Urgent: Do NOT deposit by Neteller until further notice

Do NOT deposit by Neteller until further notice. Your transactions will appear to be rejected by the system, but the funds will actually be deducted from your account.

There is no ETA for this problem to be solved at this time - and all they will do is apologize to you. No warnings were sent to customers, and presumably operators have not alerted their customers either.

I will update you when I have heard that this problem has been resolved.

I already crossposted at WOL ... if you are a member of any other large forums please by all means let them know there. Don't worry about the smaller forums (including my own) - it will just make too much of a mess to clean up afterwards :)

This post is for everyone's protection - for whatever reason Neteller is unable to warn their customers - but I certainly do not see any value in leaving this thread up any longer than necessary.

Thanks for the heads-up Spear. Have a good one.

Most welcome, Cipher. Other large gambling forums are now picking up the message as well.

If Neteller get smart, this will not be a PR disaster for them. By that I mean an apology is due to its members for not doing enough to prevent this problem, not to mention poor scheduling (it may be a Monday, but it's still the 1st of the month).

Having said that, I am sure everyone's funds are safe and that Neteller will fix things as soon as they can - but I still think they could have at least done something to stem the tide.

Don't know - but I can't see withdrawals being a problem as the operator would have to process it first... and if any operator is silly enough to try it now they deserve what they get.

However - I have heard that some payments from operators are showing up in accounts... so perhaps this update isn't directly affecting withdrawals.

As of just now I have completed a deposit via Neteller into a casino (different from the other ones I tried) so it appears that the problem has been resolved for people making deposits from this point onwards.

However - Neteller has yet to rectify the situation with deposits which were made during the interim period - so perhaps we should keep this open until such time as it appears they have properly credited everyone's accounts.

I made a first time deposit at sportingbet which was lost. I got an error but the money was deducted from my account. After about 30 minutes of calling both and getting confirmation numbers it was fixed. Now I see it wasnt sportingbets fault. I actually got emails from two poker rooms warning of this last night.

I tried this morning to deposit via Neteller InstaCash to Intercasino and i got a message saying "Neteller server is down. Please try again in a few seconds." Anyone else get this similiar message? Not knowing there was a problem, I tried a couple more times within 30 minutes and i got the same message. I hope they don't withdrawal 3 times out of my checking account!! I checked my Neteller account and they do not show any of these transactions and also my bank doesn't show any transactions either. Do you think I'm okay? I won't try to deposit anymore until i here from them directly.

late......

same experience with crypto. I tried also crockfords and domain, nobody want's my money, the neteller server is down.
No money is deducted from my neteller account.

The problem was only solved recently, at least as far as depositing into a Microgaming casino is concerned. They are now supposedly busy recrediting all transactions which took place during that time.

If you got a "server down" message you could be okay. The message I was seeing was "could not complete transaction" which is typically ominous. Perhaps after I gave them a bit of stick (well, ok, a LOT of stick) they listened and shut down the transaction server until such time as they resolved the problem.

Ok - looks like transactions are more or less back to normal - but if you made a deposit in the meantime and did not get your credits, please send an email to the casino/sportsbook/poker room support and ask them to credit your account.

neteller website down?

Has anyone tried to go to Neteller's homepage? I have tried unsuccessfully this morning and I get the "this page cannot be displayed" message when attempting to do so. I was attempting to see if a casino withdrawal had been credited back to Neteller.

Glad i deposited on the 30th...just read the posts regarding those that had problems. Needless to say, had no problems on the 30th. Hope all get their deposits straightened out and soon.

No change here. Just tried a NT Crypto deposit. No luck, checked out webpage - down. So I've no idea if it went through or not.

Considering the millions these punks are pulling in, the service they provide is truly pathetic. Their webpage is THE most cosistently down of any I use, and now transactions aren't even going through. Are they going to up and run with our balances next?

Jeez, I miss Paypal still, two years down the road. Never had an issue with them once. Thanks, Ebay.

This could be regional. I haven't been affected at all.

They do have this on the site as you log on to your account:

If you have transferred with NETeller and incurred an error, please email [email protected]

A NETeller agent will be happy to assist you. We apologize for any inconvenience.
*********************
If anyone has incurred a problem with a transaction, I'd suggest that they contact this person. I'd also like to hear about it here as well to see how widepread this really was.

That transaction didn't go through - NT site is back up and no sign, so "OK". Tried again; ANOTHER error message and no money; checked NT - money OUT this time; tried live help - live help seems unavailable; however, on re-logging into my casino account, money had shown up.

??

All very hard on the nerves. I won't be making any large deposits until they get their act together - this one was small change and it still freaked me out.

Be glad if the funds are still in your account - it might be frustrating but at least the funds aren't in limbo.

Be VERY upset if the funds have supposedly been transferred. This is totally inexcusable, especially for an upgrade - they should have performed a rollback from the first instant problems surfaced.

Thanks spearmaster...I AM glad the money is still in my account.
And YES.... It is frustrating.

It does appear that Neteller messed this one up. I'm sure you know that I'm a HUGE advocate of Neteller. I emailed Colin early yesterday notifying him of the problem.
It was about 8 A.M. EST.

Here is Colins reply:

Thanks John,

We launched a large project at 5 am this morning and the problem of transfers was noticed about an hour after. We have been working diligently to correct this issue. We will be informing our clients as well as rectifying the issues as soon as possible.

I will most likely be announcing an email address soon for clients to direct their concerns if they have had a transfer disappear.

