hi I have played online slots for about 3 yrs now and I have knoticed that over the last 5 months the bonuses and wins have all but dried up I have a few questions if anyone could answer

1 does your internet browser stop wins or affect your game ???
2 in a bonus screen and say you have 3 squares to choose say x5 x10 x15 bonus is it pre set and it doesn't mater what one you choose.
3 they say its a rng but they do go in cycles you can either have nothing or bonus after bonus I can tell if a game is paying out or not. don't get me wrong their is still the random win when the game is not paying but it does go in cycles.
4 I usually use paddypower or Ladbrokes for slots is their any other good ones
5 hi to all and I hope you can help with my queries

browser has no relevance to wins or game, though i would recommend using firefox and chrome ahead of internet explorer for a multitude of reasons that aren't gambling related.

online things such as these will be pre-determined but still random, but as you say taken before you start the picks, as an example a Wild Desire in immortal Romance will update the win on the bank screen before before the feature has finished (just dont check it if you dont want to spoil the surprise!). The amount that you have won is definitely random but you are getting to see the visual representation of it basically.

Anything skill based is too open to manipulation online,

3 they say its a rng but they do go in cycles you can either have nothing or bonus after bonus I can tell if a game is paying out or not. don't get me wrong their is still the random win when the game is not paying but it does go in cycles.

this is just rng at work doing what it does :) you can go 1000 spins without a feature while another player has 10 bonus rounds in that time, you can go months without a withdrawal and then seemingly look like its impossible to lose the next week (again rng at work)

4 I usually use paddypower or Ladbrokes for slots is their any other good ones

there is a wealth of casinos to try on the accredited list on this site as well as plenty of other great ones going through the baptism of fire (to see if they make it onto the list) you can find the full list here, Link Outdated / Removed

if you list the slots or brands you like i.e microgaming, wms netent im sure others can recommend specific casinos to try.

I can help you out with no. (4) (but it is just my humble opinion)

You are playing 2 of the worst sites, especially Ladbrokes who are terrible since the software switch.

My personal faves (where 7/10 I get at least 'value' for my deposits and a handful of bonus rounds) are 32 Red, Guts, Next/Casino Luck, All British Casino, BetAt. Not saying your gonna make your millions at these but do seem to give a fair 'roll of the dice'

Again not set in stone and just an alternative opinion but I had to do a fair bit of 'shopping around' before I discovered my more 'fortunate and favourable' casinos.

With regards to number (2) and a few members will disagree maybe, Wild Reels is spot on with his example of a Wild Desire feature but I strongly believe with 'Pick me' bonuses it doesn't matter which you chose, the payout is already decided before the pick was made/pick me feature triggered.

Since we're asking questions here, I've got one that's puzzled me re online.

In a land based casino (at least in Australia), the slot machines show how much the machine has taken and how much it has paid out. If you calculate, it varies across machines and it's not the same payout %.

Now, with online casinos, are non-progressive slots across the software linked when calculating payout percentage? (how much has gone in/out) Or is it based on each individual casino?

without ever being 100% i would assume that the rng built into each slot is simply doing its jobs over millions of spins and it will payout the rtp over a long period of time, it dosent care what day, whos played it the most or how much money has gone into it from a particular casino, the combined money in out will make it arrive at the overall rtp.

there are some sites that do give you such info, videoslots springs to mind, however this isn't really useful player info, as each spin is supposed to be totally random and not dependent on the previous, so even if player a has just won a x3000 feature, it should have absolutely no bearing on player b's chances of doing the same on his next spin, there isnt some magic virtual cash pot that will make it go "cold" to recoup its losses immediately, it will do it over time with an rtp less than 100% anyway.

Friends, I am playing slots too. However, I have been thinking about their providers and players choice. Actually, Jonmincher pointed several clubs and I know that they offer NetEnt, Microgaming and BetSoft software. I wonder, which provider is more popular in Europe, USA? As for me, I can tell that our gamblers, in Russia, play Novoline slots (most of all). People are crazy about them (I also got used to play Novomatic games). You know, I discovered NetEnt and BetSoft software. Cool modern slots but there is nothing better than classic;)

I'm not sure either, however the bottom line is that each spin is just delivering a random number. It doesn't really matter what "pool" that comes from, it's a random set of digits that is then made into a pretty/not so pretty picture and delivered to our screen.

I understand it's random but doesn't the generator base it on the payout percentage the slot is set at? Just like with land based, if you've seen the staff put the key in and it brings up the admin of the software, they can adjust the payout percentage, etc.

So if there's been a big win on a particular machine which has now made the slot payout a larger percentage than the setting of the overall payout percentage, wouldn't the slot pay less now? (until it reaches the target payout percentage again)

I've always noticed in land based that no one will play on a machine that they've just seen someone collect a big payout from, maybe it's just a mental thing lol

I must admit I change machines after a big win but I'm pretty sure it's psychological. You do seem to notice the mean streaks more just after a big win eh :)

I don't know how the randomness works exactly tbh - there are probably several ways but if it's truly random, as it's supposed to be, then every spin is independent. A slot has to be licensed and certified so there must be some proven formula in place that a game has to adhere to.

Browser is irrelevant.
'Pick me' features are pre-awarded.

Cycles? Let's simplify this.
Throw a die 1000 times.
Imagine high numbers like 5 and 6 are wins in excess of your stake each time.

On this line of 1000 random 1-6's get a length of chalk say equivalent to 75 numbers. Move it along and at any given point it could cover 75 numbers that are predominantly 4,5 and 6's. There's your winning deposit or 'good run'. Conversely another block of 75 results will contain mainly 1,2 and 3's. There is your Netent, sorry 'bad run'.
Obviously transpose this to thousands of results of more than 6 possibilities and you get the picture of how RNG slots produce curves in their RTP.
