, and a small collection of specialty games. The only notable drawback of this gaming library is its lack of live dealer games.
As one would expect, the slot category is the most abundant one in Casino Action. It contains the finest Microgaming titles, including 9 Masks of Fire, Break da Bank, Book of Oz, Jurassic Park, and Immortal Romance. In addition to these games, one can also find a wide variety of other three- and five-reelers with diverse special features and themes.
Live Dealer Games
Unfortunately, Casino Action doesn’t offer any live dealer games at the moment.
Video Poker and Other Table Games
Microgaming video poker titles are known to be some of the greatest of their kind, and Casino Action boasts a solid collection. Players can enjoy various iterations of the genre, including Aces and Faces, Bonus Deuces Wild, All Aces Video Poker, Jacks or Better, and Joker Poker, among other titles.
When it comes to other table games, the choice is even more diverse. The category contains over 50 titles, covering some of the most coveted games, such as Roulette, Baccarat, Blackjack, and Sic Bo. The most exciting games in the collection include Real Roulette, European Roulette, Atlantic City Blackjack, and Vegas Strip Blackjack.
The assortment of progressive slots in Casino Action may not be very wide, but it consists of some of the most exhilarating and rewarding titles. Players can test their luck on games like Treasure Nile, Mega Vault Millionaire, Treasure Quest and get a chance to win some of the highest jackpots in the industry playing the Mega Moolah titles.
About the Team and History
Established in 2008, Casino Action is a long-standing casino brand powered by Casino Rewards Group, a veteran company in the iGaming industry. The group began its operations in 2000, boasting over two decades of experience in managing big casino brands.
In addition to Casino Action, Casino Rewards powers 28 other brands, including Grand Hotel Casino, Golden Tiger, Phoenician Casino, Luxury Casino, and Villento Casino, to name a few. All of the operator’s casinos feature Microgaming software and are interconnected via the same loyalty program.
Casino Rewards casinos also feature operating licences issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and the Danish Gambling Authority. This allows them to cater to millions of players worldwide.
Complaints and Track Record
Casino Action has been operating for more than a decade, maintaining a decent track record. During this time, we did receive a few player complaints about the operator, but these were successfully resolved by the casino representative active on our forum.
Due to the many reliable features, Casino Action used to be on our list of accredited online casinos. Sadly, it had to be removed because of a misleading marketing campaign it was running. The promotion in question was enticing players to reverse cash withdrawals, which goes against our standards.
