Hello All,

My affiliate account was recently terminated by 888/uffiliates and it was recommended that I post about this here.

Basically, after years of promoting 888 my players were generating me roughly $1000 USD per month on average. I got an email from their affiliate support saying that my account would be terminated because there have not been many leads in the recent months. They cited clause 8.1 of their terms:

The term of this Agreement will begin upon your acceptance to the Uffiliates Scheme as an Affiliate and will end when terminated by either Party. At any time, either Party may immediately terminate this Agreement, with or without cause, by giving the other Party written notice of termination, where such notice may be served via fax or e-mail.

I got no warning before this, and when I tried to contact them with promises of renewed promotion they said they were glad to put me on a CPA plan but all the revenues that my previously referred players were generating would be terminated.

I don't know if there is anything that can be done but I thought I would share my experience because I feel as though they have acted in very "bad faith".

Pretty surprising coming from a company that "values" it's affiliates - not!

It's what you'd expect from 888.com. It's the bottom line that counts with these guys, not relationships, not true partnerships. Closing affiliate accounts because they are under-performing is a rogue tactic that a number of affiliate programs attempt to do. And they do it because simply put - they can't. It's not a partnership - it's a money grab.

As KasinoKing mentioned, there are plenty of Accredited Casino affiliate programs that would never think about pulling a stunt like this. Here's two:

Read the terms before signing up at any affiliate program - make a screenshot if need be because this is your contract. If any affy program tries to renege on a contract in the future, that's cause for rogue-pit action. It's even covered in our standards for accred casinos:

  • Must not implement retroactive terms and conditions to their affiliate programs without explicit permission and agreement from the affiliate.
