Whine and Moan Birthday "present" from Guts - does anybody deserve it??

....so it was my birthday and many nice casinos sent me greeting cards, gifts and bonuses. Nice!... I didn't get anything from Guts, but it's OK - after all, they are hardly my favourite place to play and I don't remember them being generous before. Since it was late at night with the party over, I needed to kill some time before going to bed: I deposited $10 and lost. Deposited another $15 and lost. Deposited $20 more and finally had a bonus round, ending with about $65. I withdrew the funds and went to sleep, only to find out the next day that this ridiculously small withdrawal was rejected. Well, the last time it happened they claimed they had had some technical issue, so I decided not to make a fuss and simply repeated the withdrawal routine. The payment was rejected again. I asked what's up and was told that "our payments department cancelled your withdrawal as you did not play the funds at least 1 time". My own funds? Bonus-free, after several lost deposits and sufficient gameplay?? On my birthday, to top it all?? Well, I don't really care about this amount - they can keep it for all I care, but I am seriously annoyed this time. I don't any longer believe all their (c)rap about caring for their players and valuing their high-rollers (I normally deposit in terms of hundreds, if not thousands, with this case being a rare exception - which makes it all the more alarming and unpleasant). Bye-bye, Guts. Enjoy my 65 bucks... and please NEVER email me again.

Hmmmm that is not the casino I know.
Before they decided to boot Irish players I used to play and deposit there a lot.

I also think most casino's have a 1x play through of all your deposits to discourage money laundring I suppose.
So I think that is not a weird thing at all.

Maybe you only need to wager another 5 bucks to get to that 1x WR.
And then I am sure you are free to WD the remainder of the amount.

The 1x roll-over is justified as the casino needs to cover costs associated with deposits/withdrawals.

If players were allowed to deposit and withdraw without any roll-over requirements the casino would lose money.

Seems maybe slightly harsh, forgive me if i'm wrong but its like you are looking at it as though you deposited $45, instead of making 3 seperate deposits. The last deposit being $20, which at some point you got a bonus round, upto which point you already had begun to wager the required 1xdeposit rule (standard anti-money laundering procedure anywhere). and decided to withdraw 65.
Assuming that you didn't get it in the very first couple of spins you barely have anything left to wager, no? Why not take on dead or alive with that last few bucks you have to wager, if you do shit it may cost you 5 bucks, *quite possibly less, or you may hit a big one and thank your lucky stars that withdrawal never went through.
The CS withdrawal authorizing processor dude is just looking at another withdrawal request, and how much of that $20 deposit has been wagered.There is nothing more that particular agent should be looking for unless he wants to make everyone elses withdrawals wait.

My heart does go out to you though in regards to the birthday bonus gifts from casinos in general this year, mine were very far from fruitful.

I don't see it as being justified at all, if i deposit £100 and win £200 in my first couple of spins i should be able to withdraw it all and not have to play off another 80 or 90 quid. Seeing as most deposits are losses the casino wouldn't be losing money it is just greed to make the player lose more.

I would close my account with them.

It doesn't matter how well loved Guts are, when it comes to using your own funds you can do what the hell you want, this is not for them to dictate. These are not bonus funds, end of. I don't particularly care for their costs incurred for processing fees, which is a bit cheeky considering what they already deem necessary in regards to deposit AND withdrawal fees.

I hope this isn't the next step casinos will take as it is like tying your real funds up as a bonus and not acceptable. If anything, there is nothing stopping you depositing a hundred times over the course of the day and withdrawing the same number of times. It's the player's money, if casinos don't quite like it they can just f*ck off

Not to derail but you reminded me - my birthday was the 24th and one of the casinos I have deposited $1000's at (and just had a $5000 cashout) gave me a $10 birthday chip with 60x playthrough and 5x max cash out.

The licensing bodies force the casinos to have this kind of term AFAIK. So they would be legally forced to have such a term in place.

All the casinos have to do is send money back to the the same place it came from so you can't put money in from, say, neteller and then withdraw to a card or anywhere that hasn't been used to deposit. Also if you deposited multi times a day, only played a small amount on each deposit then withdrew the funds you would be stopped and further checks done but if you are depositing and losing all the deposit before depositing more then you should be able to withdraw any winnings whenever you want and not have each single deposit tied up to any wagering.

So, your argument is; other people will cover your costs?
I used to think like that as well, but if the casino asks me to "pay my own way" I don't see any argument against.
