Many months ago I won 5 grand at 10bet, and requested it be flushed so I couldn't use it. Anyway, theres a lesson here for everyone. I used a woolys(safeway) prepaid mastercard. Great idea. Anyway, 10bet wanted scan of card with documentation that I was the registered card holder. I told them it was prepaid, theres no name on these cards, but wooleys don't even give cards now days, some stores a random card number and your choice of pin get printed on a docket. long story short, they wont pay unless I gave them a scan of a card with my name on it or proof by way of mastercard statement. Well when I told 10bet mastercard don't give statements for prepaid, and woolys wouldn't have the faintest idea. MasterCard or wooleys cannot provide a letter as neither of them have knowledge of who the card owners are. Unless you register the card online which is optional, but even then the company you register with cant provide any proof of ownership as they are not the provider. @@@ I received an email from mastercard, in summary, they were surprized I was having issues, as the merchant purchase id from prepaid cards are different to normal cards and all it would take is merchant tov confirm it wasn't a credit nor debit card. @@@ nor can chargebacks be given as there is no registered financial provider to process.

Anyway, went back to 10bet while all this was going on and finished off the change I still had in credits, then won another 6 grand, but I 9layed up and down and got a real good lengthy play. What I didn't realise was 10bet were putting my original 5 grand back into my credits while I was playing and because I was playing stupid bets, 50 a spin, I wouldn't notice. So theres no need for PAB as it was put in the too hard basket, and I understand why. But lesson for anyone using prepaid master cards at casinos, make sure its a card, make sure you keep the receipt, and when you register the card at casino, don't use your name, change it too (prepaid) or (gift card) because some casinos are living in the dark ages and use any means not to pay. As for 10bet, just another casino iv put in the FU bin.

* im sorry 10bet that I was lucky to win off a couple deposits after sign up. I wonder if that had anything to do with the refusal. *.
* 2 weeks after they drip fed me back my withdraw credits unknowingly , I sent email and had chat session and they confirmed they were awaiting documentation to process my withdraw, even thou they had drip fed it back over 10 days prior. How convienient that withdraws don't work fir all currencies , and you need to send them email. Is that done so they cant be audited on withdraws that don't go through the automated system*** But I have proof of withdraw requests, ask 10bet to show proof I requested withdraw reversed.

sorry but i dont buy it that you didnt notice your balance all of a sudden goes up 5 grand, even with a bet of $50:)

No, I did notice , well I think I did. But just thought it was winnings during play. And mind you, its only become a point of though weeks after when I was informed, how was I to know. Dunno how you play, but at at $50 a pop, u don't blink when its a 400 - 1000 win and by that time u just put it down to either clicking before looking, or just a combination or win you missed. But I never said was dumped in at once. I did state. drip fed. See, that's not unusual for me. But its not the point now is it. I wasn't expecting it, nor was I looking for it. Its easy to dig holes in it when you know the details. And don't get distracted by the end details as that's just my bad luck and ignorance for not seeing it, its my loss, my point was really about prepaid cards. You can make your own mind up about their ethics. And mind you, I only have their word on this, it may not of even been fed back to me. You think back 3 months and tell me what you remember when you didn't know it was happening.

* Hope the motherin law don't see this..lol"

Still the whole verification process is rubbish. When making a deposit using prepaid cards or vouchers,
the standard is to pay winnings into bank account.

If everything is correct, what they did is equivalent of asking for a photo of you holding Ukash voucher in your hand and sending a scanned shop receipt.
Absolute nonsense.

If 10Bet rep sees this thread, please let us know whether you really demand a proof of purchase when depositing with prepaid cards/vouchers.

did you played like it was free money with no eye on the balance? contrary, at $50/hand you are eyes open expecting the event of a win anytime,...isnt this the reason to bet this large?
my bullshit detector is skyrocketing right now...and usually i start my personal judgement in favor of players

i know the cards

many wont even work with casinos or anything really try sending them a screenshot of you logged into the prepaid cards balance or status

surely you must have got a msg or email from the bank or casino confirming the deposit?? Even if it's a prepaid card the provider should be in a position to provide you a some sort of proof that it was used for the said amount.....??

