Hey guys,

I haven't seen a thread for these new games, apologies if this has been covered.

You may see that this month 32Red (cough: and possibly some other MG casinos, I think there may be some) have three new viper slot games. They are (I believe) the same game with a different theme - I think the idea is to see which version works best.

What are your thoughts? Does the theme itself matter or is it the bonuses/feature that works for you? Would you rather play a (for example) Sushi slot rather than a Monster slot even though they are similar?

I hope I have got the theory right, as it's my personal opinion, what do you guys think? Be nice :)

Regards

Mark

If I'm not wrong these are the same games but with different skins.
Sure, I appreciate the new game but Microgaming can do better than this I think.

I tried them all three, on lowest bet. I won some but I must say that they were boring and not any games I will play again.

The suchi one looked best so I would probably choose that one if I tried again, but, well they were just non important slots :D

Tried the candy one today, about 30 spins then closed the game, just thought it was boring as hell.

edited to add, IMO the bonus games are more important than the theme BUT the base game still has to have something special to keep you entertained

There are other games (like Halloweenies and Dogfather) that are the same, I play them both and don't really have a favorite - just play the one that seems to be paying. I haven't had a chance to play the new ones for real yet, but personally I think most people will pick a favorite based on whether they win on it or not, not so much because they like the graphics better.

I played these at guts today both the candy and sushi versions.
I wont be playing these again
I thought the graphics were ok but they ate money faster then any other slot i have played.
Approximately 300 spins and i couldn't get a free game feature.
Typical low paying mg slots

Mixed views Mark. On the one hand it's refreshing to actually have something which is NOT 243 ways. I like the idea of up to 25 symbols per line. However the features (or lack thereof) don't feel as exciting as Jurassic Park or terminator. I guess it would be cheeky to enquire if casinomeister members will get any free spins..... Whoops I just did :p

The other point I would make is that MG seem to be deserting the "budget " player. I mainly play 243 way but sometimes when short of money it's nice to take a multi liner and play less lines so can still play when skint. It's understandable that 243 ways can't go below 30p but there is no logical reason for these new 25 line slots to deny the player from choosing amount of lines. Sure can play on practice mode but that's not gambling.

Tried these slots and yeah same slot...different skin. Wasn't that hard getting features but it seems almost impossible to get a big win in these slots, so they are quite boring unfortunately. Decent graphics and decent music. MG really can do a lot better.

I am a gambler and as such the theme does not matter to me (except, to be fair in an initial attraction to try the slot kind of way, - such as Jurassic park).

Long term its all about how the game plays for me and what the free spin/bonus rounds are like.

Also I agree with the above poster.

STOP DENYING THE PLAYER THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THE AMOUNT OF LINES PLAYED!

For me the theme does matter, it is important for me to like what I´m watching and listening too for hours. For example, I had some really good winning sessions at Deck the Halls, but I can´t play it because of the red coloured christmas theme..it burns my eyes. Sushi and Monsters yes - Candy no!

About the new slots features: I love the split feature, it gives me minor wins more often - what I prefer to rare possible big wins. And I like paylines, decent graphics and background sounds.

I think Microgaming did a good job this time.

I was too quick to judge these earlier.
I gave it one more try as i wanted to see the free game and hit the free game after 20 spins.
This was on a 25cent bet and it was 5 sushi symbols in the free game.
I chose the 8 free games on this hit.
Sorry i missed the screenshot of the actual spin.

Surprisingly pleased....

Sweets
Ok, Tried sweets briefly, wasn't keen, so dead it was like puling teeth.. However I do like the look,, but can't comment on the bonus level

Sushi
Sushi really bored me in every way - it didn't even try and tempt me with the bonus.

Monsters
Monsters - Different Story weirdly, Really liked graphics - I am edging to the more simpler slot these days after the likes of T2 and Jurassic. Love the whole Monsters multiply part and felt similar to InBloom. I also just got 5 lots of free rounds inside 15 mins at most...

50p spins
Chose top paying 8 spins - won a few quid
Chose lowest 16 spins - won a few quid
Chose middle 12 spins - won £30 Gettiing better!
Chose 10 spins - won a few quid
Chose 14 spins- won £10

SO, although not a huge wad, I really cant not argue with that frequency. All in all if I had to choose just one - would be Monsters....

Ok Just upped my bet to £1.25 for a one off quick spin and got free spins,
Chose top paying 8 spins - won £100

Gues it's fast becoming a favourite :yahoo:

Hey guys,

I tried the sushi a couple of times, but somehow it just made me feel hungry  ...sticking to the monsters for now

tough to get the full line tho....

