I've had problems with the Jackpot Factory group myself.
They are not professional on how they handle player complaints.

miksaxxx I think your complaint is legitimate. They sent you a promotion which they didn't really hounour.

"mikko: I was added star 11 days ago. lol .."

Response from Jackpot Factory

Thanks for your feedback, Mikko. I'd like to explain what being a Star Player is and how it works.

Our Star Player program is a tool that allows us to recognize potential VIP players across the Jackpot Factory, and creates suitable rewards for high gaming activity. We continuously evaluate our Star players and if a player does not maintain or increase his gaming activity, we will discontinue the additional benefits.

However, ALL players at our casinos are reviewed on a regular basis and we offer many bonuses throughout the month. We encourage players to keep an eye on their My Offers section in the casino and take advantage of everything we have to offer.

I hope that clarifies matters.

It's not very player friendly though. You place a player in the star group, send them an offer, then renege on it. If the offer was made, it should be honoured even if you subsequently downgrade the player. It's FUTURE offers that should be cut after a player is downgraded.

The fiasco experienced by the OP had completely the opposite effect. Not only did their activity not get boosted, they ended up closing all the accounts they had with the group. This is a WORSE business outcome than would have happened had they not been upgraded to the star group in the first place and continued with the level of activity they had before.

Other players reading this may be less likely to respond positively to being placed in the star group as they will also worry that they will commit to offers only to have them reneged upon.

It might be better to set a player to the star group for a specific length of time, such as one month, giving them a specific end date upon which they will either be made VIP, or dropped from the star group, depending upon the activity of that review month. Care should be taken in communicating star group offers such that nothing is offered that expires beyond the end date of their star group guarantee of, say, one month. This should prevent a player having a currently active offer that would be reneged upon if they took it up not because the offer had expired, but because their star group status had expired.

Jackpot Factory used to get it right most of the time - what the hell has happened!

A misunderstanding?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anywhere in the communication that Mikko posted where we made a specific bonus offer that we failed to honour. He was granted Star player status. He received 5,000 loyalty points and was promised additional benefits if he maintained his activity. When he contacted support to ask for an additional bonus and THAT request was denied due to inactivity...well, that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Its the expectation that comes from being awarded star status just 11 days ago. Any player could contact you on receiving such a notice but the way you treated Mikko leaves a bad taste in the mouth. 11 days and then you remove the star status. Makes one wonder whether you actually awarded that status when you sent him/her the email. What's the point of telling a player he is deserving of special treatment only to tell him not much later that he is not qualified for any deposit bonuses and seemingly blaming him for inactivity.

If that's how you treat players you will soon have no loyal players left.

@ Jackpot factory; chuchu's point is what it's all about.
It's unreasonable for Jackpot Factory to promote someone like that and then take it away after 11 days.
More reasonable I think is for 3 months.

He quotes the offer:-

This is a clear offer of a specific bonus with a specific end date of Nov 5th. This is not him speculatively asking CS "for a freebie" and it being denied.

This is that "specific bonus offer that we failed to honour".

He also states it was the only offer he received, therefore it would also have been the FIRST offer he received as part of his new status. Given that you reneged on even the introductory offer, let alone the more vague prospect of continuation offers as he played towards VIP, it's pretty clear he was "set up" here, he was never really star status at all. This would have been his first chance to demonstrate how much he would deposit and play under the new status, so by removing him for "inactivity" before the status was even properly set up to open the way for his "activity" to be monitored, it was a completely pointless exercise.

Somebody in marketing made a big boo boo, and they are covering their ass by trying to pin the blame on the player who tried to use an offer he should not have been sent in the first place, as clearly he was not sufficiently active to meet the criteria of star status when it was awarded, and this is why the systems pulled it after a mere 11 days.

vinylweatherman, you quoted the offer - but what about the line that immediately followed? He received those bonuses. (See quote below.) We did not decline this offer at all. It was only later on, when Mikko asked for another bonus despite no no further gaming activity on that account, that we turned him down. The agent even offered to check his other accounts to see if he would be eligible for a bonus at a different casino, but by then he already wanted to close his accounts.

Again, I dint play that account for 4 months . So why the "STAR" status had been but in that account, that account haven't had nothing activity??

So when you make me "STAR" :D , i went ask that weekly bonus, which is clearly in star account text .. I just get answer , i am not "STAR" anymore..

So, this is all star status means. You get just the ONE offer, and that's it.

If he did all those deposits and got the offers, then surely that was "activity" on the account, so claiming "lack of activity" later on is somewhat misleading.

There must have been "activity" in the first place to warrant the elevation to star status. So AGAIN the excuse of "lack of activity" doesn't really ring true, especially given that a mere 11 day sample was taken whilst on star status in order to predict whether or not long term activity was still sufficient.

The OP should also realise that Jackpot Factory VIP status isn't what it once was. I was VIP for a long while, but then all the benefits of being VIP were progressively stripped from the program. In the end, there wasn't much left at all. Later, there was a belated attempt to put something back into the program, but at the same time there was a mass clearout of legacy VIP players. I was eventually cleared out despite a deposit volume of £6000 in the final month. I then seemed to briefly become VIP again for a few days some while later, even though my activity had dropped considerably. I then stopped playing altogether in June/July this year, but this was nothing to do with the offers or VIP program, and all to do with the incoming UK regulations which were set to render any kind of VIP status worthless after the 1st October. Strangely, between July and the end of October, my non VIP offers at All Slots seemed better than anything I had seen in the VIP program, yet this was all at a time when encouraging a UK player to increase their activity was pointless.

In it's peak, the VIP and other programs were:-

1) VIP 15x bonus WR instead of the usual 30x
2) Double loyalty points on almost all games, not weighted for game type either.
3) 15% bonus twice a week up to 300 credits
4) Scoreboard tournaments with top prizes up to 2500, and paid in CASH (this was prior to the MPV facility, and based on real money wagering)
5) Instant flushing of withdrawals on request, 24 hour pending otherwise.
6) Special VIP promotions, including deposit bonuses and cashbacks, run on a monthly basis.
7) VIP free chips billed as a "random drawing" among players who had been active in the past week.
8) Gifts through the post, especially Christmas and Birthday

All these were pulled one by one in later years. Some were added back in some form later.

It was the scoreboard tournaments with prizes in the region of £2000 that first drew me to Jackpot Factory. I was made VIP the following month after a demolition job on the scoreboards during the first month. I must have won 2 of the 4 tournaments, and placed well in the others. It was when these were pulled that my activity took a dive.

Jackpot Factory missed a chance with MPV too, they never had the big tournaments seen at Vegas Partner Lounge and Belle Rock, only the network events that Microgaming put on across the board.

I also recall that there was a scoreboard for the biggest single payout of the month, and at first there was a prize for the player with the highest.
