Preview of the new Net Entertainment slot: Staxx

.

Maybe you should ask one of the moderators to move this thread over to the new Slots Discussion-section instead

40x bet = Mega Win? :what:

Yeah, I thought that. Doesn't look very innovative to say the least. Best I can describe it as from that vid is "crap". I'll await some free spins when it gets released but can't see me even playing a few paid ones out of curiosity.

Full screen of symbols only 40x bet? Hopefully its as low variance as looks or there really is no use for it at all.

Guts running a promo for this launching...

"Play 100 real money rounds on Flowers on Tuesday and get 10 free spins on Neon Staxx.

Repeat on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and and Monday to get 30 bonus spins. 70+30 = 100 free spins total!"

Arcader is a much better slot then this crap.

I love the 80's neon feel to it and the music but that's it. The pays are embarrassing. Free spins is really hard to hit.

When will NetEnt release a proper slot again? The next two coming up doesn't look good either.

I'm very curious: how is this an Arcader clone? The base game is different, the bonus game is very different (Arcader has two that are both nothing like the Staxx one from what I can see) and the graphics have different styles (Arcader has retro style pixel graphics). The only thing that is the same is probably the low variance and the fact that you get "Mega Win" or "Amazing" on small wins. I know some people like to bash Netent but this just does not make any sense.

Event Horizon (Betsoft) vs Twinspin (Netent) = clone
Arcader vs Staxx = not a clone

Or am I missing something?

The artistic style of them is so similar, taking into the account the sloped presentation of the reels, there is a very similar animation when a full stack of symbols lands on the first reel building anticipation of whether another full stack will land. They are both retro themed slots, with similar retro style soundtracks.

They may not play like a clone of each other, lets just say Neon Staxx is very heavily inspired by Arcader then .... to the point of embarrassment in my opinion.

can't believe I wasted like 15-20 minutes on this....even if it was on play mode....:mad:!!! I'd say no one's going to remember this in a few days time

Gave it a try last night, plays like a 20 line starburst with freespins instead of respins...

Perhaps it's me, but I get really dizzy when playing this slot for more than 10 min...:puke:

The preview video was probably the most nauseating slot video I had seen. They probably tried to give some kind of retro vibes with the reel angle, trying to give impression that you are viewing it from a highly tilted display, like in some arcades like this.

Also in the preview video, the reel movement was jerky, non-smooth which I suppose was also supposed to give retro vibes. But playing the slot wasn't as nauseating, so I think they toned the jerky movement down a little bit.

Anyway, I think the attempt to give tilted impression on display that is not really tilted, and still somewhat jerky movement make it somewhat nauseating.

Online slot designers should not be obsessed with implementing features just because some land-based games have those characteristics. Just like some landbased slots have smartly implemented useful max bet button, it doesn't mean that you should implement a stupid useless max bet button on online slots.

Had an hours play earlier, free spins are very few and far between!
