Your Input Please What could be the "Security Issue" at Sports Interaction?

I just made a deposit at Sports Interaction and made a decent profit (£400). I went to withdraw to my moneybookers account but could not do so. Contacted CS and was told the following

" Thank you for holding, XXXX. There is currently a block not allowing you to withdraw, due to a minor security issue. Our Security team must first review this and determine what the issue may be, and resovle it, but unfortunately, they are currently closed for today due to it being Canada's Thanksgiving holiday."

I am a UK customer and I am struggling to understand what kind of security issue there could possibly be considering that my deposit was accepted readily enough. I have never experienced this before - can anyone advise me of the kind of thing that could be the problem??

This place is accredited here so I am not overly concerned about getting robbed outright but this kind of thing does concern me.

Interestingly enough the "security issue" is not so severe that I have been prevented from playing with my balance so the casino has not taken away my opportunity to lose all of my profit while I wait for their response....

Could be a simple matter of a documents request. This is purely routine, and should not be the subject of "scary" language like "security issue", which is often used by casinos as a euphemism for "we are likely to confiscate your winnings and refund your deposit". They don't even seem to have any idea what the problem might be, so it's likely to be something that has been automatically flagged up by the system, and it needs someone from security to understand what this flag means in plain English, but they all have the day off.

They should be on this tomorrow. It would be bad practice to compound matters by either ignoring the issue, or wheeling out a different vague excuse when they get in touch.

Feel free to contact the casino rep with your concerns if you do not receive a satisfactory response in a timely manner.

But....

Their security team is in Canada? ... Sorry.... just one of those mind jump thingys.... ignore me... as you were...

Oh my, a National Holiday celebration for one day (hopefully ;)) would be difficult to ask anyone to ignore. Let's hope their security people get right on this issue after the holiday.

OK CS got back to me and fixed the issue preventing transfer between sportsbook and casino. Still unable to give me details as to what the "security issue" is that was flagged on my account. Having said that I then received the request to submit documents so I will see what happens. Cannot say that I am overly happy with the lack of information but at least the customer services seem able to push things along when prompted second time around.

I will just add here the most recent update of my experience after an exchange with CS after asking how long it will take to get my documents verified (I sent them 2 days ago). This is what I got back:

"The information that you submitted has been received and forwarded to our Security team. All such documents are reviewed as soon as possible on a first come-first served basis. When that review has been completed you will be contacted by e-mail. Unfortunately we do not have a time estimate of how long that will be. We ask that you allow for up to five business days for that review to be done."

Probably this kind of thing is the norm but I personally think that 5 business days to look over 3 documents is way over the top (on top of my "security issue" about which I have received no further details).

The issue is kind of redundant now as I have played through my winnings so I will just say here that I would recommend that anyone who signs up at sports interaction to get your documents in before making a deposit otherwise if you catch a decent win you will have a good number of days in which to lose it again before you are allowed to make a withdrawal. To be fair the CS seems very good here but it is the shadowy "Security Team" that leave a lot to be desired.

IF this had happened to me, I would have a talk with the person controlling my hands and make it clear I do not wish to play back winnings because you'll always lose! Tell your hand controller to get their act together or they will be sorry ;)

Message received and understood :) I know the fault is mine - all I am trying to say here is that customers who are used to getting docs verified within a matter of hours (like slottyvegas for example) will be in for a rude awakening.

Now after all of that fuss and delay getting my account verified I received an email today from Sport Interaction saying that

"Sports Interaction has taken the decision to no longer allow gaming from your jurisdiction/region." (UK).

Not entirely unexpected I suppose. Where will I get my Playtech fix now???

Ladbrokes? Betfred? Bet365?

Self excluded from all I am afraid. I had a nice setup going whereby I was signed up with one casino for each of my favourite brand of games and self excluded from the rest to avoid losing too much per month by having poor self control and an abundance of open accounts.
For other players in the same situation as me the whole UK licensing nonsense may also have a negative impact on their access to their favourite games. I believe that my self-ellcusion at Gala Casino is due to expire soon so I will probably try to have that reopened.
Even that is probably a waste of time if the stories be true about the marvel slots disappearing within the next year or so

Yeah I'm pretty sure Marvel will be pulling the plug once the current licenses run out - gambling supposedly doesn't portray the whole 'family friendly' Disney vibe. I guess Playtech is lucky that the licenses were for as long as they were, Intercasino lost their Marvel slots quite a while ago. And they've currently moved on to DC Comics, so who knows, a smart Playtech developer may approach DC to fill the void whenever Marvel bails.