I like the candy but then I've always had a sweet tooth :) I've decided I like these slots... Purely subjective view as in practice mode so no real money lost or gained. Will play for real though but a good practice session stops me wasting too much wonga..... Although conversely had plenty of times I'd wished for real!

I'm pretty sure this is the first thread I've ever read on here where NOBODY mentions the actual names of the slots for 2 days and 2 pages

Anyway...
Props at least that they're not 243 line conveyor belt moneyguzzlers, but as other posters have said it's a pity line numbers can't be selected.

I was interested in these when I assumed they would have subtly differing variance but if you're saying they're just the same game reskinned
(and as the lines are fixed) that's not so interesting.

On pretty much any new 32 red/Microgaming slot, I have to play the same lines and bet sizes as everyone else. My only contribution is my finger going up and down.
With an older 32 red/Microgaming slot, I can set up (for example) a 36p spin as 3 lines of 12p, 6 lines of 6p, 9 lines of 4p and enjoy having dynamic control of variance.
This for me is a crucial part of what makes slotting enjoyable.

So I'll stick to playing the older games at your excellent casino.

Just been giving them a spin myself, it's strange the way you get a preference for one particular slot (I preferred Candy) but then something like this changes your mind...

Old Attachment (Invalid)

Sadly it was practice play, but I do now have a thing for Sushi lol.

Interesting.

tried all 3

gave them a go at your fine casino last night australia time
they where ok had one ok win of a few times bet
not to big on the features seemed gimped as the amount of symbols was alot less the base game

Tried all 3 & as has been said before, it's good to see some variation to 243 ways, but I'm not sure releasing these all at the same time reflects too well, as IMHO it could be interpreted as a lack of imagination... At least when they've released other games of a similar genre (e.g. 'Untamed...' series), they pushed them out separately & mixed in with some different slots. If you didn't like an untamed game, at least there was something else new which could be more favored. To use a poker analogy, September release seems like an 'all-in or fold' strategy(?).

The games do have a nice touch with the split-symbols & giving the opportunity to win big in the base game. (Unfortunately I can't give a view on the free-spins feature - I did ~200 spins on each game but didn't manage to hit 3 or more scatters on any of the games. (I tend to avoid free-play of all games for the exact reason illustrated by Mark above - that would be so frustrating!)).

I have to say that the marketing side of my brain is thinking that perhaps the monsters version of this game would have been better suited to a release in October, (so could also be used in a campaign around a Halloween / Trick or Treat themed promotion(?). I guess the candy version could also fit into that thought process, or perhaps even a December release - no idea about the timing of a sushi-based promotion though!). The pessimist in me is also thinking the release has been done it this way on purpose - making the September games kind of a non-event so as to build even more anticipation for the imminent release of their 'Game of Thrones' slot.

Not sure if this helps, but thought I'd contribute my 2c

Wow. New Slots... I always try to be the first one trying the new ones, but have been busy the last few days... Hope i can try them later this weekend :)

Have not tried these yet, assumed they were 243 way games judging by the thumbnails, but recently all mgs new games have been a crock of shite so they didn't really interest me at all.

Having said that I may give them a whirl sometime seeing as they are 25 liners.
So sick to death of 243 ways slots, where five of a kinds often pay less than 1x bet (I remember when getting five of a kind was an exciting thing).

They're fun!!! First bonus 50x bet, several 5-10x bet all the time during base play. Splitting symbols is not my favorite feature but they're ok :)

ok I had a chance to try these today - got a red letter thanks 32Red! - I didn't manage to hit a feature or win much of anything on any of them, but theme-wise I'd have to say I like the monster or the sushi ones better. The candy one was a little meh.

One thing though...to me it really doesn't feel like any of these games are quite 'finished' if you know what I mean? The monster one may be closest, but to some degree they all feel like prototypes of how the 'real' games will be. Did anyone else get that? Or am I just expecting too much?

UPDATE

Ok still stand firm on Sushi, blah... Sweets picked up last night and to my surprise the icons split the same as monsters... Had played it earlier and didn't get one split hence why i though Monsters was so cool, but now warming to sweets.

Still siding with monsters though only because it has been slightly more generous. :notworthy

Now here's my thing - Just a little thing, but a thing nonetheless. I was disappointed to notice that if a wild completes a set that wild only has a value of 1 as opposed to doubling winnings or counting for 2 etc etc. For example Noah's Ark Slot, the wild counts as double when substituting.
So quite unusually for me, I find no excitement in having a wild substitute, in fact quite the opposite as I lose out on the possibility of that icon splitting. :(

I hope I explained that correctly. :what:
