Is it just me or are non of the RTG casinos accepting new players? Im guessing this is due to the recent changes in legislation to the UK gambling laws but still. A frienmd of mine has tried to sign up to 3 or 4 RTG casinos tonight and they all come back saying not accepting new UK players at this time. Club world, slotocash, Aladdins Gold al come back saying the same. Did I miss a forum post? :/

I am sure the rogue RTG casinos will happily accept UK players, but your friend really doesn't want to play there. The ones you mention are the "good ones", so of course they are keen to obey the rules as future opportunities may depend upon their current behaviour.

Totally Agree VWM however I would have thought Club World casinos would have applied for a UK licence :what: Thats what im finding surprising.

Actually someone had commented about CWC leaving, but I wasn't sure about the rest. I wonder about iNetBet Euro? One of the issues is going to be that any casino who's going to be taking UK players will also need to use software that's licensed in the UK by the end of the year too. So unless RTG decides to get licensed, then all the RTG casinos will be bailing - or they'll have to switch software. :(

Sloto group and Club World group are UK based, so I presume they have decided it's not worth getting licensed, which does seem odd to me.
Of the other RTGs, most are rogue, and the few that are not are presumably "flouting the law" and will carry on as normal.

The other major problem is probably that their main market is still the USA. It's clearly going to be way beyond the 3% limit above which they will have to justify why they think it's OK to carry on accepting bets from "grey markets", and worse, "black markets". The UKGC probably see the USA as a "black market", and places like Canada and Australia as "grey markets". This is apart from the problem with the software, which will itself come under the licensing remit of the UKGC from March next year.

For now at least, they have probably decided that it's better to retain their US market than to sacrifice it in order to legally take on UK players.

seems since new regs have come in they are not signing new accounts & my old accounts which arnt in use wont work now & maybe all the accounts which are working now will also go or thats what the rep is suggesting although there not 100% on it.

Some will choose to ban UK players, the trouble for them is that if they supply the UK market they can get nicked for that aywere in the EU using a European Arrest Warrant. Given that they already can't go to the US ruling out the whole of Europe to avoid arrest is a big ask for a couple of fools who pick their rogue site over the legal firms.

I seriously doubt the potential revenues from UK players justify the additional arrest and gaol time risk.
