Bonus Complaint Metroplay Max cashout on Deposit bonus

So , after signing up to metroplay casino( which is in the baptism by fire section) , i have discovered that for the 150% up to £250 bonus, there is a max cap on bonus winnings of £5,000

But whats even more cheeky

if you dont deposit straight away, they send you an email with a 150% up to £500, and the max cap is £2500!!!


Are these terms predatory?

That's not predatory. That's downright absurd. I am pretty sure someone screwed up when designing the promos.

the way i think it works, if you lose your deposit( cash first, then bonus funds are used), you then use your bonus funds.

The bonus funds of £500 will be capped at £2500, so you can never win more than £2500

Pathetic coming from a national newspaper( considering that most people would consider it "safe" as it has the well known brand name "Metro" and is advertised in the newspaper)

I will be acquiring a copy of said newspaper and will check to see if the terms are displayed in it, which i highly doubt as the add is pretty small( less than a 1/4 of the page)

So basically they are treating the bonus money like a no deposit but in order to get it you have to deposit? Max cap on deposit bonuses really shouldn't be allowed in an Accredited casino IMO. I think the casino should rethink this approach.

no, you lose your deposit, then you play with bonus funds, like most casinos,

these bonus fund winnings are capped at £2500


so you deposit £300, they give you £450 bonus, you lose your £300 bonus, you might do a £5 spin, heck yeah you win 800x your stake, then you look into your bonus balance and realise that £1500 has been confiscated, thank you very much,...

I get what your saying but in order to get the bonus you have to risk your own funds first so there should be no cap on the wins from the bonus. They really need to change that rule.

I am not allowed to acces the site, so cannot check the terms. Can you withdraw before touching the bonus money?

If no, then the second bonus terms you mentioned is absolutely unacceptable. Probably the worst I have seen at
a casino trying to get accredited.

Regarding the first welcome bonus, the 5k cap is not that uncommon. Even my favourite casino has it.
All depends on how you look at it. From my point of view (my deposit would be 25 - 50 euro max) it`s not that bad.
Unwelcomed, yes, but not too concerning.
But if you decide to take the max bonus, it`s roughly 12.5x cashout, which sure looks a lot worse.
Then I wouldn`t recommend taking it.

Other things to consider are -

Is play on progressives allowed with welcome bonus? If yes, does this max cashout rule apply to progressive wins?
(If yes, this could cause a major problem and needs to be changed).

I`d say, contact the rep, see what he/she has to say.

The terms are clear. Metroplay pay quick, no or little reverse time (I used to play there once) and the bonus isn't too bad. Effectively you can w/d if you win big with the cash deposit without restriction and don't touch the bonus. This is better IMO than some sites which turn the WHOLE deposit plus bonus into bonus funds and tie you in. So, you lose your cash balance and have a second chance of taking up to 2.5k out if you do well with the bonus. Not as bad as people present it.
You pays your money and makes your choice.
I believe progressives are excepted.

I have checked the site today (I left them months back) and the games have changed they now have MG flash etc. and the bonus is FAR WORSE.
You DO have both the cashout limit AND bonus tie-in which above I stated was not the case. So, yes it IS utterly sh!te..........

Not really - it's the standard anti-AP blurb every casino has, using bonuses to play low-risk strategies.

Either way I thought it was bad. Imagine if you have an amazing run and manage to get a balance of £10,000 (I can dream) but because of this rule you will forfeit half of this. That to me is unacceptable.

Max Cashout Removed

The Max Cashout rule has been removed completely from the site and that is possibly a remnant of the old site that had not changed over as of yet. The new MetroPlay.com site is live and the Max Cashout policy that the previous owners implemented has been removed.

The reason for it staying on so long is due to technology. Often technology speeds things up, in this instance because we were on a particular CMS it both dictated what changes we could make on the site and the markets we could reach out to.

Wild Reels i have asked our Product team to take a look at enabling this feature.
