Hi everyone,

I am Paul, I administrate casino guides in France - casinotop10 - casinotoplists and gambling planet. I am sourcing infos on new technologies in gaming from game suppliers like Mg- Netent and others. I do edit content and publish news form the industry and other strategic articles, reviews and much more. I would like to source on a topic such as new technologies in gaming. There are live casinos, games on smartphones and so on, i would like to orientate my outreach project on what would be the next innovative technology from suppliers to take up the game experience to another level - more immersive, more interraction, mu;ltiplayer socail gaming etc.

Anyone feels like sharing ideas or feels like getting involved on this content?

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately you're not likely to get much information from suppliers about what they are doing to take their games to the next level until they themselves tell everyone about it (via PR etc).

As I'm sure you're aware, the financial & physical resources companies invest in development is usually pretty significant, so releasing information about what they are doing before they are ready to actually release the finished product could give their competitors valuable insight into their strategy. This may also enable a more dynamic developer to rush a competitive product through just to get something to market ahead of who was originally building it. There are many here (myself included) that could give a guess at what we believe the next big innovation would be, but without a solid source (i.e. the games suppliers themselves) this will probably be pure speculation & as such, may not achieve your desired results).

That said, there's a couple of major gaming shows in the next few weeks - G2E in Vegas 30th Sept - 2nd Oct (

). If you're not already familiar with them, these shows are usually accompanied by a flurry of PR on new product developments and technology. A good example of the kind of innovation seen at the shows was at iCE earlier this year, Microgaming were demonstrating some of their slots on the Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch. (I'm not sure they're thinking that we'll all be playing slots on our watches, more than they were demonstrating their ability to deliver content onto any platform). A clip of their 'Dark Knight Rises' slot (inc the movie extracts for hitting 5OAK) can be seen

. (Please note this is not my clip & one of the things it doesn't show is the watch actually vibrated too when wins are hit). If you can't get to the shows yourself, I recommend you sign-up to their newsletters - these are typically emailed daily to subscribers & contain all key info about who's doing what.

Hope this helps.
