MICROGAMING SIGNS AGREEMENT FOR JURASSIC PARK FRANCHISE

Iconic film trilogy roars to life with innovative online slot games

ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming (www.microgaming.co.uk) has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing to produce online slot games centred on one of the biggest film trilogies in motion picture history, Jurassic Park.

Released in 1993, Jurassic Park became an instant phenomenon. Featuring Academy Award®-winning visual effects and ground-breaking filmmaking, this epic film is sheer movie-making magic that was 65 million years in the making. The popularity of Jurassic Park led to a second and third installment released in 1997, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and 2001, Jurassic Park III respectively, as well as a successful 3D re-release of the original in 2013. The license includes this classic collection of films.

Now, fans of Jurassic Park can also look forward to reliving the adventure with an online slot game coming this summer. It will be a 243 ways-to-win game with five different free spin modes depending on the DNA analysis of the dinosaur randomly selected.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, comments: “Jurassic Park is a seminal movie - its stunning visual effects and computer-generated imagery set a new benchmark in the industry. It’s a film that we can draw parallels from in terms of our game creation and our aim to deliver the most visionary and imaginative gaming experiences to the end player. The Jurassic Park brand is legendary, and our game development team is busy creating an all-mighty slot for release later in the year.”

Microgaming will be previewing the Jurassic Park online slot at ICE Totally Gaming, ExCeL London, 4th to 6th February 2014, at stand number N11-120.

A bold new direction for Microgaming!

I wonder which slot it will be a clone of :D

TBH I think they pretty much nailed the 243-wayer with IR, no other 243-wayer has come close to that slot IMO.

For pity's sake don't let MG read that, or we'll have clones of IR every release until 2019.

Sounds great this and Avalon 2 but with the danish release of MG slots we might see these in 1½-2years, still waiting on playboy but we got secret santa at release for some reason.

It's nothing to get excited about.

If you take away the 4 or 5 popular 243-line games and a few others slots like BDBA, you aren't left with very much in the whole MG catalogue.

MG need to modernise their slots but they seem content on repackaging the same shit time and time again. They may boast about having 500+ games in the download casino, but they are nothing but a collection of failed slots that have acumulated over the years.

When I hear MG are releasing a new game, my first thought is "I wonder how boring it will be". They will just dress up a bad game with an expensive theme. Let's just hope it's not another clone.

Well, fair comment, but at least unlike NetBent you can place your deposit and actually get some gameplay and sometimes even a decent profit.

Yup. As horrible as some people may think these new releases are, last year, I was up the last 6 months, and pretty much furnished my house and paid my rent from the high var MG releases

As much as I like Playboy and IR, I still lean towards the older games myself. Thunderstruck, Spring Break, ISIS, Cashapillar, Avalon, BDBA Again, Stash Of The Titans, Ladies Nite and Deck The Halls all see some of my cash pretty regularly.

And slightly OT, now Intercasino no longer have their original video poker, no-one else comes close to matching MG's VP.

Your opinion, many of us dont share it. A large % of MG slots can accumulate huge wins, even their `boring` ones as you put it. The same cannot be said of many other software providers. Netent anyone? :D

It's not just Jurrasic Park.....

MICROGAMING IN LICENCE AGREEMENT WITH TERMINATOR 2 BRAND

edit: ...Whoops... Thanks Rain, I missed that other thread :)

How did I miss that! Thanks Rainmaker :)

By the way... at a quick check the 243 ways to win games only make up 17% of the slot games we have available. Personally I'm a huge fan, but each to their own I suppose. :)

The payouts are fine, but the quality of the game play lacks any innovation. Some of the new ones they released look 10 years out of date. In 2004 those games may have been considered well made but in 2014 they look bland.

When a new WMS slot is released it's something to get excited about. The entire framework of their games are so much superior to those produced by Microgaming. Regardless of the varience and likelihood of a "big win", you can still make a game fun to play depending on how its structured.

Microgaming are starting to feel a little bit like Cryptologic. I wouldn't be surprised if over the next 2-3 years their popularity declined unless they stop resting on their laurels.

I understand where your coming from, and in some ways your right, but staid slots or not unless another software starts competing and offering `the big hits` as high and as often as MG does I cant see that happening. And MG know this.

Looks fantastic. I'll certainly be giving this a blast and a half. I just hope it doesn't end up being a huge disappointment like Avalon 2.