Hopefully, this issue will be fixed promptly.

I don't want to jump to conclusions but when I do a withdrawal from any of the VPL casinos and I receive the confirmation that they have given the go ahead to their payment processor to credit my Neteller account, they money would already be there before I get the email or right after I get it. I received the following email from Crazy Vegas at 9:21am my time:

Dear xxomittedxx,

We have instructed our E-Cash Banking Processor to process your CAD$omitted withdrawal via Neteller. This payment is for the withdrawal made on account xxomittedxx

We do hope this transfer meets your approval.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information.

Thank you for playing with us.

It is now 11:06am and my Neteller still does not show the credit from the casino. This is very unusual, atleast in my experience, that the money is not there when I receive the payment email. I will wait some more time before I call the casino and email that Neteller email address but I wanted to ask if anyone else is having a problem going the other way, making withdrawals to Neteller from the casinos.

I'm a fan of Neteller too - in fact, one of their very first customers (when they actually had chip-cards that you were supposed to use to log in). But that does not excuse what is turning into a huge debacle.

Since Colin is already talking to you (I haven't sent him or any of my other contacts at Neteller any email yet), you might nudge him and say that they owe all of their customers an explanation and a huge apology. My message was passed through live support so I'm not entirely sure I want to repeat it in an email to them LOL - they must already be bombarded with complaints.

Done!

Actually, I'm going to respect the title of the thread and not use Neteller until I hear everything has been cleared up. Can't be doing with that kind of stress.

I got locked out of my account today for some unexplained reason and had a message to phone them. They said they were having some issues and they had to reactivate my account after calling me back. But i can't even get to the NETeller sign-in page at the mo to check it :-/

"Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
JRun closed connection.

I talked to a CS rep from VPL today and was told that they (VPL) have been informed by Neteller that because of some upgrades, withdrawals from the casinos to the Neteller accounts will take 2 - 3 business days to show up. So even after a casino approves and transfers the money to your Neteller you have to wait another 2 - 3 days to access it in Neteller. I can't even access the Neteller website right now so I can't check if the money went in.

They'd better get this mess straightened out by the weekend. Because there's a ton of sports action (NFL, NCAA and now even the NBA) that flows through Neteller on the weekends. This is liable to be a colossal mess.

Neteller Still Down!!!

I just made a deposit at Intercasino which they show no record of but which Neteller deducted from my account. I emailed the address they gave and am waiting for reply. Unfortunately live help is unavailable. Tried depositing at VIP Sports and was told unable to process. Hope they straighten this out soon, Neteller is my sole depositing option.

This is an email I JUST receved from Colin at Neteller:

Growth Has it's Issues

Growth Has it's Issues

In response to some inquiries about intermittent system outages and user frustration, here is the situation.

NETeller has had unprecedented growth and has found it necessary to accelerate the upgrading of our capabilities to accommodate the increase. Some of the upgrading is underway at the present time. An example would be our server and network upgrade to the tune of $1,000,000 +. This multiplies our capacity by at least 5 times at the data base and makes us horizontally scalable to meet client and merchant demands.

As might be expected with the implementation of any new software/hardware, we are experiencing some glitches. We are aware that our applications are running unacceptably slow and we are working around the clock to correct this problem. Additionally, we are experiencing a tremendous demand on our call center. We apologize for the long delays that some callers may be experiencing.

Again, we are very sorry for the difficulties that the combined computer problems plus new system glitches are causing our clients. We ask for your continued patience and understanding as we resolve these issues and refine our applications. We are working diligently to correct all existing problems and to deliver solid online applications, and are confident that you will be pleased with the end results.

Patience is a virtue, and a crap new card game at Intercasino! (Solitaire).*

I see all you guys panicking & jumping around, while I just chill.

Give Neteller a few days to sort it out, then all will be back to normal.
Hassling them was always only going to put more strain on their resources & just slow them down.

You humans - how did you ever evolve? (Prot again, K-PAX!) :D

* How did I manage to blow $110 on that stupid game?
Please - DON'T ASK! :icon_evil

It seems like there is serious problem with Neteller. Today i deposited at 2 casinos- money never showed up in my casino accounts. But it was withdrawn from my Neteler account. I stop using Neteller until the problem is resolved.

That's what happens when a huge industry like online gamimg lets itself depend on one major provider.

Neteller needs some decent competition.

"I feel your pain"(Bill Clinton)

But I have to ask why Firepay is not considered decent competition? Ten minutes to fund a casino vs 4-5 days via netteller. What am I missing???

still a problem

I tried a transaction a few minutes ago to Sun Vegas that didn't go thru. But the money left my Neteller account, so apparantly this problem is still ongoing....Aggravating. :(

Problems here too. Answer from NETeller (part of)

Unfortunately, we are in the middle of server upgrades and there have
been
some delays on transactions. You should have no troubles logging into
your
account....

I have 3 withdrawals that the casino paid to my Neteller account that have not shown up in my account. Neteller's response was that they were upgrading and things were delayed. Response from casino was that it was out of their hands as the payment was sent and receipt confirmed by Neteller, so I do not blame them at all. Right now I have a couple thousand sitting in limbo with no explanation as to when I will see it.

Update: 6:21pm eastern time - Now Neteller is down and I can't even get in to check if they put my money in.

Received all the above deposits this morning, and so did a friend of mine who was having the same problem. I guess we just have to be patient while they upgrade.
