Last year I started out with gambling when I turned 18 and that was definitely not a good decision for me. I always had this typical gambling problem when I won a great amount of money I wanted more and more but like you expect in the most cases it just doesnt work.
I had this feeling of quitting gambling several times and I always experienced it on a big loosing streak . At this time I already lost about 1000 Euros what I've never wanted to accept really. For me gambling wasnt really about fun it was always about getting money.

Even though the luck dropped in last week and I won about 2,2 k on Dead or Alive what caused to me that I need to rethink this whole situation. This was my biggest hit in my 'one year gambling carrer' and I finally won more money that I've spent on this whole stuff. So why I should not end it here? Maybe I could win even more? Yes that could be but when I think of this horrible feeling when I am on a loosing streak and I am depositing more to get out of this hole... No thanks I definitely dont want to experience that anymore! I am aware of it that this feeling is going to come back no matter what happens.

It feels great to end it this whole up with a winning streak instead of a big financial problem:)

Finally I just want to thank you for this amazing community you built here and gambling wouldnt be as exciting as it is with this forum :p

AND Goooooooooooooodbye...

It's a great timing to quit when you are actually up. You can always say to yourself: "I am one of a view that are up on a losing game"
The longer you don't play the more likely you stay away. Don't visit this forum, let alone the screenshot subforum and close down your forum account. It's sad to let you go but it's better for you personally and your future.

Good luck in your life.

I think it shows a great deal of maturity on your part size55 to admit your problem, I salute your honesty and bravery to call it a day. I recently thought to myself how fortunate I've been to 'discover the joys' of gambling later than I did, round about 34 or so.

I can't imagine how my life could have gone if I started gambling at your age. I imagine not so well, I would have spent a large part of my income on slots for sure. And if I had hit a £2k+ win on DOA I probably would have just gambled it away.

So I commend your decision to quit and hope you can find something better in your life, well done to you buddy

I also commend your decision to stop gambling before it becomes a problem in your life. Most people don't realize that they have a problem until a lot of damage has been done. I wish you the best of luck size55:thumbsup:

What not so?You will tell that I am not right? Gambling dependence is comparable to drug addiction.
Such posts are similar to self-deception.
IMHO;)
Those who stop playing really, simply silently leave.

The OP posted in the quit gambling section of this forum as many others before him have before. These posts are a way for a member to say goodbye to the forum. I don't think that these posts are self deceptive in any way and actually may help other gamblers to see that they might have a problem. In any case size55 just said he wanted to quit before it became a problem which means he is not a gambling addict yet and got out in time.

On an end note many people beat drug addiction and gambling addiction successfully with the proper help.

yes, he deserves our support, he's a youngun.
and whether he succeeds or fails, just like many who try.... we are not here to judge, we know its hard.

The courage to declare you are done.

I agree with Osulle. He was taking the opportunity to say good bye. I wish you well sir! I too declared I quit and admitted gambling had become a problem. It is the first part of staying sober (not gambling) I am one of those that quit because I had a problem controlling myself. I play facebook games instead, I belong to forums and enjoy the gaming. I still enjoy reading here and am following with interest what the USA is doing re online gambling. I self excluded from casinos locally for good measure many years ago but I recently went back with my friend and found the new games boring. Thank goodness lol, I seemed to be addicted to certain kinds of games and now they arnt around anymore!

Anyway, best wishes to you and what ever you put your energy into!

I understand what your saying with the "keep depositing hole to win money back" always end badly and you feel horrible for couple of days up to 1 week. usually for me i say to myself never play this shit again, and 5 days later i manage to find a account to play at and keep losing more. So you should quit if u manage it ur blessed
