This site used to one of the best before they changed every thing (low they do have more games providers low) Even still 2- 3 emails plus txts a day does annoy me, it stops for a few days than bang it starts al over again, I no I can change email and put a new blower number in but this should not be the point,

I do put a few quid in a month to get the free bonus as thats al its worth sines the change.

Any body else getting the same shyte

yeah me!!! all ridiculous bonused WR d plus B, they just get deleted now, its like they are desperate. Its gives the impression of a clip joint

Exactly, its pretty bad, I did say when they first went down hill and got rid of MG that a bunch of cowboys took over, Looked like they had got load of no hoppers involved, Theses guys was a big U.K brand and they shot them selfs really, Which is bad as I loved them

Only good thing about Ladbrokes is that they have some netent games now.

I use them for sports to get weekly free bet and free bets at weekend and sometimes I transfer to games etc but I never make a deposit now just to play slots.

The texts and emails etc. are ridiculous at moment and its several every day. After all the years I used there casino regularly never once had even an email saying happy birthday yet last week I did lol offering me a great birthday deposit bonus with only 20x wagering. Thought needn't have bothered as no way I will ever take a bonus again at Ladbrokes due to normal obscene wagering of deposit and bonus.

I have moaned about them b4 as someting not right with them, As with the free spins without deposit I do not think they even come with a wager, Not going to try a deposit bonus as there as bad as the quickly changed slot magics and there turn over on deposit, Alow I must admit I did read threw there rules again and any thing less than 100% has got less wager, But I would not trust rules there due to the fact they did not change them them when they went for bbf, And they knew, I take nothing away from what the boys do here, there more than helpfull and if you play by 6the books than you be safe, But you can get blood out of a stone, And there are plenty of sites now days that are stone

For reference: It is possible to change your preferences on Laddies via My Account > Personal Details > Contact Preference on the website and opt in or out of email, phone, post and/or SMS. I recall from a couple of months back that their SMS opt-out by sending a "STOP" text message didn't work (after getting 4 texts in an hour) - I hope they've fixed that now!

Personally, I have stopped playing on Ladbrokes Casino / Vegas at the moment. They seem to have made more changes to their promotions and offerings in the past month or two - and appear to have made a bad situation worse for the casual player:

1) "Phantom WRs" - originally a WR would lapse when your bonus dropped under £1 (and occasionally give you the shrapnel as cash, which was a nice touch - this is still in the T&Cs); then it lapsed when the bonus hit zero (as we would normally expect); now it can linger and stack up, even with a zero balance.

2) The promotions seem to be increasingly tight and/or broken - for example, the Super Heroes Attack promotion this weekend offers 10 free spins for a £35 deposit - in September it was 25 free spins for a £25 deposit, and previously 25 free spins for a £20 deposit; zero and 10x WR are trending towards 30x WR; and so on. That's assuming the promotion even works in the first place - 20 minute waits for CS for 5 free spins was not my idea of fun!

3) The big push for 20x(D+B) "buy-in bonuses" - a 77% match would be 45xB, a 30% match would be 86xB. Occasionally they would temper this with "deposit bonuses" - still 20x(D+B) but as the allocated funds were zero, the player would get some free play time without having any of their funds locked. On the flip side, it could be "risk-free" and thus be abused by advantage players and the like. Ideally they needed something in the middle.

Obviously they need to offer promotions that work for them, but an 86xB is not going to tempt a deposit! Saying that, most of their spam I get at the moment is for Bingo  so perhaps they don't want my business anyway!

Same, non-stop emails. Gave up on Laddies ages ago, useless on promotions, outdated emails hence the promotion has ended, unhelpful and abrupt CS amongst numerous other cock-ups are the reason my account has been dormant for some time.

Weren't so bad when they were MG in my opinion.

Non stop junk from Ladbrokes now.

I don't bother with them anymore, used to do most of my playing there but dont go near it now.

Last time I was on a pop-up cam up offering me a 150% bonus, so I took up the offer and deposited £20 (the minimum req for any bonus with ladbrokes now) But no bonus was added.

took 2 days to get a reply to my email asking why, and they said that £30 was the minimum for that specific bonus, although it didnt say that anywhere.

Customer service is terrible now.

I think Ladbrokes got complacent and just imagined the customers would be there purely because of the brand. I would be curious if they ever bother reading real player opinions, like the ones here!! Probably not.

I agree with that, I think they used to read and see what people was saying, But something went wrong, Like shep said cs is horrible, Which they are, last time I called I got there to an indian call center, That what pushed it for me,
Also lausitzer28 mentioned about the spins with no wager, Which is true but what use is 5 - 10 spins? Also I have had nothing of them in a while now accept all the messages and emails with the stupid 30% bonus

It would appear this more 'pro active' (read: aggressive) marketing trend is largely attributed to the changes that were implemented following their partnership agreement with Playtech...

"To benefit fully from Playtech’s proven track record in this area, Ladbrokes is creating a new, wholly owned, ecommerce and digital marketing services operation, to be based in Israel... Experianced my arss, took over an hour just to find my account when I rang them up, I really can not describe in words how bad they have gone, A big shock to me, I had spent thousands upon thousands with them dating back to over ten years,

I think Laddies saw the success that William Hill was having and thought 'we want a bit of that'. However, what works for one doesn't always work for the other.

I agree that they Ladbrokes has gone down hill since leaving MG. Used to play there all the time. Was a Vip player there and enjoyed the promos and thought they had decent customer service. Stopped depositing there entirely now.
Been having trouble with cashier loading up. You would think they would help out or give feedback in some way so I can make a deposit... but No... took them 3! month ... to finaly tell me that the technical support cannot figure out what the problem is.
So I scratched them off my list of casinos I ll ever leave my money again.

