Dear Reader,

Well, we had our first snowfall in the "Frankenwald", our nearby forest. It wasn't much, but it was just enough to bang home the thought that winter is lingering just around the corner. And here comes Halloween.

Halloween is just starting to catch on in Germany. For the past couple of years, there has been an increase in ghosts, witches, and Jack-o-lanterns decorating homes and businesses. It's a great commercial thing, you know. Last year we even had some trick-or-treaters (which I wasn't really quite ready for) come to the house. They just stood there and didn't know what to say--no one knows the term "Trick or treat." They just stuck out their bags expecting something.

This year, I purchased a ghoul mask at Target while I was in the states, and I'll be ready for these little kids when they come here begging for candy. Maybe I'll really freak them out and let my three-year-old son answer the door with it on. There is nothing worse than a three foot high person with a big rubber ghoul head.

Schemingly yours,

Bryan

WORD FROM THE MEISTER
A HISTORIC WEEK AT CASINOMEISTER
After countless hours, and hours, and hours of playing Video Poker on every software platform imaginable, both online and in land based casinos, I hit my first Royal Flush this week at 32Red Casino. It was the Aces & Faces Power Poker game where I had made several $5 bets and was dealt at 10, Jack and Ace of Clubs. I held those three cards and you don't have to guess what happened. You can check out the beautiful screenshot here. And the nicest thing about this is that it couldn't have happened to a better casino. This is definately a feather in the cap for 32Red. Congratulations!

And the winnings made it to my Neteller account before the birthday cheer (yes, it was Casinomeister's birthday this week) drifted off to la la land. Too bad Amazon.co.uk doesn't accept Neteller. Bummer. I would have taken care of my wish list here with my winnings. But many of you beat me to it. I want to thank everyone who spread the cheer on my birthday. Thanks. I am very grateful!!
CASINOMEISTER CAUTIONS
Last week I cautioned each and every one of you to avoid Futurebet Casinos for the time being. This stemmed from the complaints that have been surfacing from not only the players but frustrated licensees. I am extending this cautionary to Interactive Gaming Systems casinos as well. You may remember, it was IGS who allowed a nineteen year old college freshman to become a "licensee" of one of their casinos. She had no idea what she had got herself into and went bankrupt in a matter of months. IGS always maintained that they thoroughly screen their applicants, and she unfortunately slipped through the cracks.

The problem is that the relationship between Futurebet casinos and IGC is intermingled like a plate of speghetti. I received this from one of the managers at IGC
We have NOTHING to do with Futurebet and some of their licensees have switched over to us due to the problems they were having with them. Our platforms are similar because our code was developed by some of the same people that did theirs. We are now in the process of completely changing the look...we are completely independant from them and do not like to be associated with them in anyway.

Well to state that they have "NOTHING" to do with Futurebet is false. Here is a statement posted on a "Futurebet" powered casino:

Elite Casino is based in Curacao and is owned and operated by EC Entertainment. Gaming operations function under an Internet gaming license issued by the government of Curacao. The company works with a variety of leaders in the financial and technology sector to provide secure online transactions and the best quality systems and software.
And here is a statement posted on one of IGC's:
Island Joe's Casino is based in Curacao and is owned and operated by IJC Entertainment. Gaming operations function under an Internet gaming license issued by the government of Curacao. The company works with a variety of leaders in the financial and technology sector to provide secure online transactions and the best quality systems and software.

Notice any similarities? Also on their servers is the domain http://www.futurebetgaming.com which points to interactivegaming.com. They claimed they did this because the Futurebet sales people had registered a domain similar to theirs (http://igamingsystems.com/) to drive traffic intented for their site. Tit for tat I guess.

The manager gave me a list of twenty casinos that he claims are licensees of IGS's, yet there are 141 domains residing on their server, most are casino domain names. And there are image folders Interactive Gaming Systems with Futurebet logos. Some of their casinos (IGS's) sport an unauthorized Interactive Gaming Council's logo. This image is hosted at Interactive Gaming System's webserver, so it's not like they aren't aware of this.

Anyway, to make a very long story short, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it is a duck. My list of casinos to avoid stands.

THEVIRTUALBINGO GIVES "JOE" THE BOOT
Last week I was appoached by an elderly Bingo player who had difficulty understanding the payout procedures at http://thevirtualbingo.com and was verbally accosted by "Joe". "The man has throughly frightened me," she stated, and claimed that she was on Social Security disability and needed the $500 they owed her. Well this was escalated to Real Time Gaming (on my behalf) and it had a snowball effect on poor "Joe" who is no longer with Thevirtualbingo.com. Perhaps he can walk across the hall and get hired on at Prism Casino. Ha! Just kidding!
NOW FOR SOME BETTER NEWS
City Club Casino is the newest casino on the block at Casinomeister. Powered by Playtech (which by the way I really like), they've been online since July 2001 with nary a complaint. Try their fantastic multi-hand Video Poker, or some of the cool slots. I've even caught myself humming the tune to their Captain's Treasure slots while gardening. I guess I play that game too often.

Anyway, give them a warm welcome and open and account today! As a new player, you have a choice of a 100% match bonus of up to $100 or a 20% bonus up to $200.
Speaking of slots, I was blabbing so damn much about "Thunderstruck" last week, I forgot to mention "Couch Potato" slots. Amazing payouts can be made here. If you receive a "wild" symbol, it 5x your payout. If you receive two wild symbols it multiplies your win by 25x!! I hit a $750 win with two wild symbols and a bar symbol on a $1.50 spin! Only available on Viper powered casinos. Here are a few:
Spin Palace
Captain Cooks Casino
Crazy Vegas Casino
Platinum Play Casino
Lucky Nugget
Grand Hotel Casino
More casinos listed here of course.

3. This week's humor
Three women escaped from prison. One was a redhead, one a brunette, and one a blonde.

They ran for miles until they came upon an old barn where they decided to hide in the hayloft and rest. When they climbed up, they found three large gunnysacks and decided to climb into them for camouflage.

About an hour later the sheriff and his deputy came into the barn. The sheriff told his deputy to go up and check out the hayloft. When he got up there the sheriff asked him what he saw and the deputy yelled back, "Just three gunnysacks."

The sheriff told him to find out what was in them, so the deputy kicked the first sack, which had the redhead in it. She went, "Bow-wow", so the deputy told the sheriff there was a dog in it.

Then he kicked the sack with the brunette in it. She went, "Meow", so the deputy told the sheriff there was a cat in it.

Then he kicked the one with the blonde in it, and there was no sound at all. So he kicked it again, and finally the blonde said, "Potatoes."

I've been getting spammed by this outfit for a couple of months now. When I got the first spam I checked them out and did not get a warm fuzzy feeling from them. It all seemed way too good to be true. $25K for a plain old royal on A&F should be a huge red flag. I'd say either you'd never hit one or if you did, you'd never see the money. There would be some excuse or loophole used to void the win. I'd stay far away from this bunch.
So what's up with this? Casinos on the take? Fake watchdog site? Check it out here here.
