Spinning reels esp those that lag..... for hours at a time have seemed to have a bad effect on my eyesight. (or is it just age)
Anyone faced the same? Certain games that dont have the 'spinning' effect such as Gemix are easier on the eyes IMO.

My eye's go all funny also, I am getting on abit but still like to think I am 20, most of the time its a trance anyways when spinning and thats the addicted part of it :)

Try putting the screen light down abit, Abit less stress on the eyes, Only the other day I had enough of looking so closed my eyes for no more than 30 secounds, when looked back at screen I see shit but a big blur, I thought thats not good, I end up pressing max bet,

I always watching or listing to tv when playing so constantly eyes are moving

Wow, I see the boy is back in town :D
Welcome back Spintee and nice to see you again:thumbsup:

Talking about seeing then no matter what you do in front of a computer your eyes will be damaged.
They get dry and they need more rest from the screen than we're giving them.
I know I could need a pair of glasses for protection too. One day I'll buy them ;)

If the screen seems too bright try installing this

it automatically takes the harsh light from teh screen at sundown, I have been using it for a couple of months now and my eyes certainly feel a lot more relaxed at bedtime

Welcome back dude :)

The worst ever was when MG had their transition in graphics about 9-10 years ago. Remember the stripey spins on the download casinos!! That was just hideous and really terrible on your eyes! Some graphics I find way too bright to enjoy the slot properly. Darker themed games are far easier on the eye.

But isn't that to do with your other activities on the other tabs you have open???:D:D:D

You do need to realise that most modern monitor are way too bright for photo editing. It supposed to sit at 120cd/m2 not at 300 or 400 cd/m2 which is way too bright. Its bad for eyes to strain. Even the worst part is LED backlight is blue that can put much more strain on eyes. Even if monitor don't have flicker free then it will strain your eyes like PWM flickers usually occur when you reduce brightness. This Samsung monitor I had to decrease brightness all the way down to comfortable 28 from 100 to match 120cd/m2 and it is much better, it may look a little flat but looks fine otherwise.

Also video card is another problem. Better quality video card with better refresh rate matching monitor refresh rate will give you pleasant one with no more strain on your eyes. Lacking those will strain on your eyes.

Atm I own U28D590 but honestly it is not perfect screen due to TN which limits angle viewing but excellent picture quality at UHD though. But I need to get much better video card to cope with that UHD need to upgrade from Nvidia GeForce 660 Ti to newer 900's series.
