Neteller problems from the U.K

I've tried to deposit at two casinos tonight using Neteller (BestCasino and iNetbet). I got an error message at both saying that the Neteller payment was blocked due to my location.

Anyone else in the U.K (or elsewhere) having this problem today?

Cheers

Apparently Neteller is blocking payments to non-UK licensed casinos...there's been a few discussions about it here lately....

Here's one:

Yes, I finally got it confirmed by Neteller after several attempts. But they STILL have not answered my latest e-mails. :sob:
It almost seems like they're trying to keep this quiet - though why on earth they would do that is a totally mystery to me :what:

They are blocking ALL transactions between UK Citizens and any gaming companies which are NOT UK licensed.

This is a real pain in the arse for me, since I used Neteller at nearly all of the first 200 casinos I joined, as it is a very good way to keep my gambling money separate from my main bank account.

By keeping it quiet, it's just going to give UK players the impression that Neteller is getting bogged down in technical issues that they just can't seem to fix. In the meantime, the casinos will be advising their UK players to try an alternative deposit method. This could see people moving away from Neteller in the belief that the service is going dramatically down hill with no fix in sight. Even non UK players reading the stories and the lack of a coherent explanation for the problems may decide it's time to jump ship from Neteller if a better alternative is on offer.

I am sure many UK players don't understand what all these changes are about, and expect that if the casino says it's "business as usual" for their UK players, it should also be "business as usual" for whatever deposit methods they have been using.

Maybe this is an experiment, rather than something they have been told to do, and they are currently running trials, but don't want to say anything in case these trials prove that they can't operate an effective blocking system without an unacceptable negative down side. If it works, they will probably publish a formal policy statement, followed by an update to the terms of use for UK customers specifying this policy.
