Hi. I have just won in the BetVoyager.com tournament, got 31 place and EUR 200: D. Casino terms say that I have to post somewhere about it to prove that I am a real person winning real money, so here I am.: D:

That sounds very fishy/shilly.

Which part is causing him to get banned?
There really was a tournament, and there were more winning places than entered. I placed as well and won 150 euro.
I even got some other people to sign up, and they placed as well.

The part is that BetVoyager is encouraging players to "Shill" on the forum - the posts are basically just a free advert for the casino - the player has NO interest in becoming an active member on the forum.

Here's the player who was banned yesterday, and Bryan's reaction: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/betvoyager-forum-spam-tournament-win.72880/?t=72880

I'm very disappointed to see BV still doing this (they've been doing it for many years), as otherwise they seem like a very good operator. :(

Do you think in the future as the gaming industry gets more competitive there may be casinos which offer only zero edge games ? And to make their money they can charge somehow like by time played or by subscription etc .. or like this "tax" on winnings seems a reasonable option also . Even just a 5% fee to withdraw ?
Similar to betfair who came into a market of traditional bookmakers offering odds which contained an edge for the bookmaker and instead betfair offered a market where punters could set and take odds and they charged a commission

Well, you can blame Betvoyager for having your account permanently banned at Casinomeister. What you are posting is spam - you know it - they know it. And this is an unethical form of advertising.

The real problem is that they are blackmailing players because if they don't post, their prize is confiscated. It's not much different to a casino confiscating a withdrawal as far as the player is concerned, and players have to jump through much harder hoops to get paid a withdrawal than merely posting "I won......" on a random forum of their choosing.

Banning such pseudo members won't solve the problem because they are "one post wonders" anyway, and they can just sign up again the next time they need to "verify" a prize.

Now, betvoyager could create their own forum for this, so it's pretty clear that they DO have an ulterior motive, spam marketing for the tournaments, otherwise they would long since have created their own member forum. So, they certainly deserve a rogueing for this unethical practice, maybe it will be a negative marketing PR hit that outweighs what they gain from all the spam posts from tournament winners.

Is this stated anywhere on their website?

BetVoyager Tournaments

BetVoyager opens a series of tournaments with unprecedented conditions and a growing prize fund. Throughout the year players can enjoy mind-blowing prizes and adrenaline-boosting competitions. Anyone can be a winner, so hurry up and register in the upcoming Goldfish Bonanza Tournament with a €30,000 prize fund! Do not miss this unique opportunity!

To dismiss any doubts which players may have, the winnings can only be received upon one condition: the winners must make a publication regarding their win in the BetVoyager tournament.

The links to all the publications will be available on BetVoyager site.

If you look here hxxtps://www.betvoyager.com/tournaments/posts/ you can see all the winning posts and which forum they appear on, including one of the CM spammers, gyulas, who posted here, and then had the post altered and was banned for spamming.

The tournament rules are a little more specific....

How to receive tournament winnings

The amount of winnings is credited to the player's account strictly after he has made a publication regarding his win in the tournament on any gambling-related website (forum, blog etc). A player may use one of the posts templates, which can be found on the posts page or use his own text.

In essence, "make a publication" means "spam a forum with news of your win". Of course "may only be received" is the same as "will be confiscated if you don't" as far as players are concerned.

What players have to do to receive their prize is very simple indeed, sign up to somewhere where they can write a post about their win and then copy & paste a link to their post and give it to betvoyager. Presumably, they then check the link and award the prize.

It does not specify any preference as to which forum should be used, other than it being "gambling related", so only a few are choosing Casinomeister. The links can be checked without needing a betvoyager account, and a variety of forums are getting these posts.

Perhaps by taking robust action by banning those who do this here the word will get around the Betvoyager community to try a more receptive forum instead, one where you would be able to post several prize claims without having to sign up afresh each time as would be the case here.

Since Betvoyager staff are presumably verifying these posts before dishing out the prizes, you could use this to send them a direct message by editing the actual spam post so that it is made clear to the betvoyager staff doing the vetting that this is not tolerated, and they will be in your pit very shortly. They may not bother reading the rest of the thread and your eventual warning, and probably expect that some forum admins might edit such claim posts to remove links and advertising. However, so long as it's up long enough to verify a prize claim, neither player nor Betvoyager cares what happens to the post afterwards.

omg! ...some kind of activities should be genuine instead to have a "spam rule" in order to be paid out!
this competitive casino world is becoming crazy...

I took a quick look at the winners lists and there so say posts, Some of the affiliate sites are loving it, Promoting bad behavior and even slamming in a aff link in the winner's post,

Love ya work Casinomeister, I have seen some other shill story and crack me up!

Hi,

I love ya work Casinomeister, I have seen some other shill story and your funny words surely did crack me up. Nice to see side of humour though. Good job glad you put them in a sinbin, such a silly idea to spam and get themselves ban straight away. Darwin award definitely for sure!

In that case, these are the fora the players should be using to brag about their win, and Betvoyager could help by providing a list of fora where the admins have decided to permit such behaviour, probably because by shoving their own affiliate link into the boast, they will benefit along with Betvoyager.

That was my exact thoughts, Someone mentioned that there was links to sites, Unsure if ment after the link or a links to sites where to put the win, I thought its naughty if puting link to meister as to where to post, I couldn't find it or be asked to look,

It would benefit the aff sites but I take it BV are not bothered where there stuck, as the more the merrier in there eyes, Not all members are as clued up as some and see the post and see $ signs.

BV look at it like would they prefer 100 posts split across 10 sites or 100 posts split at 20 sites, 20 sites are better than 10, They do not think about players, Just how many they can get on there sites,

Its rouge in a lot of ways,

Spamming forums
Holding people to ransom with wins

But saying that, come to think of it there are plenty of sites that say you must be willing to allow them to publish your win, Most are bingo sites but a good few casino's as well, I mean its different than having to spam forums but is it necessary to have to leak your details if you get a good hit?

I saw quite a few links to a Russian poker site, so I expect they get away with it by posting in English, and the mods can't tell whether it's spam or just someone who doesn't speak Russian and assumes that most Russians can understand English.

I also suspect that Betvoyager don't want all the posts on a small number of receptive fora, they want them distributed as widely as possible, so they deliberately leave it at "any gambling related forum or blog", rather than offering a list of fora, where they have cut a deal with the admin to allow such posts. After all, why don't Betvoyager have their own forum and have players publicise their wins on that. I would presume this would have zero use for marketing as it would be a forum populated by Betvoyager players, not somewhere where the post might draw in new players.
