RTG casinos windows installer error

Hi guys

I try and download ANY RTG Casino....I am getting a box that comes up and says this: Windows Installer Error: This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

I have tried disabling antivirus and firewall and tried all sorts of compatible mode settings. I have windows 8

I contacted one or two RTG casino's and they could not help. Only advice was a clean windows reinstall but I find this going a bit too far for me...

Can anyone help me out?

Couple things

1. have you tried installing it from a different browser such as chrome or firefox?
2. have you cleaned your computer, could be malware or viruses causing it not to install
3. try it in safe mode - vista-or windows 7 , you restart machine and keep tapping f8 key and select "safe mode with networking"
it will look different but if it works then you can restart in normal mode and should be fine
4. reset your IE browser- go to tools-internet options- advanced tab-reset- make sure you have a check mark in delete personal (its only for browser) wont delete personal files
5 lastly - if you have McAfee REMOVE IT !!!! Even though you disable it it takes a hold of your machine - worst anti virus out in market.

Not sure if this has anything to do with your installation error, but some RTG casinos still use SSL3 encryption (which is insecure). For example, Inetbet's cashier shows this page, when SSL3 is disabled:

"This page can’t be displayed
Turn on SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to Outdated URL (Invalid) again."

SSL3 is not secure and everyone should disable it.

Solved the install issue (got a new problem now)

It appeared the windows installer service stopped. I found this out by windowstab +R and typing in services.msc
I started the windows installer service and the install worked fine.

However new problem. When I click a slot this appears:
'It appears the download server is not available'
Also I get errorcode 800640

Contacted support (allstarslots)
They really tried to help me out.
They told me to do a clean install of the casino, however now the old problem is back, I am getting the windows installer error again even with the windows installer service started

Also chat could not help me further
