In this issue:
WORD FROM THE MEISTER
Evil Webmasters....

...beware. The infamous rogue pit at Casinomeister now has a new section reserved for the ethically challenged. Winbig busted out a content thief who ripped off Gamesandcasino.com and poker.com here. This "Evil Webmaster" was the first inducted to the "Evil Webmasters" section of our Rogue Pit. Content thievery is serious stuff - it's not only unethical but violates international copyright laws.

Most of these webmasters are either too lazy to write their own content, or they live in a country where this is condoned and they think nothing of it. How to counter this? Rogue 'em and list the affiliate programs that the guy is working with. As soon as the affiliate managers realize that their affiliate is ripping off others' content, I'm sure they'll shut down his account.

Red-bet.com is an affiliate of the following properties:
888.com
PokerRoomSchool
CanBet
VictorChandler

If you're an affiliate and have been victimized by one of these dickweed webmasters, post your findings in the Webmaster's Section of our forum and we'll get on it.

Does Social Bookmarking Work?? I thing so!!
Posted by garythescubaguy
I've used social bookmarking in my arsenal of link acquisition for years with success.

My advice was to knock out a 'supplemental' or 'indented' secondary listing that your competition has when they search for your keyword - especially if you are in the top 20. One extra position equates into sometimes double the traffic. In the top 10 in this (poker) market one position could mean tens of thousands.

CardSpike to Close

We are contacting you to confirm that Cardspike.com will be shutting down all operations effective May 31, 2009. Deposits will no longer be accepted into your account effective immediately...

The above has been posted in several forums. It was an email sent to players. The last sentence is just ridiculous. In other words "We are going to steal from every player that has less than $50 in their account."

THE ROLE OF AFFILIATES IN INTERNET GAMBLING

Affiliate program CEO to address Power 50 Summit

The CEO of Income Access, Nicky Senyard, will help senior online corporate executives to better understand the role and value of affiliate marketers when she leads a discussion on the subject at the upcoming Power 50 Summit, taking place from May 10- 12, 2009. The discussion will be one of several on key industry activities at the 2009 summit.

Income Access is an official event sponsor for Power 50, and Senyard will lead the discussion with Karim Wilkins of RakeTheRake.

Michael Hirst, eCOGRA chief, is the master of ceremonies and Summit Chairman will start things off on day one with two top names in the online gambling world PartyGaming's Jim Ryan and Ladbrokes' John O’ Reilly hosting the first panel. Managing director and vice-president of consumer and online services at Microsoft UK, Ashley Highfield will be the keynote speaker. Co-chief executive of Moneybookers Nikolai Riesenkampff, and CEO of CrytoLogic Brian Hadfield will try to straighten out the wavy line between operators and suppliers.

Over the three days of Power 50, the industry's most influential figures will join in a range of live debates and presentations.

"I am delighted and honoured to be asked to share our knowledge and experience at Income Access with the other members of the iGaming industry at Power 50," said Senyard. "We have always emphasized the importance of relationships at Income Access, and attributed much of our success to long-term partnerships. Our affiliate management team maintains very close contact with both partners and affiliates, and works very hard to make sure that both parties are up-to-date on all aspects of their program and the industry at large."

Other discussion leaders and speakers at the Power 50 event include Andrew Smith, chief economist at KPMG; Ashley Highfield of Microsoft UK; Bwin CEO Manfred Bodner; Partygaming CEO Jim Ryan; Ladbrokes remote betting head John O'Reilly; Henry Birch of William Hill; Dragonfish chief Gabi Campos; and Nikolai Riesenkampff co-CEO of Moneybookers. On the final day Net Entertainment and Evolution Gaming CEOs Johan Ohman and Jens von Bahr will be joined by Michael Altrichter of Paysafecard.com.

Senyard heads an Income Access team that has forged partnerships with over 80 operators and 17 000 affiliates.

The Power 50 Summit is organised by eGaming Review Magazine and will be hosted at the South Lodge Hotel in West Sussex, UK. It is an invitation-only event that takes place under Chatham House rules.
