Feel like a right ***

I keep trying to put it out of my mind. It was a huge withdrawal, I went a bit crazy.. but I had only deposited £20 so no major cash loss, but I am so  with myself at the moment..

Any advice for preventing this in future?

That's a tough one. Everyone has to do different things to fight an urge. Could customer support have locked the withdrawal preventing you from accessing it?

I've done this before, up to the tune of $3900 profit.....So don't beat yourself up over it  It's hard to move on, I understand, but it can be done....

Like someone suggested in another thread, as soon as you make a withdrawal, tell ALL your friends, SO, whomever, about it......Then you're held somewhat accountable for it...and will risk the embarrassment of having to tell them that you reversed the withdrawal and lost it...

We had quite a number of discussions in the last couple of month about reversals. It always comes down to self-discipline.
It's probably best to play at one of the casinos that flush instantly to prevent that in the future. May I ask where you played?

Oh man I feel with you. Don't be too harsh with yourself.

I know that LeoVegas does manual flushing on request.

Try to do something else now - go out with your friends/family and try to enjoy yourself again.

I can't say I have never reversed a withdrawal, but it is few and far between, and usually only part of it. I'm more often guilty of carrying on playing when I could have withdrawn, or trying to rush through a WR with bets too big for my bankroll.

Long time ago, before CM, I reversed and reversed and reversed myself out of $2700, which was much needed money at the time.

I still keep the steno pad chronicling this beside my computer.

Suggest you stick a post-it on your monitor to remind yourself of just how rotten it feels. But you can stop kicking yourself, just try to remember for the future.

Yep, been there, done that, hate yourself afterwards!!

I believe Guts and Paddypower don't offer a cancel withdrawal option, which is great. Plus, having just joined Guts, their withdrawal times are very quick. Even Coral have quick withdrawal times (had withdrawals paid within 12 hours by Paypal), bu can still rollback withdrawal requests.

As mentioned above, move on and don't dwell on it. Most of us have been there, me included quite recently, but you can soon bounce back.

Is it like that in all UK based casinos, or just those two? Just wondering if it's a licensing requirement....

I wish they were all like that, but unfortunately not! Can't see the logic of waiting between 2 and 5 days for withdrawal processing times as they take the deposit money immediately! Discipline and self control are seriously tested in these processing times, especially if you have deposit limits and are up to these limits!

Yeah we've all done that one, that's something we can all relate to so we all feel your pain. Maybe not huge amounts but definitely large, profitable ones.

It's fresh in your mind and is gonna suck for a day or two for sure. But before long you will forget about it, that's the one thing I've noticed about gambling.

Chalk it up as a lesson learned, even if a painful one. You can be sure not to do it again I imagine.

No doubt you will have a session like this again at some point. Just get your mind round to thinking that you only lost £20, not the other amount. The way to look at it is, until the winnings have hit your bank account, they are not 'real' as such. Hence, you've lost a tiny amount and done yourself a favour in the long term.

But as always, until it happens to you, it is easy to throw advice your way.

And as I mentioned in another post a while back, tell your partner/ close relative/ friend of the amount 'won' so that it's too cringeworthy for you to change your mind.

My sympathy goes out to you though mate, hope you can ride this one out ;)

With a download casino, uninstalling the client was often a way of making it hard to reverse. However, if it's a really big win, and your router is a bit past it, one suggestion would be to order the latest model off Amazon, then smash up the old one with a big hammer. By the time your new router has been delivered and set up, it will be too late to reverse the withdrawal:D

sighh... yea its not uncommon.
it's a gamble for sure.
many will empathize...
maybe we should have a running post here so if someone withdraws they have a buddy here who will shame them if they reverse...

superb idea Alfran. Someone should start a 'I'm withdrawing' thread or something like that. Members post amounts pending over a reasonable amount, say £200+, and that person has to publicly announce it via this forum. They also need to tell as many people closest to them as well.

It will probably piss casinos off no end though! But f*ck em

haha.. yes it will keep you occupied... perhaps write the amount... write about what you will do with the money... etc. and if you have left some balance to play, write about what game you are low-rolling till withdrawal approved...
nothing will stop someone from lying if they reverse but oh well...

if you lack willpower, simply unscrew your hard drive and post it to yourself....:D

Or ask friend/neighbour you trust to change e-mail addy and password on your account and give it back to you when w/d is received.

Or preferably just play at casinos with no pending, of which there are loads....

Been there, Bought the tshirt & smoked the cigar low it was a bitter taste :)

I used to deposit £10 on bingo sites and withdraw anythink from 30- 200, Than b4 I knew it I reversed the lot, Only to depo on other sites and do the same thing, Just if I kept all the withdraws I be laughting at the end of the week's, Now days its hard to even get a decent profit let alone a chance to withdraw, When you do and blow it back its a real bad feeling,

I just look at it to say you lost £20, I had two small withdraws this month and both was on a 2 day dragout, I did not reverse :~) Normally I would of done but no more, Im not saying I nether do it again but certainly learnt my lessons over the years
