Where is Harry

I see him on the Video slots tourney Monday afternoon.

I was right on his tell and told him so.

He didn't reply, maybe he didn't notice my comment or me calling him Harold!

He is very helpful and also a lot of people on here are very helpful as well, which I am very thankful for. :)

He will read this thread and think, what the hell is going on, can't even disappear for a few days

Harry is a true VIP here. He's occasionally very busy with his free-lancer can-thingy stuff and doesn't post several days.
I hope he will be back soon.

Harry is altruistic , it's always ready to help everyone in the forum, and it's also very competent ,
make a great support to forum.
I hope everything goes well and come back soon to post.
Cheers.

don't you dare Harry.jpg

Unacceptable! I hope this is temporary mate. We all get a difference of opinion from time to time, a lot gets lost in text-speak. You come across as a top fella and are highly valued around here with your balanced and insightful views, like some sort of Grand Maester.

I hope to see you strut your stuff around here soon or else I'll unleash every joke I know on these forums. Nobody wants to see that. Think of your brothers and sisters!:eek::eek:

You are one of the good guys Harry, would be a real shame to lose you from the public forum. I also have missed reading your posts, you are a true playah!

Please elaborate!

Thanks again for the kind words, assures me I have done a few things right.

However, the reasons to stop or at least to take a few weeks break from being an active member are:

1. Firstly and foremost, I stand by my words that 32RED is acting irresponsibly in regards to “Responsible Gaming”.

2. With 47, nearly 48, I am too old to be publicly insulted, ridiculed, belittled and called a liar and that for a very valid contribution.

Examples:

i. Insult

Quote Mark:
Finally (sorry for the long post), the video showing the steps to live chat in the Viper software highlighted a rather unfriendly player journey which has also been addressed. Thank you for bringing that to our attention.

Pretending to listen and care, announcing changes whereas nothing is being done is an insult to all readers of this forum, not just me. To me, personally, lying is an absolute insult. In fact it is also utter arrogance.

ii. Ridicule, Belittle

Quote Bryan:
Since you have been a member, you have had a bee in your bonnet concerning 32Red

Ridicule and belittle by using a sarcastic metaphor.
In fact, I have equally praised them as I have been criticising them, I’ll happily point to the respective posts.

Quote Bryan:
Why do you care really if they do or not since you are not in the UK?

Maybe because I am a caring person.

3. One of the most respected members of CM, VVM, suggested on the very first page of the said thread that 32RED might be in violation of the UKGC regulations.

Yet, it is all pinned on me of having an agenda!!!

4. One CM member publicly announced that he reported his own post to bring it to the attention of Bryan and ask for his input. No public chastising happened.

Yet, when I merely suggest that I hoped for a statement from his side it is considered: “well you've just taken it up another notch of "personal agenda." (Quote Bryan)

5. A casino rep deserves more respect than players/forum members!!!” (Quote maxd)

Does this mean that CM is applying double standards and players are considered second class human beings, not worthy of the same respect??? Posting an untrue statement, which senior and CAG members (Deeplay, Nate, Dunover, jetset) pointed out as well, yet we have to show a rep more respect than to players? The very same players that pay the wages of the rep!!!

FYI, casino reps are active on CM and other forums NOT “at the grace of their employer” (Quote maxd) but because this activity is a marketing campaign that generates positive cash flow and a favorable public image. That they do something special for CM members is simply not true, they are just doing their job, be it marketing or customer service. What is true though is that some do it better than others (e.g. CM Special Promotions, responding to PM’s late evenings and weekends etc.) but none would happen were it not profitable for the casino.

6. I will neither support nor give my voice to a forum, nor promote a casino to any other players or friends, that is not firm on “Responsible Gaming”

Without us, THE PLAYERS, there would be NO 32RED and NO CM, yet we are told to stay “schtumm” and accept whatever is thrown at us.

We are seen as very capable of handing over the last penny to casinos yet not capable enough to use self-controlled automated RG features, which took more than a decade to force onto casino operators. In contrary, the casino thinks it needs to keep the control over those.

7. I went to the expense to pay a lawyer specialized in contract law to have a look at the information at hand. His verdict (he’s not a gambler, nor does he know 32RED, hence completely unprejudiced result):

a. Very poor and weak written regulations (he actually asked whether the casino operators have co-written these)
b. Full of loopholes that can be exploited
c. 32RED is within the regulations regarding TAB
d. Debatable whether they are regarding SE, it all hinges on one sentence

The very same lawyer went through this text to make sure I am not flaming, using derogatory language, making libelous claims etc.

Happy Spinning
Harry :)

"Bee in the Bonnet" is not a belittling statement. A bonnet is like a hat, and when you have a bee buzzing around inside, you start freaking out. :p

Me thinks you need to grow some thicker skin if you don't like it when people disagree with your opinion. I don't really see that people were being insulting towards you. It's a forum with people from all walks of life and different perspectives. If we were sitting around drinking beers, it would make the conversations more easily understandable.

I think one problem is that you seem to be latched on to a love/hate with 32Red. Many of us perceive this. There are a number of threads where you received consultations from me and Max to chill a bit. So when 32Red pops up and you're part of the conversation, I automatically take things with a grain of salt. And I can understand your alarm when you see a casino that at first goes up and beyond the normal call of duty and then retracts a function like the SE choice. But this does not make them bad. And they are not breaching their compliance towards the UKGC.

My main job here is to maintain order and to ensure that if people are complaining about something, that the complaints are balanced and fair. If there are serious complaints (non-payments, cheating software, etc.,) then I'll take action. If it's a complaint about a policy that the casino has chosen to undertake, then I'll take a look at it and decide what I want to do about it e.g. seeing if their policy goes against their licensor's rules, guidelines or regulations. With 32Red, they do not violate the UKGC's regulations. You or I may not like it, but that's how it is. And there are loads of casinos that don't even have something like this set up. So what's the big deal?

It's rare that we will all agree on the same thing. I have had disagreements with some of my closest friends, and this doesn't make us stop speaking to one another. There are a number of forum members that disagree with me on a number of things, and we agree to disagree. I think this is one of these moments.
