It does always seem to be a Swede doesn't it, although the last time one of our players won it, it was a Belgian player back in January.

When you think that the only brands who offer MFD are Unibet Group, Betsson Group, PAF and Leo Vegas - all quite Scandinavian focused brands - the likelihood of the player being from that area is quite high!

None of the big UK focused brands have the game for example, a large portion of our players are Swedish so it's no shock to us :)

some days ago someone from sweden won a jackpot at Leovegas playing mobile the Mr. Holmes & the stolen stones slot and he also played in SEK.
so it might be possible that the software prefer SEK currency to pay out a jackpot ?

why is there never a winner from lets say estonia, hungary, czech, poland and all these countries are allowed to play these slots.

Hmm.
Would you be able to post some statistics? Like what percent of your players are Scandinavian? That would help to dispel my misconceptions (wrong implementation of currency converting which would prefer SEK and NOK over EUR or USD).

Over half of our players come from Scandinavia - this year we've had two millionaires made from this game, one Belgian and one Swedish - so it balances itself out :)

If the winning proportion between Scandinavia and the rest of the world was the same at all NetEnt casinos (which includes other casinos where the Scandinavian players share less than at your casino) I would need to find another conspiration theory. But the ratio is about 7:1 favouring Scandinavia.

Not only a sweed Dunover but I am sure Maria has had a few JP winners there,

I thought the kitty was standing at near 6 mill ? If it was that is some serious change lost in translation,

Also I did not no that uni bet was a sister to Maria?

For a long time I have been thinking about doing a thread on this exact question.

Scandaniavia population vs rest of Europe/world population.

For example total scandanavian population = 26m

Population of Germany, UK, Canada and Australia alone = 206m.

If we assume the entire scandanavian population are gamblers and only 10% of Germany, UK, Canada and Australia, then it should be around 60-40% Jackpots in favour of scandanavia.

That is very loosely put, but I was going to go into more depth had I made a thread.

But I don't want to come across as a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist

EDIT: Russia population = 144m and they were left out

What does it matter how high the population of certain countries is? The only important thing is how many among all players playing those jackpot games are Scandinavians, and given that many casinos seem to have a high percentage of Scandinavians as players, plus it's possible jackpot games are way more popular there, it seems fitting that they keep winning them. They likely just spend way more overall playing those slots than others. Not that I wouldn't mind a little "shift" in this trend, so to speak :D
