Do you like automatic bonuses? In other words, would you rather ask for an SUB, or would you like to have it automatically placed into your account? Some members don't like ot request bonuses and feel it's a bother. Some members want to sign up and decide for themselves if they want it or not. Me? I feel it's a method of entrapment and should not be allowed.

What say you?

Well, I want it half and half lol.
There should be an accept/decline button.
I don't want it added without consent, but at the same time, I don't want to have to chase support for it either.

Let me dep, and let there be a button/pop-up 'would you like to activate your sign-up bonus? Yes/No'

Agreed. Most decent sites have a tick box to accept it at deposit stage. I don't want it foisted upon me. You can rest assured that if foisted upon you, it will be an EV- which favours the casino.....

There should be an option when you deposit whether you wish or not wish to take the bonus.

I would object for it to be forced on you and you have to chase support to cancel it. That would put me right off and would result in no more play time at the casino.

Detest anything being dropped in my accounts - and worse still mid play which granted does not happen at the places I play at now.

It should at the very least have an option to accept or deny. If its a straight comp based on play and your given the heads up before
hand sure - but to just drop it in - no thanks.

But I dont play many bonus offers these days anyway - and last one I took again busted out when I could have been ahead.

Bad all round.

Bonuses should always be opt-in only. But if opted-in, they should be auto credited without the need to chase support to add them. It's not hard to add a check box to deposit page, or use something to that effect (like 32 Red DOTD, which is a good way to opt-in).

One thing I hate is the "sign up packages" which some casinos offer. If you take a SUB, then you're required to use one of two (usually subpar) bonuses before you would be eligible to other promotions.

Agreed. I wonder how much profit the bogus bonuses actually make casinos these days? Feels very much to me like the tables have been turned on the player.

Can't stand automatically added bonus it has to be mentioned somewhere they are going to add them. If I want a bonus I'll ask for one!

I agree with most here. I like the option of taking a bonus in the format of clicking on it or not if I don't feel like it.

I basically agree with what dionysus stated in the first post:

A Bonus should never be imposed automatically, unless maybe it's Free Spins for a deposit, that have NO impact on the balance, i.e you can play them later, but generally i think a pop up and/or check box is the responsible and player friendly way:thumbsup:

I also think that the few Casino's still out there that do impose a Bonus on the first or whatever deposit, should at least have the decency to inform their players with a pop up too, something like "click here to agree to the T&C that are attached to the Bonus you will automatically receive on your deposit"...but i guess that's a far stretch.

In contrast, i must admit that if i DO tick a checkbox or use a code to receive a Bonus, and that then doesn't work, i am generally disappointed, to say the least:p

In most of my regular Casino;s this would not present a real issue, as there it's often quickly fixed by support, but imagine your average joe Casino, but admittedly also a few where i play, that don't offer the stated 24/7 support, which could turn a prospect of a fun nightly session, into a long waiting game instead.

For me this would definitely be the best way!

I agree NO sign up bonus,s or a button to make this my idea?Peace Out! Out Of The Mist! shewoff

Freespins and no deposit bonuses is okay to get automatically but yes i agree with that in the registration form should be choices to select if u want deposit bonus or not..

i would like to choose amount

Automatically credited bonus's are a pain , i have often had to ask or them to be removed ...somewhere like captain cooks might give 125% which leaves you with a crazy amount of playthru ...in an ideal world i would like to have the opp to choose the percentage so that i leave myself with a decent chance of clearing wagering ...but then that probably wouldnt suit the casino so its opt in /opt out i guess, as for free spins ..whats the point of 10p spins ...i hate them or usually ignore them. Give me one high value spin ...would much prefer that (or the Rizk wheel ...which i thought was excellent )

There is a few reasons why an auto bonus is not a good idea, If you did not want one and made a spin before realising than than you will be lucky to get it took of, Another reason is when there auto than your automatic opted in for other promo / bonus so even if you go to help and asked for a bonus to be taken off, Unless you asked to be opted out of all promo's, but this could easy slip your mind, Next thing deposit a good amount of cash for a stupid small bonus added and than tied in,

Than take in to account live help are not always available to take the bonus off, A simple tick box should is all it takes,

Adding a auto bonus is just wrong unless of course there are no rules but if that was the case than I am pretty sure they would not be adding them automatic

Yes, also agree I like have the option (tick/code or $$ vs FS whatever) but then again, I am ok with an auto-add if I am fully aware of it before signing up-if I like the T&Cs etc as that is often a factor in my decision to deposit or join so I would like to enjoy the offer immediately as opposed to the next day or "Email/Talk to Live Chat to redeem.." (Frustrating if Live Chat is offline)

I also am not a fan of casinos that phone up and try to sell you the bonus within minutes/hours of joining-for me there is a good chance I was going to redeem an offer if I have signed up. It always sounds so fake, the operator talks as if you're the getting a good or exclusive 'just for you' deal when the offer is exactly the same as what I just read online. Call me if it's truly something extra because I am a valued member otherwise an email with a link is sufficient. AND! Emails NEED to have the "*T&Cs apply" clearly stated and not in tiny print at the bottom where it looks like all the web mumbo jumbo noone ever reads word for word as well as have easy access/links to view them.

Personally I don't like automatic bonuses, it's a hassle to have to have them removed. Some casinos (like Fortune Lounge) don't put in the bonus right away either, it can take like 1/2 an hour so if you're playing and then the bonus gets put in and you make a spin before realizing, then you're stuck with it.