Yea, even worse when like me you play two screens at a time and you miss it and go "Oh Sh**, missed that. Or you start changing bet between 10 and 50 up and down on one screen while keeping an eye on second game you win free games on. Theres many reasons to get distracted, or you send an email while playing, while answering phone call, during call you hit the dunny, whilst leaving games on auto play while your grabbing a drink from fridge then your looking for a lighter that works whilst cracking the shi&s because you forgot to grab the ashtray, then sit back down only to realise you need a crap. So yea, there are maybe one or two reasons to get distracted. Not to mention the earful from the peeved off girlfriend because you would rather play than speak to her after you asked her to come over.Scan_2014110.jpg

CARDS ARE DEAD, CAN BE USED ONCE ONLY. PINK ONE AINT EVEN PLASTIC, Its like a ticket from a parking machine. No, Don't require registering, don't require proof or id when purchased, don't require proof when buying. Don't require proof when recharging. Maybe its a Aussie thing, im sure they would have em over yonda. Merchants and merchant banks have the card type on file, in fact im told it even states , pre approved card facility. I know Visa are useless now, but mastercard PP work anywhere for anything.

I'm just curious. Why some casinos put the money back into the account in the situation like this? I understand the casino put the money back into the account when the casino is not going to pay the player because there is a problem like bonus abuse.

But when they are waiting for some documents from the player, I don't understand why the casino put the money back. I think the money should stay as "pending"?

I know the player indicated to the casino that he couldn't provide the documents the casino asked, but still, it should be the player's decision either he leavse money in "pending" and tries to resolve the issue or give up the withdrawal and bring the money back, IMO.

For one and only reason...to be played back.

Maybe when people are using some sort of prepaid card or voucher they should keep them for a while after using them.

I only say that because I got asked from GUTS lol if I had copies of the ukash vouchers I had used when I was verifying account to withdraw as id reached my withdrawal limit or something without verifying. Was like you are having a laugh aren't you I bin them as soon as I use them. But lady verifying account said she needed proof of purchase as well as my neteller screenshot, driving licence etc. In the end she was happy enough when I provided shop I had brought them at even tho I had used them on and off for few months along with neteller as my deposit methods.

Just goes to show you never know when a casino will ask for proof of deposits even weeks after using them and even tho you have deposited several times and withdrew several times since they were used.

Casinos should stop accepting these unregistered deposit options as there is no way the player can verify them after the fact. They are like paying in cash, it's untraceable. The casinos are effectively allowing players to deposit with cash, but then requesting near impossible to provide verification documents when it comes to KYC. Players might keep receipts for a while, but eventually they will be binned as there has been no request to see them for several months.

Ideally, casinos should provide for the player to upload the receipt as a last step to crediting the deposit to the casino account. The casino will then have on file all the proofs of purchase it might need for KYC, and the player would be scanning and uploading their receipts as a necessary step to playing before they bin their receipts.

Even WITH all these receipts, it doesn't get around that fact that all these prepaid options can be bought with cash at a local convenience store, so it won't really prove to the casino that the cash used to buy the vouchers was legit. The only security is what the local shop does. They are probably supposed to ask to see proof of ID, but the staff there are not trained to spot money laundering, nor do they consistently follow the procedures they are trained in.

It's the payment of winnings into a verifiable bank account in the name of the player that ensures that money isn't being laundered through the casino from person A to person B.

Financial Onbudsman Service

Well it took this long but I finally got a letter from our Financial Ombudsman Service forcing Woolworth/MasterCard to provide proof of ownership on the declared prepaid debit card. I believe this decision is binding on anyone else wanting or needing ownership or statement of card processing for pre-paid cards in Australia. Also believe registration will be required on all cards prior to use in future.

If this is the case, can I have PAB reopened after this decision? And if so, how should I proceed?

You definitely need to scan or take photos of anything you use to deposit, even if you only use a card once and then find an alternate deposit method. I've heard of people who had the casino ask for a scan of a card they threw away months before.

I use a prepaid card that I can add funds to. The temporary one that they give me before they sent my real one (2 months later) didn't have my name on it and the casinos don't have a problem with the scans I sent. The reason they want to see that you have it in your possession is people who commit credit card fraud often just have the card number and info, not the actual physical card.

As for doing a PAB, you played the win back so what would be the point of it?

No I never. Account has been locked since issue started. Its been a while, im sure I asked for balance to be cleared while this was ongoing and agreed too. Best I refresh my notes.

Don't ask us. Ask the guy who are handling the PAB's, Maxd.
Now he will be in London the next week so be patient with waiting for a reply from him :)
