This must be new and quite possibly forced on them due to regulations but when the "reality check" comes up now and you choose to "continue" the game you are on reloads (and i don't know where the spin you were on goes to, as i just had 2 scatters on DOA on 1st 3 reels (only 3 reels had dropped , it pauses when the notification comes up and when i pressed continue the game shown on reload was a completely different one!).
Don't like the reload as always get the feeling that the "winning" session i am experiencing has gone forever:mad::mad:

That would really annoy me. I haven't seen that pop up only the other annoying one about,"you have been playing for an hour" is that the same thing?

I really dislike popups about anything while I am in the middle of a game.

Most other sites have the reality check but this is the first time i have seen it force the reload. Pm'd Philip maybe they can look at it

Which actually are the very reason they exist :)
Its purpose is to wake you up so you're not doing anything in the heat of the moment. It's easy to forget yourself when playing.

I hate them too :D

I don't care about the popup sarah (actually quite useful when using a bonus as it shows you the amount wagered) but the reload is a problem for me anyway

I just replied to mina.
One reason I don't play at MrGreen is for that reason of game reloading when the popup appear.

Hello everyone.

Thank you for reporting this to us.

We have an update scheduled for this afternoon which should change the behaviour of the message, and not cause a reload of the game.

Best regards,
Daniel.

When I was playing JATB mobile at VS yesterday it had forced a session time thing on the screen for the duration of play. Irritated the hell out of me but I was winning.

Rizk seems to log me out every hour to two hours and I've repoted it as a fault as tech support and Captain Rizk don't seem to be aware of it therefore doesn't sound like intentional behaviour but I suspect its linked to the recent changes.

Coupled with the 100 autoplay limit and having to set a loss limit on every session, these things are starting to really get on my tits.

We're all grown ups and responsible for ourselves. There are many existing checks and balances for problem gamblers.

I'm fuming with UKGC for interfering to the extent they are now.

If I ran a casino I would be too as its definitely going to put people off and cost them revenue.

Out of interest, were any players here consulted by UKGC on this?

Is one of my questions to them as part of my FOIA request which is due a response this week.

Once I have that I'll share and will then start challenging them. Bloody nanny state.

Don't like the sound of this at all. I play a fair bit at VS and have yet to experience this, but I have had the "continue or end" pop up many times elsewhere and I noticed that they normally appear when you stop the auto play function after a long period of time, normally around an hour, but the slot I'm playing never re-loads.

Yes, had this a few time yesterday. Very annoying that the game reloads.

But the good thing is that it is being addressed by Videoslots.

I appreciate more than anyone that it is easy to get carried away in the moment, so if these enforced notifications serve any use at all that can only be welcomed.

On the flipside, there are responsible gamblers who are in control and feel that this has been bestowed upon them without their consent, and that its main purpose is to aggrevate the player and break off their session. Nothing worse than being on a good run and having to reload the entire game, often with noticeable differences.

And as for those sites that had already implemented the mandatory 'mid-session reload', you'd find that the moment they pulled that stunt they lost me on the spot as a customer. The way this hand-holding mandate is going we will have to have another adult supervising our play in the room with us, mark my words!

I saw this yesterday and had no choice but to turn it on. I imagine it has been forced on VS by uk Regulations. I detest such things but do know they can be of help to some. So an option to disable it would have been good for people like me who can gamble responsibly. But if its not going to re-load the games then I can live with that. Still love video slots even though had not had a cash out in god knows how long

Yes, this only applies for UK market. You can set the message to appear between 15 - 120 mins currently. Default is 60 mins. This is a requriement from the UKGC from 1st May 2016.

Here is an example of the invasive on screen timer.

Apart from the fact I don't welcome it, seems to slow the game down the more spins you play.

Yesterday in JATB I kept seeing a black screen start to appear. This behaviour did not exist prior to this "functionality". As a result I can only conclude it is a bug.

This version isn't deployed everywhere and until it is, I will make my deposits on sites which haven't done this.

I'm not entirely sure the extent of the rules the repulsive UKGC are forcing on operators and what they mean for players but it would be good if someone could summarise so we know just how crippled our game play will end up.

For me, this stuff is making me consider quitting playing. So I'd like to say a great big FUCK YOU to the UKGC.

Unfortunately this is out of the operators control. Everyone has to follow the regulation set by the UKGC. I would recommend you send your complaint to them as that is the only thing that could work, if enough players give their feedback. Any operator that is not following the regulation is in breach of their licence, some operators has got extended time to arrange it.

Believe me, I'm going to. I want to understand the decision making process around this so have requested info from the UKGC and intend to take them on. I just hope that some others in here will join my campaign wh n I start it off.

I don't blame the operators but at the same time, I'm gonna play where I get the most enjoyment without complying with rules i don't agree with and had no say in.

I strongly resent being dictated to by a government body who think they can do what they like.

Well, that's what our governments and authorities love to implement, the dreaded 'One size fits all'. Nobody cares about one individual's self-control in contrast to an erratic problem gambler.

The art of debate and being different is long gone, as evidenced by social media. It basically comes down to group divisions, and should anyone have a different outlook they are immediately shot down by said group.

Movements and protests are dead, replaced by a mob mentality. Same applies to governments, they deem how you can enjoy your vices without any prior feedback or reason as to why. So it seems Democracy has actually morphed into Communism. Excellent!

So as much as I resent these changes and the self- righteous bureaucrats that made them, complaining to them about it will make zero difference.

I do applaud your stance on this but I think you'll have more success pissing into the wind :(

Very succinct and reflects my feeling entirely.

That said, I'm coming to give them a good run for their money.

I intend tango through the documentation they send me forensically. I'm going to review every decision against every framework.

I'll make repeated requests for further info if necessary and will involve my MP and the DCMS.

I may not win, but I'll make them justify every decision and ultimately force through meabingful consultation on every future change they try to make.

They'll rue the day they ever interfered in my hobby!

Cool to see you stick to your principles. If you get anything going I'm sure you'll have a decent contingent here on CM backing your cause.

Bear in mind that if you bug them enough that they may 'flick the switch' and shoot your RTP through the roof as a distraction. Failing that, look out for any horse's heads at the end of your bed tomorrow, there's always that

Haha.

I think it is the failing of a regulator to forget who they ultimately work for and that the purpose they serve isn't to do things for the sake of it but to provide the public with confidence and protection not invasive and unnecessary rules and regulations.

My feeling is that the implications of these changes are only just starting to be felt. Suspect that as time goes on, people will increasingly get frustrated.

I also think that casinos are understandably reluctant to comment on regulatory activity for obvious reasons but can't possibly approve of the overbearing behaviour of UKGC.

Since WMS has taken away the auto spin function from all of their slots, I have been spin/stopping which effectively is resulting in losing the money quicker than had I been given the option to auto spin.

Never mind, there is only so much money I can afford to lose, so a month break it is.

This new rule is, for me, meaning less play time.

Well that blows for sure. Many lowrollers don't expect great wins but to have decent playtime. Now our sessions are being sped up inadvertently.

Slot spins are getting faster, we're being made to play faster, anyone would think the UKCG are in cahoots with casinos in making us part with our money as efficiently as possible. Removing / severely prohibiting the autoplay function is not responsible gambling, it's a pisstake also.

Pretty sure in five years we'll have the option of setting up direct debits to the UKCG themselves, say £20 per month, but we don't get to gamble with it. Instead, we get 'treated' to links of Youtube videos of your chosen slot without actually winning any money. Plus, the government will use our funds to improve their service and make gambling EVEN BETTER!