Jesus, they're really selling this Deal or No Deal game aren't they? Think I've had 3 emails about it in 5 or 6 days.

Lol lucky you. Think ive had about 10 emails, same in texts and several messages on logging in since beginning of week.

To top it all of if I log into sports a message pops up about some casino promotion. The damned message takes up nearly the full page. Whoever is in charge just does not seem to get that this amount of marketing is more likely to put the customer off depositing than actually make them want to.

Same here. If you look at the "leaderboard" for the DOND promotion, it might give some suggestions why they are pushing it so much.

Every £1 staked with the 8 selected games awards 1 point. As of the update this morning, the bottom 40 qualifying places are separated by just £37 in wagering. Either that suggests a really close contest (unlikely given the leader is over 4 grand ahead) or people aren't really engaging with it. Of course it could all change over the weekend, but you have to wonder if they are getting fidgety given they've posted nearly five grand for it! :sob:

Ladbrokes used to be my only choice for online casino gaming. As a downloaded Mg casino they were utterly rock solid, super fast payouts and no hassle whatsoever.
Then it all went to shit. Crap game choices, cluttered and awful looking website, spamarama-ding-dong (did I do that right?) non-stop emails and texts. Desperate

Visiting Ladbrokes these days... I can only compare with 50yr old Brazilian legend Socrates signing for Garforth Town AFC; he was brilliant, but when you looked on he was so old and bad you wonder why he bothered

Ladbrokes as recently as last year were my choice of MG casino. I loved that you could get a big win, walk down to the local laddies shop, and take out your winnings immediately using the 'little red card'.

And never any spam. They only emailed with promos that were of genuine interest (eg when they started their Friday Gold factory free spins promotion.)

Now? I haven't been down to the local shop in months, have actually lost my red card, and as for the spam... Only the schizophrenic mess Jackpot City is worse.

What a shame.

As if things could not get worse for Ladbrokes I see they have had a major PR disaster this week. Seems there was a bit of a mix up between shops and HR about whether poppies would be allowed to get sold in their shops. But from what ive read it was just a misunderstanding but seems to have shown them in a really negative light leading to many people saying they are now closing their accounts.

Just can not believe how badly one group can be run in over a year. Actually spent 10 minutes earlier searching emails from years ago and it just showed how many great bonuses I received 5 to 10 years ago compared to the junk on offer these days.

This highly skilled team would be better employed ensuring their other Playtech partners keep their sticky fingers out of the till, especially when progressives are involved. They can spin PR till they are blue in the face, but if another Playtech partner has recently trousered a few million from a progressive payout, they might as well take the rest of the year off.

WH may well be doing well, but they WERE implicated in a major "Joyless" progressive theft from a Canadian player that took place a mere 6 months prior to them buying out the casino in question, and given the publicity at the time, something they should have been aware of during their "due diligence". It seems they dismissed it as a risk for them because they decided it was up to the player to chase the previous owner, not WH, but WH DID have the financial records of said "Joyless" casino, yet were unable to account for the missing CAD$2 million. Some WH casinos STILL have the term that was used to stiff said Canadian player out of CAD$2Million, so why?

"highly skilled" are their words, not mine

During the changes, there were lots of rumours surrounding the cessation of the Playtech/WH partnership & the initiation of the Playtech/Ladbrokes one. Thankfully both sportsbooks are PLC’s, so all the information has to be announced to shareholders. Although it stretches over a couple of years, key milestones (IMO) include…

20th October 2011 – William Hill staff in Tel Aviv stage a mass walk-out re rumours that offices are being closed. "Employees were allegedly told that William Hill planned to close the Tel Aviv operation, with Mr Sanoff offering to re-employ them in a new business."

11th March 2013 - Ladbrokes opens Israel digital marketing centre. "Ladbrokes Israel, as the team will be called, will take on 40 marketing staff whose services have been bought by the gambling group for £850,000 from an Israeli company that works closely with Playtech… The agreements come one week after Playtech sold its stake in William Hill Online to William Hill plc (LSE: WHM) for £424 million. The timing of the new Ladbrokes deal was made possible by Playtech's sale of its stake in William Hill Online. Under the terms of the joint venture with William Hill, Playtech could not sign a similar agreement with its rival, Ladbrokes.”

Could it be that the Playtech support staff that were working exclusively on the WH account got early wind of changes afoot back in 2011? It could of course be pure coincidence that upon termination of the WH deal, 40 support staff are found and migrated to work on Ladbrokes account.

Another desperate and misleading promotion in the pipeline...

"Stick with Ladbrokes Vegas ... and play risk free now!" (page realigned to reduce image size)

Then the nasty trick hidden away... a 30x WR on the refund amount - which must be cleared within 72 hours.

If web traffic stats are anything to go by, then it would appear that whilst many here have stated their dislike for the 'new' Ladbrokes, it is proving successful. Web analytic site

is reporting that the global ranking of the ladbrokes.com website has improved by 1,181 positions over the last 3-months. (Admittedly Alexa also confirm that the daily page views per visitor and avg time on the site has decreased, but it could be argued that the site is easier to navigate, and all relevant information is no longer spread over numerous pages).

Without any visibility on player conversion numbers and revenues, we cannot say if the increased traffic has resulted in the same effect on the former two KPI's. However historical trends always see a rise in player numbers after the summer, so I think it would be a reasonable assumption to say the same would be seen at Ladbrokes & regardless of what some might see as the guerrilla style marketing campaign(s) they are currently running.

Like it or not, I think these kind of things are here to stay (at least until the trading figures for the full quarter (or perhaps more likely the 2nd half of 2014) are released).
