Viper Software Download blocked by Avast

Having issues since mid-Jan with Roxy Palace Casino. Had to uninstall, and went to re-install the Viper software, as playing at the Flash site not offering oldies like Porky Payout and First Past the Post.... just isn't an option any longer. From the start, the reps have been adamant there is no malware or Trojan included in the download, however Avast begs to differ.

Roxy has gone so far as to have the VIP rep claim to have spoken to a higher-up at Avast who claims everything is fine, and I can go ahead and check it out. I did contact Avast, they had never heard of the person quoted. They claimed the classification was correct, and to avoid installing the software. If there is a correction or re-evaluation done it will reflect in future updates. Been over a month, and still nothing since that time, so the viruses still exist, and the rep simply did not get back to me. Ignoring the issue with me is fine, I have other spots to deposit, but my mom is elderly, and has only ever known MG Viper clients, namely Roxy Palace. Tried to ease her over to 32 red or even Guts, but anyone with a mum who is set in their ways knows what I am talking about. It will ALWAYS be Roxy Palace.

Today, my mother deposited a large amount and tried to play. She was unaware that I have been having issues since Jan at Roxy, and experienced exactly what I did. Unable to install the viper software without being blocked by Avast, over and over. She has a huge balance but cannot play the games she enjoys, and a refund does not appear to be an option with a bonus balance, that they gave her for spending 2 hours on live chat trying to help her uninstall Avast, (which was not successful thank god).

I could just cut and past the lengthy email trail in here, and it would explain a lot of the back and forth on this, however I am interested in a fresh idea and possible solution if anyone has any ideas.
She either wants to play the balance, on viper software, or get refunded her initial deposit.

I'm not a computer expert.
But one thing I know from my experience is that, just because the "anti-virus" program block something, it doesn't mean it is a dangerous virus. But, of course I don't think it is safe to download anything without antivirus program

Why don't you install some other anti-virus program other than Avast, and disable Avast for a moment and try to install the casino? Many antivirus programs are free, or at least free for 30 days or so.

I am also no computer expert, very far from it, but my spidey sense is tingling if you have to disable the best, most reputable antivirus program known to man for any length of time just to get something to work.

I reported this as a false positive twice in Jan, it was never re-classified, so I think they are pretty sure about this being Malware and a Trojan. Even in some emails I got back on this they said there "WAS" a problem but it is fixed now, after telling me there was no problem the first several times. Hard to know how to proceed! Advice is appreciated!

False positive tests for 25 anti-virus softwares.

Avast: 120 false alarms

The second worst:

Vipre: 36

18 of 25, 72% of the softwares tested, had less than 10 false alarms.

64% had 6 or fewer false alarms.

That 120 looks really bad compared to 6 or less.

I haven't seen Avast being rated best in recent anti-virus reviews, neither as best free or best paid version, the only one where they were rated best was some Best Android antivirus.

That is alarming, and food for thought. I wonder why Roxy is the only viper .exe affected out of all of them? I was going by C-net (download.com) on the best rated, most downloaded data. I don't know what to do anymore!

Most Viper casinos have he same problem. Take 32RED I just gave up trying to redownload it as my antivirus blocks it constantly. Every time I had played it I constantly got virus warnings blocking it so thought id redownload it and gave up in end.

Strange, see different people have different results. I was able to re-download 32 red's viper client, as well as Ruby Fortune and Casino La Vida since Jan, so I am confused, and defeated :(

I use AVIRA free antivirus software and get a warning every time i try to download a MG casino, no matter which name..32red, GoWild, lucky247...all the same. Since i think i can trust Microcgaming i just switch off the antivirus scanner for a minute, download and install the casino and restart it then again. No problems running the casino software once installed while it is switched on. Go figure
